I am writing to share my experience with my MRI appointment last Friday. Unfortunately, it was not a smooth or positive experience. The day before my appointment, someone called to delay my scheduled time by 45 minutes. However, I was unwell and resting, so I missed the call. There was no text message or email notification, which meant I did not receive any confirmation of this change. On the day of the scan, I left home according to my original appointment time and was already on the train when I finally received a call informing me about the delay. To avoid wasting time, I arranged something else to do during that 45-minute gap. However, while I was in the middle of that task, I received another call saying that my original slot was now available and asking me to come immediately. This constant back-and-forth was very frustrating. I have my own schedule and time management, I cannot simply drop everything whenever the center calls. When I finally arrived at the center at the new delayed time, I found that the entrance was difficult to locate and once I reached reception, I still had to wait before being called in. During the scan itself, everything felt very rushed. The moment the scan ended, before I even had a chance to sit up, I was told to “hurry up” and leave because they were busy. This was especially difficult for me as I was having the MRI due to a concussion. After the scan, I felt dizzy and unsteady. Instead of being given a moment to recover, I felt pressured to move immediately. I had to retreat to the changing room to rest for a while before I could leave safely. Overall, the lack of clear communication, last-minute changes and rushed handling left me feeling very disappointed. I hope this feedback can help improve your scheduling system and patient care so others do not go through the same stressful experience.

Last year I had the cataract in my right eye removed in Moorfields Private Eye Clinic. The consultant, Mr Vincenzo Maurino, was calm, professional and very kind. He immediately put me at ease. I felt strongly I could place complete trust in his care. Everything was explained clearly, and the whole process was handled with such skill and reassurance. A few months ago, when my optician told me that I needed the cataract removed in my left eye, I didn’t have any hesitation and booked an appointment with Mr Maurino at Moorfields. Once again, the care and professionalism were outstanding. Everyone on the staff was so good and helpful. The nurses were very kind, efficient and thoughtful. They even offered tea and biscuits afterwards (perhaps the best biscuits I’ve ever had)! Very soon after the surgery, my vision has improved so much that the world has become clearer. I am very grateful for the wonderful treatment I received.

Very professional friendly and explained everything. Was not a 5 min extraction as he had to cut out my deep roots and my rear root was holding on. Afterwards he was scraping cleaning bone cavitations for a long time before cleaning and using ozone to sterilise the debrided socket. Applying PRF, membrane and bone graft was quick. Unfortunately I'm not sure it has got all the infection though as today Saturday it's been getting worse and I smell the fecal smell from gum.. I will be calling 111 to ask for dental antibiotics if it gets worse. Dr Pitamber and his team were great, but I fear my failed root canal has festered undiscovered far too long. Root canals are not a good idea. My root cracked and festered for years making me ill. At least I'm feeling better energy wise, if still in pain. Hopefully my body will overcome the residual infection.

I had a really positive and pleasant experience with the radiographers. There were two of them and they were both very friendly, helpful, patient, careful, knowledgeable and extremely professional. I was very happy with their care. What I was not happy about was the service from the MRI/Scan receptionists, this is the second time I’ve done a scan and each time the receptionists were not friendly, they we’re extremely direct showing no empathy and welcoming presence. They seemed busy with the conversation they were having with each other so I have found on both occasions their service has been very poor. The first time I assumed it was a one off but after experiencing it for the second time I feel it’s necessary to provide the feedback so something can be done about it.

Dr Eleni Mavrides supported me through my entire pregnancy and delivery of my first baby via planned c-section. She truly cares about her patients, has a very warm nature and always had time to answer all my questions. We are extremely grateful for her expertise, kindness and support. Dr Mavrides went out of her way to ensure my pregnancy was as smooth as possible and alleviate all my concerns. She was superb during the delivery of my baby and made the entire experience so special for our family and better than we could have ever hoped for. Her postpartum care is also fantastic and she came to check in on my recovery every day. She is exceptional and I highly recommend Dr Mavrides.

After following the advice given, even within 24 hours, real progress/ improvements have been made. I am so, so glad I got in touch with this clinic. The lady I had an appointment with was so, so knowledgeable. She had the answers for everything which was such a relief after spending 3 months trying other nutrients and supplements and not getting anywhere. The stress of that was getting pretty unbearable , but now I have a clear path of recommendations to follow. I can’t stress how grateful I am. Things are finally looking up! Such a relief! The whole team have been so, so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend the clinic as a whole.

I recently went to see Mr Oakley for my follow up after a knee replacement. I was shown the before and after x rays of my knee, and we spoke of the new knee replacement and problems corrected on the outside of my knee. I was able to ask questions, particularly regarding the outer knee correction which is still causing some pain. Mr Oakley explained that it would take some time but should improve. I was told that I could be seen by Mr Oakley if I was having difficulties in the next year which was very reassuring. I will be seeing him for a year post op check up. Mr Oakley was friendly, helpful and professional and importantly made me feel I was in competent and safe hands.

I came in for a revision of my left hip I've had problems with infection around my hip and femur for a few years, mr Hussain spotted this as soon as I saw him and immediately came up with a surgical solution I didn't have to wait long to be admitted and for the surgery to take place my recovery has been nothing short of miraculous I feel amazing now the infection is being treated with strong antibiotics, Mr Hussain is a magician the way he knew straight away what needed doing and had the skills to perform the operation so well, I will be forever grateful to him for what he has done for me.

Mr Bhat is delightful and very caring I am very impressed with him as Urology Consultant and his whole team Two possible improvements: 1. I was not aware I had a timed appointment …although I arrived half an hour after the 8.45 slot that I’d been allocated…because of the atrocious traffic on my south bound drive into Hereford 2. I was not aware (I should have asked) that I would be at the Urology clinic for what was 4 hours…it would have been nice to be pre warned I still consider the whole experience to be excellent Thank you very much 😃

Dr Farrah's team were amazing from start to finish with helping me to schedule my appointments and with helping me with my insurance company queries.
