We were hugely grateful to have Dr Nicholas as part of our wonderful delivery team for an emergency c-section at the Portland. He is extremely professional, kind and calming, which really helped in what could have been a stressful situation and made me feel at ease. He introduced himself beforehand. explained everything he was doing in a clear way during the procedure and made me feel reassured that I was in safe hands. We also love the photos he took for us. Thank you again.

I had an elective c-section 4 weeks ago. He was very clear with instructions on what to do and how. Encouraged and calmed my husband and I through the process. Everything went smoothly with no complications, and as described beforehand. Also, he was kind enough to help take pictures/videos - we’ll forever be grateful for the memories captured 🙏🏼

Dr. Nicholas was nothing short of wonderful when I delivered my baby girl last year. He was present from the start and explained what he was doing in detail. His bedside manner is unmatched and his follow-up was also exceptional. Highly recommended if you're looking for someone to look after you while still having a little laugh in an otherwise life-changing moment.

I recently had a c section at the Portland hospital where dr Sotiris Nicholas was taking care of me and my husband, and it was a really good experience. He is an incredibly thoughtful and caring person, but also knowledgeable and professional. He made me feel calm and listened to, and he also made sure me and my husband got some memorable pictures from the birth. I can’t recommend him enough!

Dr Sotiris is no short of amazing. Having a c section was my worst case scenario. In the end, I needed one and was a nervous wreck! From the minute Dr Sotiris walked in the room and talked me through it I knew I was in good hands. It took a little longer to place my spinal as I was so scared and nervous (I even cried) but he never made me feel bad about it. He was so patient and he placed it perfectly in the end. My nerves didn’t stop there though. Even during the c section, I was not at ease but he kept engaging in conversation with my husband and I and he helped take beautiful pictures of our twins when they were born. I didn’t get to see them initially but he was describing everything they were doing with them which also helped calm me. His bedside manner is incredible and I appreciate him checking in on me after. He truly is one of the best healthcare professionals that I have had the pleasure of being treated by.

Dr Sotiris was my anesthetist for my C Section. He talked me through each step of the procedure and made me feel calm and at ease. He was a safe and trusted pair of hands at one of my most vulnerable moments. I cannot thank him enough for the compassion and support he showed me. If I ever have a third child he is the only anesthetist I would ever consider, and I would highly recommend him for both his medical excellence and calm and kind manner.

This was by far the most comfortable and supported anaesthetic experience I've had. Dr Nicholas led the regional anaesthesia for my elective cesarian for our son Quinn. He dealt with my surgery and pain anxiety with patience and open communication, which set my nerves at ease. I fully trusted him to make the anaesthesia as painless as possible. Unlike many other anaesthetists, he has a very warm and approachable way of engaging with patients, which provided me with a lot of comfort and reassurance. He also provided my husband with a lot of comfort, which made him relaxed in theatre. He also is an amazing photographer and captured some beautiful impressions of the special moment when our son was delivered.

My wife had a planned c-section. Dr Nicholas was, from the very outset, nothing short of phenomenal. Thank you!
