I had the misfortune to talk to Dr. Declan Morgan, co-founder of Duality via Teleconference, or rather be spoken down to. Arriving late and in an evidently bad mood to the call, complaining about previous patients issues being 'complex', Dr. Morgan dismissed my 25yr medical history including diagnoses, seizures, medication and family history. With regards to family history, he regarded their diagnoses for pernicious anemia as a "quasi-diagnosis", sowing doubt on the ongoing medical care recieved by my family - without any evidence to do so. He initially refused to read any of the medical history supplied to him, and spent the entire call telling me how much of a disaster it is to self-medicate an ongoing potential autoimune disease without once asking me about my symptoms, or why I had begun to self inejct with B12, instead telling me to stop despite this self-medicating having massive improvement of life (depression, fatigue, tremors, numb/tingling in digits). The entire call felt like a patronising session in telling me not to self medicate, despite that being the entire purpose of the call, I was seeking medical help to get a diagnosis so that I dont have to manage the symptoms alone. His demenor was dismissive, patronising, and dangerous - he outright refused to look at the provided genetic results that show I have multiple genetic markers for b12 and folate deficiency which is why I was self medicating. But instead of looking at the history, he sowed doubt into the diagnosis of my relatives (Sister, Mother, Great-Grandmother) and completely ignored the requests for more tests such as Intrinsic Factor, homocysteine, Active B12, MMA or a variety of other diagnostic tools which could help confirm or disprove the possible diagnosis of b12 deficiciency. Given the medical history which left me feeling completey inhuman without b12 supplementation, it felt very callous and dismissive to instruct me to cease all supplementation and medication for 3+ months before seeking further diagnostic testing. I was so furious after this call for days that I seriously considered cancelling my Duality membership. I have rarely experienced such a terrible bedside manner and I was left with such a terrible impression I really am no longer sure whether Duality Healthcare is a service I want to support. I have monthly calls with another doctor and her bedside manner and feedback has been instrumental in my weightloss on mounjaro and treating gout and other issues, if the experience with other doctors (both in Omagh and Newry) weren't as positive and reassuring then I would most certainly have cancelled. As it stands, I'm still in two minds.

Dr Niki has been brilliant from the moment I met her, I felt seen and heard and taken seriously. She asked me detailed questions about my periods, changes, mood, and experiences and asked me about my medical history. She explained what perimenopause is and how it can present differently in different women at different ages. My experiences meant that I could have been suffering from anxiety due to a range of external factors but Dr Nikki encouraged me and suggested my symptoms could be due to hormone changes and so started me on low level Hrt. It honestly made such a difference to me. Even within days I felt a calm I hadn’t been able to access for over 9months and this calmness and feeling ‘myself’ again only increased over the coming weeks as I continued with hrt. Family, friends and colleagues have all commented on how I seem happier, calmer and able to fully function again.

I’ve been struggling with dry eyes for over a year and honestly didn’t know what to do or where to turn. Finding the Dry Eye Centre has been such a relief! Mamta Trivedi is amazing, so knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. She took the time to explain all the treatment options and put together a plan that’s really working for me. I’ve already noticed a big improvement and finally feel hopeful again. The machinery and technology they have is out of this world, it’s incredible to see how advanced the treatments are! Jo-Anna at reception is also lovely always so welcoming, friendly, and organised. I can’t recommend the Dry Eye Centre enough. The combination of expert care, cutting-edge technology, and genuine kindness from both Mamta and Jo-Anna makes such a difference.

I have been seeing Tania Adib for help with menopause symptoms. I’d been on HRT a while be felt that I was getting symptoms again, most annoyingly a dry vagina and loss of libido. Tania took a detailed history and blood tests. As a result she adjusted my HRT prescription and added in a bespoke testosterone cream. Both have made a big difference and I feel more balanced and energised. I’m also have laser treatment for the dryness and after one treatment can already feel the improvement. I would highly recommend Tania Adib for help with menopause and finding a combination or treatments that work specifically for you. She is friendly, clear and very professional. Everything is explained in easy to understand terms and she is not pushy about anything.

I had a consultation with Dr Hlaing today and making this appointment was the best decision I have made. Dr Hlaing was wonderful. She listened to me and provided me with excellent advice and a plan. She is clearly very knowledgeable in her field but more than that she listened to all my symptoms and had a Good understanding of how I felt which helped me very much. She was very empathetic and I honestly feel like for the first time someone is helping me.

My recent visit to Optegra Eye Hospital Manchester for lens replacement surgery was excellent. There was no waiting time and all the Staff were extremely helpful and reassuring to help me stay calm prior to my operation. Post operation the Staff gave me all the eye drops needed and detailed instructions on how to proceed over the coming weeks. I was also given all contact numbers in case I had any questions or worries.

The treatment received at Spire hospital was excellent. The booking procedure however was not. Booking via Vitality led to my details not being set up and me having to call a central call centre (which did not have a clue) to arrange follow up treatments. I actually raised a separate complaint about this as the process was clearly not working as well as it should which is a shame as the hospital itself is good.
