I am writing to share my experience with my MRI appointment last Friday. Unfortunately, it was not a smooth or positive experience. The day before my appointment, someone called to delay my scheduled time by 45 minutes. However, I was unwell and resting, so I missed the call. There was no text message or email notification, which meant I did not receive any confirmation of this change. On the day of the scan, I left home according to my original appointment time and was already on the train when I finally received a call informing me about the delay. To avoid wasting time, I arranged something else to do during that 45-minute gap. However, while I was in the middle of that task, I received another call saying that my original slot was now available and asking me to come immediately. This constant back-and-forth was very frustrating. I have my own schedule and time management, I cannot simply drop everything whenever the center calls. When I finally arrived at the center at the new delayed time, I found that the entrance was difficult to locate and once I reached reception, I still had to wait before being called in. During the scan itself, everything felt very rushed. The moment the scan ended, before I even had a chance to sit up, I was told to “hurry up” and leave because they were busy. This was especially difficult for me as I was having the MRI due to a concussion. After the scan, I felt dizzy and unsteady. Instead of being given a moment to recover, I felt pressured to move immediately. I had to retreat to the changing room to rest for a while before I could leave safely. Overall, the lack of clear communication, last-minute changes and rushed handling left me feeling very disappointed. I hope this feedback can help improve your scheduling system and patient care so others do not go through the same stressful experience.

We are so glad our paths crossed and we could not have asked for a more wonderful person to accompany and guide us on the journey of pregnancy and the birth of our first baby. Her kindness and warmth put us at ease from the first time we met and each subsequent meeting felt a bit like getting together with an old friend - albeit an incredibly professional and knowledgeable one, at the top of her game. We are in awe of how Shalini has the strength and energy to so serenely navigate the many professional roles she holds, whilst still being so present and down to earth, taking time and care to answer every single question we had, during our in person meetings or via WhatsApp at all hours of the day. I had quite early on started to consider an elective c-section, a decision that I subsequently went back and forth on as the months went by but ultimately settled on, mostly to avoid being induced at 39 weeks due to my age. Shalini took a lot of time talking us through the risks and benefits of both a vaginal and abdominal birth and when the day came I felt so safe and well taken care of, knowing I was in the best possible hands to ensure a safe delivery for myself and my baby. The birth didn’t feel clinical or scary, the whole experience was so calm and serene. Almost 4 weeks later I am recovering really well and regaining my strength. One of our midwives said my scar was the neatest she had seen in a long time. We are full of gratitude to Shalini that the birth of our daughter is a day we will forever remember to be such a beautiful one, that got us off to the best possible start on the incredible journey that is parenthood.

I can’t believe I have been sent a message asking how my appointment went and asking to rate my experience I attended my appointment to have my procedure done, the doctor went through details that had already been disgusted and proceeded to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to get the arranged procedure done as she was leaving and from a professional point of view she could not do it as she would not be there for my follow up appointment. So I’m still wondering where the professionalism was when no one contacted me to inform me of this only to be turned away after I drove an hours journey to get to my oppointment and an hour home again. A simple phone call would have been professional. This was not that the doctor was off sick or something last minute, she was leaving and was very blasé about it. Absolutely no professionalism here at all

Dr Evans came highly recommended when doing research on finding a practice for a private ADHD assessment for our 9 year old. From our first appointment through to our feedback session Dr Evans was very welcoming, made our 9 year old feel at ease in clinic, operated with absolute professionalism and communicated well with us at each stage. After a very long wait on a waiting list with the NHS that was going no where, Dr Evans has given us the light at the end of a very long tunnel and I will be forever thankful for finding her. Our new chapter is only just beginning and Dr Evans has explained in detail next steps and will continue to be part of this process until eventually the NHS take over.

Dr Farrah's team were amazing from start to finish with helping me to schedule my appointments and with helping me with my insurance company queries. I would highly recommend King Edward VII's hospital to anyone! After being bashed around the NHS, i decided to go private and felt like I got the absolute best care at this hospital. Everyone in the team was so friendly, professional and quick to respond. I felt thoroughly looked after throughout my outpatients and inpatients. I stayed a total of 3 days/3 nights at this hospital and I wasn't desperate to leave. The food is top quality and the team have been highly trained. I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

I attended the Centre to have a procedure to remove a cataract. The staff were so friendly and efficient,I was immediately put at ease. The procedure was carried out and I was taken to the recovery room to have a cup of tea ,followed by an explanation of use of eye drops. The receptionist also contacted my nephew who was coming to collect me. I had a follow-up call the next day. Thank you to everyone who looked after me.
