Selene Cavallaro sees physiotherapy as a mission to help people regain their quality of life, reduce pain, and recover from injuries without having to give up the activities they love. Her passion stems from personal experience; after being forced to stop playing inline hockey due to poor physiotherapy treatment, she was inspired to dedicate her career to providing the very best evidence-based care.
Selene graduated as a physiotherapist in Italy in 2011, where she practised for almost seven years before moving to the UK. Her professional journey has spanned both the NHS and private sector, giving her a wealth of experience across a broad range of specialities including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, amputee and post-operative recovery, stroke rehabilitation, paediatrics, and medico-legal cases.
Working in two different healthcare systems has given Selene valuable insight into the strengths and challenges of both, allowing her to blend the best of Italian and British physiotherapy practices.
Alongside her clinical work, Selene has pursued extensive specialist training, including ultrasound diagnostic imaging, neural mobilisation, Bobath concept, fascia manipulation (Stecco Method), Sharma Method for lower back treatment, and yoga teacher training. She is fully registered with both the HCPC and CSP.

Very impressed with Selene's knowledge and diagnostic approach which identified an issue through a structured process of questioning, listening and exploration.
The two appointments I had were very useful in determining the problem. The ultrasound scan provided me with a good understanding of the muscles/tendons involved. The clinic needs to make it possible to reply to emails from the clinic. These emails are sent from a noreply mailbox (noreply@nookal.com) and therefore responses or further questions/contact is not possible.
Very thorough approach to my condition over 10 sessions. Years of neck medical issues solved in a couple of months. The degree of concern and dedication to provide solutions was unexpected and very welcome.
Going back to Selene when I first felt that I had a problem with my other shoulder was definitely the right thing to do and the help and support she gave my was invaluable from the first initial consultation and preventive therapy until I received treatment and then afterwards to recovery was second to none. Selene is a fantastic physiotherapist who was friendly, extremely efficient in what she does and was invaluable to my recovery. Not only that she did this with making you feel at ease and kept you informed and explained the exercises and left me with clear instructions on how to go about them at home. Thank you very much Selene it was a great pleasure working with you and the only bad thing is that I do not get to see you know the shoulder is recovered. I will miss our sessions.
Selene is a great therapist, she is great at explaining what she is doing and why.
