This review is not based on a single bad day or one isolated misunderstanding. Unfortunately, it reflects a long series of stressful experiences I have had with this clinic over multiple appointments during the past year. What makes this particularly upsetting is that the final situation arose from what should have been a very simple appointment related to an agreed vaccination schedule. Instead, the experience became extremely uncomfortable and distressing. Despite having written confirmation about the nature of the appointment, the service requested, and the related costs, I still found myself being asked to pay additional charges that had never been agreed beforehand. I was placed in the difficult position of having to defend the fact that I had written evidence confirming what had originally been arranged and authorised, and that nothing more had been requested by me. No patient should feel pressured into having to argue for clarity and fairness during a healthcare appointment. As a patient, I repeatedly tried to address concerns politely and proactively in writing, asking for transparency regarding costs, appointment structure, and insurance processes. Despite this, the same issues continued to happen. The final interaction left me honestly shocked. Being asked to proceed with a consultation charge because a new consultant needed to review my existing medical history after my previous doctor left the clinic felt completely unreasonable. What troubled me most is thinking about how vulnerable another patient could have felt in the same situation. What if I had been younger, less confident, less experienced in challenging administrative inconsistencies, or simply older and not strong enough to defend myself in that moment? Healthcare should make patients feel safe, supported, and clearly informed. Sadly, my experience increasingly felt focused on billing and administrative justification rather than patient care and transparency. What makes this even more disappointing is that I had genuinely trusted this clinic for a long time and had recommended it to friends and colleagues.

Since I had to cancel my original appointment for the hygienist because I had shingles,I was initially worried about my teeth, since the shingles had affected the nerve ending in my mouth and even brushing my teeth was a painful experience for the duration of the virus. However, I was really pleased with ny results, 1 s ansd 2 stars for my teeth. I had bought myself a power flosser which I have found to be extremely efficient in flushing out crumbs and other food residue between teeth. From there I use my electric toothbrush for the suggested two minutes, take the manual flossers and interdens brushes to clear any other bits stuck in my teeth before a final brush and application of gengigel as a preventative. It's a lengthier routine, but it has paid off dividends.

My initial consultation with Mr Arun following on from my colonoscopy clearly explained the proposed surgery, the risks and the range of outcomes. The surgery took place 25 days after the consultation and from my perspective was a complete success as the bowel resection did not require a stoma, And experienced very little pain and discomfort. The follow-up consultation revealed all the cancerous tissue had been removed and analysis of 30 lymph nodes didn’t reveal any evidence of spread making further treatment unnecessary at this time. I will now join the monitoring programme. I can only express my gratitude for all involved with the routine Bowel Cancer Screening service, and to all at Hereford Hospital Colorectal unit and Mr Arun in particular.

Rio continues to provide a thorough and efficient hygiene experience and I am particularly grateful to her for caring enough to encourage me last year to seek advice about a lesion on my head. The dentist had some unwelcome news about infection and a crown but he was very professional and I have utmost confidence in his advice. A plan has been agreed moving forward. This visit was particularly memorable due to some interaction with a young lad who was at the dentist for the first time. He was super pleased with his dinosaur sticker and Teddy Bear. A great example of the care and attention given to patients. I am also always invited to partake in a drink which is a nice touch.

Service was excellent! We booked an appointment late in the morning but the on duty Dr stayed after his session to see my husband because of his signs and symptoms. The test we needed were completed with consolation from the Dr on the ECG and blood test came back by Wednesday with a full report on findings. This saved us so much time and worry waiting for test to be completed by the NHS. The report was used over the next few days when visiting 111 and our own Dr which proved to be very helpful. Worth every penny. I'd like to thank all the staff at Stokenchurch, once again for such a great service.
