I was diagnosed with bile duct cancer at my local hospital Broomfield, I was referred to the Royal Free Hospital under Mr David Nasralla on 11/09/2025. I saw Mr Nasralla in clinic. He explained my diagnosis in simple terms that I was able to understand along with simplified drawings. He agreed that I was a candidate for surgery and this was booked for the 29/09/2025, before I left clinic. My recovery and each step of my recovery was explained. I was contacted by the HBP team several times leading up to my operation which was such relief as all my questions were answered as they came along. I was admitted to hospital on 29/09/2025, where Mr Nasralla saw me to confirm that I still wanted to proceed with the operation. I awoke from my operation in ITU, Mr Nasralla come to see me and my partner to explain my procedure and to oversee my treatment. Mr Nasralla was understanding, very thorough and completely supportive to my care plan. During my stay in the Royal Free Hospital under Mr Nasralla he came to see me several times and his team who came on the ward rounds were also in contact with him. I cannot speak highly enough of the treatment and support I was given by Mr David Nasralla and his team. My treatment has been outstanding both while in hospital and during the last four weeks at home. Mr Nasralla has followed up on my recovery and care plan with total commitment to my recovery. There have been times when I have been worried and unsure, I have been met with total understanding and compassion, with clear empathy. I can say I completely trust Mr Nasralla and his team, who went beyond patient care. I would like to thank Mr Nasralla and his amazing team, which includes the CNS nurses and all the staff who smoothly booked my appointments. My last appointment with Mr Nasralla was on 06/11/2025, his approach to my next step to recovery was explained in full and in terms I understood. Mr Nasralla gave me the email address of his team should I need to contact them. I cannot explain how this has helped me, to know that they are still there should I need to reach out to them. There are not enough praises to reflect the outstanding care and support I have received. I am eternally grateful to Mr Nasralla & his team, without whom I would not be able to write this review.

He has taught and trained many of the ENT consultants currently practicing in London, and his expertise, precision, and judgement are truly exceptional. I trust him 100% with every piece of advice and every decision regarding my child’s care. He recently performed a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and grommet insertion for my son, and the experience could not have been better. The surgery was perfectly executed, and the recovery went smoothly thanks to his outstanding skill and attention to detail. Another remarkable aspect of being under Mr. Hartley’s care is the exceptional support provided by his assistants. They are highly capable, attentive, and responsive — always available to help, even without an appointment. On several occasions, they went above and beyond to ensure they could help with anything urgent we needed. They’ve done so much to ensure everything was in place for my son’s surgery, and I truly believe it couldn’t have happened at all without them. I am deeply thankful to Mr. Hartley and his incredible team for their professionalism, care, and compassion. The staff were lovely, so kind and understanding which has been thoroughly appreciated. However, some frustration noted around wait times. While it is appreciated that diagnostics are a lengthy process and take time, I found issues where my assessments were delayed due to Skylight not having all the information from the forms I had already completed, and after submitting my forms I was not told that all of the information had not been received until I reached out and chased my application due to the time frames I was given being overdue. To improve this experience, more communication on what has and hasn’t been received would improve the experience and shorten some people’s wait times, as my wait time was partially increased due to lack of communication over forms I had or hadn’t filled in.

I had a number of appointments to see Mr Warr at the Nuffield, and it was always administered well and on time. On the day of the surgery there was initially some confusion on which hospital room I was assigned to but that was cleared up fairly quickly - it was 7am so perhaps a beginning of shift handover issue. The nurses were caring, professional, attentive and very friendly before and after the operation. The anaesthetist visited and was very clear explaining the process, friendly and reassuring. A very good experience. I also appreciated that my parents could be with me before the operation as I'm quite young and not used to being in hospital. Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

Great service. Quick and efficient. The website doesn’t work that well on mobile but I was able to use the WhatsApp method and that was fine. Weirdly that prompted a call whereas by initiating communication via WhatsApp it was odd to get a call. I was struggling to hear clearly which is why I sent the WhatsApp. I’d imagine that I’m not unique in this 🤪. Not a complaint. Just worth noting. One other idea: has anyone asked to be able to watch what is being done on a screen? I personally would have enjoyed being able to do this. Don’t judge me!!! But if you made that available and publicised it, I reckon it could be a differentiator. Thanks for an efficient and thorough service x

I was very apprehensive about getting both of my eyes done at the same time. I cant believe how easy and painless it was ,all of the staff were amazing in looking after me and putting me at ease. Having 24 hr support was amazing ,my concerns were addressed quickly . If only everything was as easy as this ,within 3 days i could see perfectly ,i never realised how much of a difference it would make . From my consultant ,nursing staff, opthamologists, domestic staff and receptionist they went above and beyond in their care. Nothing was too much bother. Dont hesitate to go ,you will be amazed .

I had an injury last year on my left calf alongside recurring main in my right foot so wanted to get them checked. Dr Lord effectively assessed my calf, showed a very small tear, and then looked at my feet and told me there’s minor thickening in one of the tendons, which wouldn’t require any intervention but recommended physio for both including some effective stretching. Now I’ve got my report I can give to my physio and monitor it more effectively ACTUALLY knowing what’s wrong.

I needed my bloods reviewed at three months on T. I needed to prompt PIH to set the process off, which was fine but unfortunately my blood results weren't straight forward so needed more time to get reviewed and get things sorted out before my script could be issued. PIH did pull out the stops and got everything sorted in time, so I am grateful. They now have provided a helpful flow chart so I know what to expect at each milestone. All good.

Overall my first appointment at Spire Lea hospital was a satisfactory experience. At the reception I was quickly registered as an insurance patient. The waiting time was not very long. The duration of the appointment was long enough to cover all my questions, explain my problem and get a gynaecology examination by the doctor with help of a female assistant. The doctor explained to me a treatment to follow to alleviate my symptoms.
