Throughout the process he was genuinely caring, which made me feel completely at ease, even during what is usually a very uncomfortable procedure (colonoscopy). I have been receiving acupuncture treatment to help control my high blood pressure for about three months. I have been very pleased with the effectiveness. The very first treatment reduced my diastolic BP by 7 points. Monitoring my BP daily shows it is reduced to a very acceptable level, the systolic has lowered as well and overall the readings are steady. This has meant I have been able to reduce the amount of medication I have to take. For me having acupuncture every three weeks to maintain the lower BP is a far preferable option to taking lots of medicines. Katie is calm and professional. Her treatment room is a light and airy sanctuary in which to be treated. I strongly recommend her services.

We were so impressed with the hospital. It was modern, clean, and we were welcomed so warmly by a nurse called Helen who somehow knew who we were and offered us a hot drink and clearly explained how the process of the appointment and procedure would look like. We were then taken to the room where Dr Shah and a second nurse called Yvonne welcomed us and Dr Shah explained clearly the assessment, the procedure, and dealt with us and and our newborn son with care and attention. The aftercare was also wonderful and we were given time and space to ensure our son had recovered before we left. Cannot recommend One Hospital and Dr Shah enough.

After almost 8 years of pain and being sent away with no answers by the NHS during an MRI for an unrelated Orthopaedic matter it was finally revealed that I had a Spigelian hernia. Sadly, Id lost trust in the NHS so sought a surgeon I felt I could trust and Mr Lake did not fail me once. I was reassured, I felt validated and most importantly I felt that I was in safe hands. I owe Mr Lake more than just my health, he's also gone a long way to helping me repair the trauma that this problem has caused me for so long and for that he has my sincere thanks.

Thursday afternoon visit, the surgery did not adjust to be that busy, arrived before my appointment time but still had to wait till after my scheduled time before being seen. Cat was blocked in when I be wanted to leave and I requested for the owner to move their vehicle as I had other engagements scheduled. No sense of urgency amongst the staff it appreciation that my time is as valuable as theirs. Managed to manoeuvre my car out whilst waiting so impact was not as bad as if I had waited for the other to move their vehicle but it was irritating.
