I wanted to share my experience with Mr Gan in the hope it helps other women who may be facing complex gynaecological surgery, including hysterectomy, or living with severe endometriosis. From the very first consultation, Mr Gan was calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely reassuring. He took the time to listen properly, never rushed my questions, and explained everything clearly and honestly — including the complexity of my condition, the reasons a hysterectomy was recommended, and what surgery would realistically involve. I always felt heard and respected, which is so important when you’re already feeling anxious and vulnerable. I underwent extensive surgery under Mr Gan’s care, including excision of deep infiltrating endometriosis and a hysterectomy. Throughout the entire process he demonstrated outstanding professionalism and expertise. He was thorough, confident, and clearly highly experienced in managing complex endometriosis cases and major gynaecological surgery. Mr Gan combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion — something that makes a huge difference to patient wellbeing. Dr Anderco was v Professional , empathetic and respectful of my elderly retired status as a medical colleague usually difficult patients! the consultation was skilled and she discussed my symptoms , worries past history in an unprejudiced manner as I was using medical jargon! and my opinion was also taken into consideration the next step was discussed and explained and after seeking my consent, Nasal endoscopy was carried out with care and in an experienced manner and with due regard for my comfort . I was a patient at the EDU. I am so so thankful for the care I received. Most of the nursing staff and HCAs were nothing short of phenomenal. At times the staff were however rude and a culture of bullying from staff was present. However this was a minority of the time. When reported and when feedback was given, it was often ignored. Staff was often sourced from the agency who had little understanding of eating disorders or how to treat patients. The food options and quality was dreadful. Overall, the nurses were so so caring and kind and the dietician and consultant were amazing!

Pretty straightforward experience overall. The receptionist on the first floor (the Somali lady wearing a hijab) was extremely kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and I asked if there was any chance of a charger- she went out of her way to help me, which I really appreciated. It’s the small things like that which leave a lasting impression, and that’s exactly why I wanted to leave this review. The only small suggestion I’d make is having oat milk available at the coffee machine for those who don’t have dairy, it would be a thoughtful and considerate touch.

I found cathedral eye clinic a very warm and welcoming practice, its staff were friendly and attentive, the specialist (Gillian ) that dealt with me kept me kept me well informed of the process throughout the eye exam which did put me at ease. Sadly for me my eyes are not suitable for the procedure required, this proved to me that it is not all about pounds shillings and pence with them. Hopefully down the line they can come up with another procedure that will suit me. I would have no hesitation in recommending cathedral eye clinic.
