I underwent Left THR surgery 3 months ago under the care of Mr Ravikumar. As a nervous patient, I was particularly appreciative of the way Mr Ravikumar approached my care. He was highly professional, took the time to explain the entire procedure clearly, and ensured I understood what to expect at every stage. This reassurance made a significant difference and greatly eased my anxiety, contributing to a very positive overall experience. The standard of care throughout was excellent. Both Mr Ravikumar and the hospital staff were consistently professional, attentive and supportive. My recovery has been excellent, with no complications, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Mr Ravikumar to anyone who is considering or needs to undergo this procedure.

At the outset I was nervous as the suspected bcc was in an awkward place. Mr Pollock talked through all the options with me and I was happy with the decision to go for a "small margin" in the first instance. The excision was done on 26th November. The surgery went well. Mr Pollock did an excellent job, particularly because it was around the mouth area. On 31st December I had a follow up appointment to find out the results. Mr Pollock reiterated the discussion we had previously had about the various options and then told me it was an infiltrative bcc with roots . I was very worried at the prospect of more surgery. He then told me he had successfully got it all out. Tip for next time: Maybe lead with "Its good news".

Professor George was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I explained the breathing difficulties I have been experiencing and that I had already seen several consultants without any success. He had clearly reviewed my notes beforehand and was well prepared for the appointment. He arranged the necessary tests straight away and was very reassuring throughout. He explained the next steps clearly and took the time to dictate a summary of our discussion during the consultation to ensure nothing was missed and that we were fully aligned. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience. Professor George is thorough and highly experienced, and I feel confident that my care is in the right hands.

Mr Ben Yates is in my opinion an excellent podiatric surgeon who gives a very good clinical opinion. I was unhappy that Mr Yates charged me for a “new patient” appointment when this was in fact a follow up appointment lasting about 12 minutes following previous surgery by Mr Yates. Furthermore, I did not receive a clinic letter from Mr Yates until I chased it up more than 2 weeks after my appointment. I received no apology for the delay in sending the letter. Mr Yate’s clinical letter did not contain all the information promised at the consultation and I was obliged to chase this information again. I emailed Mr Ben Yates to raise my concerns but I did not receive a reply from him.

A professional who is very easy to talk to. No airs or graces or arrogance here whatsoever. He examined my knee and was happy to give a realistic recovery time from total knee replacement surgery. At the same time he encouraged me to return to driving, whilst congratulating me on obvious efforts to adhere to the absolutely vital exercises I had stuck to both before and after surgery. I came away positively spurred on by this consultation today. I had been in skilful hands for this surgery. His Team also deserve a mention and praise. Leadership - so important.

The Inverness Outpatient Centre itself was excellent — clean, well organised, and very welcoming. From reception to clinical staff, everyone was extremely kind, professional, and helpful, which made the whole visit smooth and stress-free. The staff were attentive and friendly, creating a calm and reassuring environment throughout. Overall, a fantastic facility with extremely good staff, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

From my GP referral to my initial appointment it was less then 2 weeks. Before surgery I had 3 post operation assessments. The operation was completed as a day admission. I was kept full informed and treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. Mr Bhardwaj saw me on the morning before the operation and again later after it had been completed. Again, I was kept fully informed about my condition.

The operation went exactly as the surgeon had described it in our pre-op meeting, as did the post-op care. Since then (5 weeks ago), the recovery has gone well, exactly as per the advice summary issued as part of the post-op care. There have been no ill-effects or discomfort since the op and I look forward to getting back to my normal outdoor activities.

I was asked to arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the procedure with a full bladder, the latter of which was not necessary. It was a very long and uncomfortable waiting time and I would have brought a book should someone have told me this in advance. This was no reflection on Mr Alhasso though, who was excellent.
