I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

It is important for me to leave a review here, as these overwhelmingly positive reviews played an instrumental part in us coming to meet Dr Tarek. From the first meeting, it was clear that they were all right: Tarek was by far the most professional and honest, yet warm and caring, doctor we met. We arrived to him after several consultations at private clinics, none of which felt right. A couple of months earlier, we had been denied access to NHS-funded IVF after I was diagnosed with a very low egg reserve just before I turned 40. Tarek didn’t sugar-coat it for us, but he urged us to start straight away, keeping us grounded as to our chances of success in the build-up to the process. Once we started, he was incredibly supportive and always available for questions. He scanned me frequently and kept altering the dosage to ensure the few eggs I had would have the best chance of becoming an embryo, growing increasingly positive, but still realistic, with every milestone we reached during the course of treatment. We managed to get five eggs, a high number for me, and only one of these matured into an embryo. I will never forget the day of the embryo transfer and how touched we were by his sincere wish for this single embryo to become our baby. It was warm and heartfelt in a way I couldn’t have imagined a clinical procedure could be. And against all odds, that one embryo, on the first cycle of a 10%-chance IVF process, turned out to be our beautiful son, who is about to turn three months old. We will be forever grateful to Tarek and the entire staff for this miracle.

Since having a cystectomy back in 2023 and being discharged from another hospital, my periods were terribly painful lasting 16+ days causing me a lot pain and some days I felt I was unable to cope, I was often cancelling on plans and having to bin clothing due to the heaviness of my periods. I often felt down due to the pain and felt stuck after being told by another hospital my pain was down to “exam stress” Miss Ghosh believed my pain and investigated with multiple MRI tests, blood tests and ultrasounds I then got diagnosed with Adenomyosis. Miss Ghosh also removed me of the contraceptive patch and changed me over to the mirena coil which has changed my periods. They are now much lighter and do not last any longer than one week and are much more manageable. Miss Ghosh explained thoroughly the benefits of the coil and how if anything changes I can contact her. Thank you Miss Ghosh, you have made a massive impact to me and I am very appreciative. I would highly recommend Miss Ghosh!

Professor Chatrath is a sensational consultant. His 'bedside' (office) manner was quaint, kind yet direct with information provision/ instruction. His ability to quickly identify the issues I've been experiencing for a while and offer sufficient paths to ease & eventual remediation were first class and I've made tremendous steps already towards fully recovering from my right-side eustachian tube dysfunction! I couldn't recommend Professor Chatrath enough to anyone with ENT-related health issues/ concerns/ worries etc... The staff as Spire Hartswood were, as ever, fabulous too! Also I am extremely grateful for spotting the fact that I was still on Ticagrelor eighteen months after a heart bypass, my doctor removed them from my prescription which in turn stopped me bruising quite easily, so another positive outcome.

When I first started looking for an endometriosis specialist and came across Mr Raza and all the positive reviews, I wondered: ‘can he really be that great?!’. The answer: yes he was. I had stage 4 DIE and a frozen pelvis. Mr Raza not only had the technical skill and expertise to deal with a complex case (with minimally invasive and cutting edge surgery) but also showed so much care and compassion, which gave me so much confidence and reassurance going into my surgery. On my order I specifically asked for CAPSULES of paracetamol not Tablets. The turn around was quick but I realized when receiving 3 boxes of tablets no care had been taken to check the medecine. When I asked for a return label they asked for photos and description of the packaging of which I cant do . I'm over 90 and not familiar with taking photos and being a simple mistake in product I didn't understand. I will never use these people again and wil never recommend them. My order #

I am currently 6wks PO from having BA with Mr Apostolou. I cannot recommend him enough. Mr Apostolou was very professional and reassured any uncertainties I may have had. I am very happy with the results and I have not had any problems whatsoever. My very short stay at Nuffield Hospital was very pleasant and I was very well cared for, even after surgery with routine check ups. I will certainly be recommending Mr Apostolou to friends who I know are considering the same surgery.

I’ve never liked the NHS GP system. Ten minutes feels rushed and it isn’t suitable for those who want to pro actively look after their health and longevity. Luckily I’ve had a great experience with Ezra / Zenvité. Being able to schedule an appointment online at a time / day suitable for my busy schedule is perfect. I’m also able to get any medication required delivered to my door. Having regular check ins gives me peace of mind that my health is in order.

I had to give out personal information in a waiting room with other people. Also I was sat in the waiting room about half an hour having been nil by mouth, there were people eating and drinking. There should be a separate waiting area for patients. It was 2 hrs before I was seen, which is too long when you've been told to be nil by mouth. I had to explain I was autistic to the doctor, who was fine once he understood.

I was recommended St Giles physiotherapy to take our Son to as he was complaining of knee pain. Claudiu diagnosed what was wrong and gave our son various exercises to do to help with the pain. Our son also had laser treatment and massages which really helped. The exercise programme we continued with at home too using a friendly app to track progress. I highly recommend St Giles physiotherapy and Claudiu.
