Dr Mark Davies is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, practising Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. He completed his cardiology training in the Oxford Deanery in 2021, followed by a post-CCT Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under Professor Kalyanam Shivkumar. During this fellowship, he gained extensive experience in complex ventricular tachycardia (VT) management, including novel mapping techniques, hybrid surgical VT ablation and autonomic modulation therapy, as well as advanced device implantation.
Before entering medicine, Dr Davies trained as a Biochemist and completed a PhD under the supervision of Professor David Lomas, focusing on cellular signalling and protein misfolding in health and disease. His scientific background has underpinned his development as a clinician-scientist, with expertise in molecular cell biology, stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes and optogenetic control in inherited channelopathies and cardiomyopathies.
His current research interests include mechanistic insights into arrhythmia, personalised approaches to risk stratification, and the use of machine learning to inform clinical workflows in the management of complex patients.
Dr Davies bridges clinical care and academic research, contributing to the development of innovative techniques in cardiac electrophysiology while delivering specialist care for patients with arrhythmia.

From the time of stepping into Reception and of leaving the whole event was brilliantly performed. My ablation experience was carried out as a team event to above my expectations !

Thank you for your very kind comments. I will make sure to pass on your regards to the team.
Quick, efficient, professional

Thank you for your kind comments. Glad all went well.
Dr Davies saw me at very late notice and that meant alot to me as I really needed to discuss a medical condition and he explained the terminology and prospects in a calm manner.

Thank you for your kind comments. Super happy to help
He put me totally at ease and spoke in such away that I understood every detail of the procedure.

Thank you very much for your review and much appreciated feedback.
After my atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis, I booked an appointment with Dr Davies at the Park Hospital. He explained the treatment options: medication, a cardioversion (an electrical reset of the heart), or an ablation. His manner and experience are second to none. He helped me understand the options and I decided upon the RF ablation using the new state of the art facility at the Park. Dr Davies and his brilliant team carried out the procedure and the ITU aftercare team were equally impressive. I’m very pleased to say it went well and heart is now back in normal sinus rhythm, and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Davies and everyone at the Park Hospital.

Thank you for your kind review and it was a pleasure and privilege to help you in your health journey.
Understood and grasped my personal concerns. Provided solutions to the underining problem. Schedule a line of treatment focused on the cause rather than just the symptoms.

Many thanks and I hugely appreciate your kind feedback.
