I can’t believe I have been sent a message asking how my appointment went and asking to rate my experience I attended my appointment to have my procedure done, the doctor went through details that had already been disgusted and proceeded to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to get the arranged procedure done as she was leaving and from a professional point of view she could not do it as she would not be there for my follow up appointment. So I’m still wondering where the professionalism was when no one contacted me to inform me of this only to be turned away after I drove an hours journey to get to my oppointment and an hour home again. A simple phone call would have been professional. This was not that the doctor was off sick or something last minute, she was leaving and was very blasé about it. Absolutely no professionalism here at all

I chose to see Dr Jayaseelan having read her biography on the BUPA app. From the moment we met and Dr Dipa introduced herself, I felt completely relaxed and happy to be in her care. We discussed how the condition had developed, the requirements that I had in terms of her opinion as to my fitness to return to work and ongoing treatment and medication. Throughout the consultation, absolutely everything was explained clearly and in plain language. I really can’t tell you how professional the whole experience was and I left the hospital in no doubt whatsoever that I was in excellent hands. Finally, just over an hour later, I received a written report of the consultation plus a letter that I’d requested for employment purposes.

I have only had an initial interaction with one of the doctors at the female health doctor MK, so far I've fiubd the service to be very quick with a variation of cost affective options for the first conversation. I personally have been met with finally feeling heard from a professional in the medical field after a year and a half of constant GP appointments and being on referral waiting list for over a year. I have been advised about a test package to help me further with my specific issues, and have had nothing short of polite communication and quick responses. I would so far 100% recommend any female to reach out to this company for help with their health.

Mr Read was recommended to me and straight away I felt very comfortable with his manner during the Consultation. He suggested I should have an X-ray and saw me again straight away afterwards with the results. I realised I would need surgery to remove the growths I have on one finger of my left hand, but having explained fully the options for my right hand, he didn't try to persuade me to have surgery and we agreed I'll manage that issue without surgery. Mr Read also gave me three options as to where he can undertake the surgery to suit my convenience. I'm very happy with the advice and care I received.

My experience during the assessment was great - very friendly and approachable assessor, allowing me to build a rapport and discuss sensitive topics. However, the process leading up to the assessment with multiple forms was difficult. The team did not know what forms were awaiting completion, and when I contacted them months after, they realised and booked my appointment. There needs to be more checks on people waiting for assessment to ensure forms are completed and actioned in a timely manner.

We were anxious about our daughter Abigail going under anaesthetic but put completely at ease by the friendly and professional team. Mr Moor gave a detailed description of the procedure and we particularly liked that our daughter was given the choice of IV or gas administration of anaesthesia. Nurse Jen provided exceptional care and was kind and compassionate throughout. Aftercare advice on discharge was very thorough. The ward was spotlessly clean and food very good.

The care at the Portland was beyond what I was expecting from the experience. Not only did they care for me, they also made sure my husband was looked after too. My only issue was actually trying to book in with the Portland - it wasn’t clear what the process was and a few of the booking staff at the were rude when I was asking questions. In the end it was my consultant that was able to support me through this.
