I came to Dr. Raj Amarnani for a foot injury (1st MTPJ), and from the outset I was impressed by his professionalism, positive attitude, and level of care. He took the time to walk me through his thinking step by step, making it easy to understand my injury and symptoms. When discussing next steps and my treatment plan, he was highly considerate of my personal circumstances and worked with me to find an approach that suited me best. His bedside manner truly sets him apart - he is kind, thoughtful, and thorough, and you never feel rushed or discouraged from asking questions. His clinic letters are detailed and reflect even the smaller points discussed, which I really appreciate. Dr Raj is amazing, really clear and helpful with his advice and support provided throughout both visits
I can honestly say that my experience with Dr Raj was amazing from start to finish. He delivered a comprehensive and thorough examination on my shoulder and explained what injuries I had in a way that I could fully understand. His subsequent written report was extremely detailed and I could tell that he made a lot of effort. If I have another injury in the future, I will 100% use him and as a personal trainer myself, I will recommend my clients see him.

Super helpful but feel it could've been done over the phone

Thank you so much for the lovely review, I’m really glad the consultation was helpful. I completely understand your point and sometimes a telephone appointment can absolutely be enough. Whenever possible I do like to see patients in person so we can go through results together properly and make sure nothing important is missed, but I would of course be very happy to arrange virtual follow-ups in the future. Thank you again, Dr Raj Amarnani

Sleep is an important part of an athlete’s health and overall functional performance. Recently, this emphasis has grown, with some teams hiring sleep coaches to optimise this as best as possible. This has meant that more emphasis is being put on the quality and quantity of sleep for athletes and how it can affect performance in recent times, with previous studies only focused on nutrition and exercise.

Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory condition predominantly affecting the axial skeleton, with characteristic features including inflammatory back pain, stiffness, fatigue and reduced quality of life.1 The condition typically manifests in early adulthood, significantly impacting patients’ physical function, occupational productivity and mental health.1 Despite advances in pharmacological management, particularly with biologic therapies, a non-pharmacological pillar of care, physical activity, remains insufficiently used.2 Further, there is no current consensus as to whether general physical activity recommendations in axSpA are any different to that of the general population.
