We couldn’t recommend Dr Duncan enough. From the first email all the way through to the delivery of our baby boy we knew straight away that we were in the right hands. Every scan was full of reassurance and professionalism and our questions were answered with 100% clarity. Having direct contact with Dr Duncan throughout my pregnancy was really beneficial to me and he would always answer straightaway no matter how big or small the question. We will definitely be contacting Dr Duncan again for any future pregnancies we hopefully have.

I had the best experience with Dr Duncan. As someone going through first pregnancy and birth for the first time, which can be both scary and overwhelming at times, I really needed that extra reassurance and support. Dr Duncan was always there to answer my questions, talk me through any concerns, and make me feel reassured and safe throughout the whole journey. His knowledge, patience, and supportive approach made what could have been a stressful experience feel so much easier and more enjoyable. He was always available when I needed him and would also check in, which made me feel very well looked after. I couldn’t recommend him more highly and will definitely be coming back!

Dr Duncan is the best of the best when it comes to obstetric care. His expertise, coupled with his calm and reassuring approach, gave me an enormous amount of confidence, particularly when I experienced complications during the second half of my pregnancy. I particularly appreciated that Dr Duncan personally carried out all of my scans and was so easily contactable with any questions or concerns between appointments, which I know is not the case with all obstetric consultants. Being able to text or call him at any time of day or night and receive immediate, clear and considered advice and reassurance was invaluable. It helped put me at ease during what were, at times, quite stressful periods of my pregnancy. Dr Duncan also went to great lengths to put together a delivery plan that was highly tailored to my medical needs. As a result, when the day of my caesarean section arrived, I felt completely reassured that I was in the safest possible hands with him and the team at The Portland. The procedure itself was carried out with the highest level of skill and care, and my recovery has been much swifter than I had anticipated. I cannot recommend Dr Duncan highly enough. I will genuinely miss having regular appointments with him, but very much hope to return for baby number two in the future! He is not only an exceptional obstetrician, but also a genuinely kind and caring person who is clearly invested in his patients and wants to ensure they have the best possible pregnancy and birth experience.

We have been seeing Dr Duncan since the start of the pregnancy, the birth of our child and after. He has been phenomenal - always incredibly professional but kind, and always available.

Dr Duncan was an exceptional consultant throughout the pregnancy and beyond. He is a kind and caring consultant and always easily contactable. Col his Secretary was also outstanding dealing with all the administration. We had a relatively complex pregnancy and throughout it Dr Duncan offered great advice and kept us calm throughout the process clearly demonstrating his incredible expertise and experience. There are no words that can truly express our gratitude to Dr. Duncan. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, he provided exceptional care, combining outstanding medical expertise with genuine kindness and compassion. Throughout a very high-risk pregnancy, he was always available, incredibly reassuring, and remarkably responsive whenever we needed him. When my placenta praevia suddenly started bleeding at 6 a.m., Dr. Duncan reacted immediately. His rapid assessment, calm leadership, and excellent clinical judgment led to the life-saving decision to deliver our baby without delay. I have no doubt that his actions saved both my life and my son’s. Dr. Duncan has an extraordinary ability to manage the most complex pregnancies. He knows exactly when to intervene, makes the right decisions at the right time, and inspires complete confidence. His judgment is second to none, and his technical skills are simply exceptional. My Caesarean section was performed with extraordinary precision, and my recovery exceeded all expectations. The scar is remarkably neat, the healing has been outstanding, and I could not have hoped for a better outcome. It is a testament to his remarkable surgical expertise. Beyond his incredible medical abilities, Dr. Duncan truly cares about his patients. He listens carefully, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel safe even in the most frightening moments. I cannot recommend Dr Duncan highly enough. He delivered both of my daughters, and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with my care. Throughout both pregnancies and c-sections, he was calm, reassuring, exceptionally knowledgeable, and always took the time to answer every question I had, no matter how small or silly. I always felt listened to, respected, and completely involved in every decision. Dr Duncan has a wonderful way of explaining things clearly, giving honest advice, and making you feel completely safe and cared for. His professionalism is outstanding, but what really sets him apart is his kindness and genuine compassion. I am incredibly grateful for the care he gave me and my family and will always look back on both births with immense gratitude because of him.

My experience with Dr Duncan has been excellent - he is attentive, accessible at any time and could provide reassurance and support whenever it was needed. Dr D is a no nonsense obstetrician - who always calmly dealt with our questions - and was available to answer anything on WhatsApp at all hours. He never made us feel like anything was stressful and for our planned c section he ensured we were armed with the plan to feel as in control as possible. He is the best and we will return!

Dr Duncan was great, very professional and clear in presenting information. The birth went extremely well and he was able to address my individual requirements and needs, with daily checkups as well. Overall very happy with outcome and safe delivery of my beautiful baby girl
