I visited Tev Aho for a second opinion following my attendence at my local NHS hospital for urinary retention where I was advised that I would require long term catheterisation with little chance of successful surgery. Being a relatively fit 70 year old I found this prospect extremely disheartening and as a result set about challenging this prognosis. My research led me to the Cambridge Urology Partnership website where I was encouraged by the solutions that could be available to me and to the successes claimed by Tev and his colleagues through the HoLEP procedure to those with my symptoms. My first contact with Tev was immediately very positive and I was given confidence from the fact that he had no hesitation in recommending HoLEP for me and advising me that there was a 98% prospect of a successful outcome. He explained in a very clear manner what was involved in the process and answered all of my questions openly with all risks (albeit relately small in my case) fully explained. At the conclusion of that consultation I had no hesitation in agreeing to have the precedure which took place within three weeks. My precedure was carried out by Tev at the Nuffield Health Hospital in Cambridge where I received excellent care from staff. The procedure which was under general anaesthetic took less than an hour and I suffered no immediate post operative pain at all. Following an overnight stay I was discharged by Tev following a positive flow test in early afternoon. I am pleased to say that I have never looked back and after years of deteriorating flow and the recent urine retention I am now back to having a flow that I could only have dreamed of a year ago. In summary it is no exageration to say that my experience of having had the HoLEP procedure carried out by Tev has been almost life changing. He displays absolute professionalism at all times with a pleasant demeanour. He is thorough in explaining details and he inspires confidence through his detailed knowledge and his successful achievements. I hope never to have to meet him again but if need dictated he would be my number one choice!

Everything great, but I would suggest that the reception team focus on the clients in front of them, rather than managing the phones at the same time – I wonder if phones could be managed somewhere away from reception, as every time I had to go back to the desk or passed it by there were people standing waiting being ignored because the reception team we’re doing other things, which doesn’t make a great first impression or mean that people feel cared about or important. This was the case at both the main entrance reception and the outpatient reception. Again, everything was great and everybody was lovely. But also to say that I was asked to come early but not told that I would be having an x-ray in advance, so I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment, then had to go for my x-ray and ended up not being seen until 40 minutes past my appointment time, which was the original time, before they moved it to an earlier slot! It didn’t really matter on this occasion, but it’s just a little inefficient and it would’ve been nice to have some clarity as to what to expect when I arrived and I could’ve also arrived in time for the x-ray prior to my appointment had I’ve been told, also I could’ve filled the forms in prior to arriving if they’ve been emailed. No complaints about anything though, and very happy with the service and care overall

Mr Malec was recommended to me by a nurse friend and fellow horserider, who'd done all the research and had chosen Mr Malec at Rowley Hall in Stafford for her husbands future knee replacements. I'm so glad I went with her recommendation as Mr Malec is the best. He's kind, reasuring and just a nice man as well as being a great knee surgeon. My operation went without issue 6 weeks ago and today after a check up with Mr Malec and Andy the PT, on the progress I've made, I have passed with flying colours. My xray looks great and I have a good solid, painfree and stable knee where once I had the opposite of all those. I'm now looking forward to walking again in the hills that I've missed and the riding, the swimming and even the small things like walking down the stairs. Its early days but what an amazing change already after 6 weeks. I'm reborn. Cannot thank Mr Malec enough. He's changed my life as it was, I can clearly see that will be ongoing into the future with a smile. Onwards and upwards! Thankyou Mr Makec and your team.

My experiences of PMDD and perimenopause were taken seriously, without minimising or rushing, and I felt fully supported in making decisions about my care. Since the appointment, I genuinely cannot believe the difference I feel within myself. The impact on my wellbeing has been significant, both emotionally and physically, and for the first time in a long while I feel hopeful and grounded in my body again. Compassionate, knowledgeable and person-centred care makes such a difference, and this clinic offers exactly that. I arrived at 8.50 for a 9 am appointment. Was taken for a urine test which was irrelevant to why I was there and I never saw any results of. At 9.01 I saw the Dr arriving in the clinic. I was told she had a telephone appointment. At 9.15 I saw a patient leave her consulting room and was eventually seen. Despite having filled out the pre questionaire with my medication Dr Carulli couldn't find it but instead wanted to go through them. But then in her covering letter to my GP missed out significant ones like statins. Dr Carulli listed herself as a specialist in Osteoporosis but didn't seem to know a lot - at one point asking why there were two scores in my DEXA scan (one is the T score one is the z score a WEB MD search can tell you that...).

I recently came to see Dr Chalabi about a new hernia, he previously operated on me earlier this year, I would highly reccommend him when it comes to Hernias, his knowledge and skill set are definitely top tier and his approach is wonderful.His communication skills are always excellent, he is compassionate, reassuring and always goes above and beyond. He has helped me and it was through my father who is a patient of his, that I was lucky enough to hear about him. A big thank you to Dr Chalabi. Also a big thank you to his secretary, Bobi, who is always so polite and helpful. She always goes above and beyond. Her communication skills are excellent, she is polite and very understanding. Wishing them both the best in their career.

Efficient and professional experience, I am pain free in a much shorter than expected time! I’m an avid runner and dancer and was worried about my recovery following a foot neuroma removal which Mr Singh was going to conduct. He provided candid advice about attitude to recovery and set realistic expectations (that were very reasonable). I was back to dancing within 3-4 weeks of surgery which was priority #1, running is taking a bit longer (which was expected) but Sam gave me full confidence in follow ups that my recovery was going great and I should be back to running soon. A really positive experience overall and I am so glad I went through with his services.

I would rate my overall experience 10 out of 10 From the moment I arrived I was treated courteously and professionally. Julia and her assistant treated me with great care and consideration, calmly advising each stage of my treatment and checking I was comfortable and happy to carry on. Dee in reception is a treasure, first appearances are so important to a business, she welcomes you with a cheery "putting one at ease" smile. The reception area and treatment rooms are absolutely spotless. I have been using OSD Dental Dept since 2017 & I will continue doing so, I would not hesitate in recommending OSD Dental Dept to anyone who may ask.

Tucked away, the clinic had a bright and airy interior. A warm welcome greeted me at the door and I was swiftly directed to reception. Unlike some medical waiting areas it felt comfortable and homely. I noted they had security was at the entrance, which was reassuring. A cheerful receptionist checked me in efficiently. The waiting area was pleasant, offering a variety of hot drinks including still and sparkling water, biscuits and snacks. I asked for a taxi on leaving and the lady at reception explained they didn’t have a direct telephone number, but would get a colleague to wave one down for me. Very thoughtful.

Holly House and its staff are excellent. The whole atmosphere was one of cleanliness, professionalism and friendliness Particular mention should go to Mo, my nurse throughout the day. He was calm, honest and made me feel comfortable and that my concerns were listened to. A great asset to the staff. (My only complaint was I was told to arrive at 6.30am, as I was to be first on the list at 7.30am; to then be told my operation would not be until midday. I didn't even bring a book! However, I did get to watch four episodes of Frasier back-to-back, so it wasn't all bad!)

Just a couple of things… Firstly, during the pre-assessment appointment with the specialist nurse, I was informed that a catheter would be inserted by the anaesthetist - which is incorrect! (think it’s the nurse, but it was important to me as I knew the anaesthetist personally) Secondly, please move the wall clock in the room! Following surgery when you’re lying awake during what feels like an endless night, it would be good to be able to know what time it is.

I saw Dr Campbell for the first time in May 2025, after being very highly recommended from a previous Doctor. Dr Campbell was very thorough and kept me informed and at ease at all times. I have since had my procedures done and my follow up examination which turned out to be very successful, all my symptoms subsided after my first procedure and I am glad to say that no reoccurrence has been detected, thank you Dr Campbell and all your wonderful staff.

Back surgery. Walked in with extreme pain. Back operation and walked out without any pain or discomfort Mr Leggate was fantastic in pre operation care and explanation. On the day of the operation he was very reassuring. Post operation visited me twice in twelve hours. Extremely professional, friendly and reassuring. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
