20/10 I was recommended to Dr Alek by multiple friends, including one who is a doctor herself and trained under him. He came highly, highly recommended and is known as the best in the business — and I can completely understand why. From the moment I walked into the practice, I was warmly greeted by Sam, the practice administrator. She was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. Thank you, Sam! I’ve seen many aesthetic doctors and practitioners before, and Dr Alek is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Previously, consultations felt rushed — numbing cream applied, a quick question about what I wanted, and straight into the procedure. With Dr Alek, it was completely different. We began with a thorough consultation where we discussed my concerns, the procedures I was interested in, and everything I’ve previously had done — including where, when, and any medications I’m on. He then did a full facial assessment, looking at proportions, symmetry, and structure. He carefully felt for any existing filler or lumps, explained what they were, and clearly walked me through what we can and can’t do moving forward. Everything was explained in a way that was detailed yet easy to understand. We created a thoughtful plan of action together, and what stood out most was that he never once tried to “sell” me on anything — something I’ve experienced with every other practitioner before. It’s immediately clear that he truly cares about his patients, has an incredible passion for what he does, and an exceptional eye for detail. He really knows his craft. Today we did Botox, and it was genuinely pain-free. He is precise, intentional, and incredibly gentle. As soon as I left, I couldn’t wait to call my husband and tell him how amazing the experience was. I’ve now officially joined my group of friends who cannot recommend Dr Alek highly enough. There was a lot of confusion in regards to my follow up appointment post surgery. An appointment was booked and agreed for Monday morning, another appointment was booked for the afternoon in addition to the morning appointment, which I tried to rearrange for the following day and recieved confirmation, that appointment I found out later had not been booked and one was made for the following week, and I had called to confirm the appointment for Monday morning too. I found out later that the Monday morning appointment was cancelled but I was not told this until I arrived for the appointment early. Gill at reception was extremely helpful and was immediately on the case to help me as this was a wound check appointment. She spoke to Nikki and Bev and I was able to be seen very quickly. I appreciated all the help I was given by Gill and she helped me create my next appointment for 6 weeks time and navigate the situation well. The appointment itself was informative and very good. I believe there was a mix up with the lists for the day and it seemed to be that everyone just got confused with what appointments for me were needed to be rearranged/ cancelled. Everything was resolved quickly and calmly, and I thank everyone for their help in resolving this.

All of the staff at Nuthfield were so kind. Everyone was always smiling and being happy and kind to myself and my partner. From the receptionist who told us where to go and took us to our room. To the night nurse that checked us in to the room. I had multiple nurses come and check on me throughout the time I waited to have the cystoscopy. We were able to get food before and after. We arrived at 07:00 on the 27th, and I can't remember all the lovely people's names who helped us. My only slight criticism would be from arriving at the hospital at 07:00 the actual procedure didn't start till after 09:00 and this gave me lots of time to overthink the procedure. But I think that was a me problem and I also don't know how long these things take to check people in etc. So apologies if it is standard haha.

I first saw Mr. McKay over three years ago for a disc issue that was causing significant sciatic symptoms, at which time I received a spinal injection. More recently, I returned to see him regarding a (suspected) cervical neck issue as well as ongoing back pain. On every occasion, Mr. McKay has been extremely professional and has taken the time to explain everything very clearly and thoroughly. He makes complex issues easy to understand, which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with spinal problems. I’ve always felt listened to and never rushed. It’s rare to find a specialist you can genuinely trust, and Mr. McKay is certainly one of them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking expert and compassionate spinal care.

I chose Dr Mahida for my atrial fibrillation ablation for 2 main reasons. 1. He does high volume work and 2. He has excellent patient reviews. As it turned out, it was a superb choice. Professor Sanderson is a very kind and enterprising man. Other doctors have either had little ideas or will to treat me. In contrast, Professor Sanderson has never given up trying to help me.
