We had a very pleasant experience with Dr Sotiris. He was informative, had good bedside manner and kept us updated on everything throughout the procedure. He also took some excellent photos of our special moments!

Dr Sotiris Nicholas provided my anaesthesia for a C-section at the Portland Hospital and his care was exceptional. He was incredibly warm and reassuring, explaining everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The entire process was painless, calm, and far more relaxing than I could have imagined. He stayed with us throughout the C-section, and despite working closely with the obstetrician, he chatted to us the whole time, keeping us both calm and helping us truly enjoy the birth of our baby. He even went above and beyond by taking beautiful photographs of this incredibly special moment. We will always remember the role he played in our baby’s birth and could not recommend him more highly to anyone looking for the right anaesthetist to support them during a C-section.

I cannot recommend Dr Sotiris Nicholas highly enough. He was my Consultant Anaesthetist for both of my C-sections, providing epidural anaesthesia, and the experience was truly exceptional each time. We deliberately chose Dr Sotiris for both deliveries because of his incredible calm, professionalism, and reassuring presence. From the moment we met him, he made me feel completely at ease and confident about the procedure. His explanations were clear, thoughtful, and reassuring, which made a potentially stressful situation feel controlled and safe. The epidurals were administered perfectly, with no complications or side effects, and I felt extremely well cared for throughout. His bedside manner is outstanding—kind, composed, and deeply attentive—which made a significant difference to my overall birth experience. I am deeply grateful for his expertise and care, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Sotiris Nicholas to any patient seeking an anaesthetist who combines exceptional clinical skill with genuine compassion and professionalism.

Dr Sotiris was absolutely wonderful. I have slight complications that make the anaesthetic process more complicated (particularly fasting beforehand) and he could not have been more patient with all my questions, reassuring and just generally someone I felt I could completely trust with keeping me safe at a moment I felt extremely vulnerable.

We had a brilliant with Dr Nicholas for an elective c section at Portland. He is very caring, considerate and warm. He made me and husband feel very comfortable throughout the delivery, and I felt extremely confident in the care provided by him and Ms Bhatti in surgery, they made a great team. We highly recommend Dr Nicholas.

Really happy with the care Dr Nicholas provided. I felt instantly in safe hands and he explained everything very clearly, taking the time to answer all of my questions. I could not have felt more reassured or supported. I am very grateful for his calm, professional, and compassionate approach.

Dr Nicholas's anaesthetics and care were exceptional. It's difficult to imagine to be in better hands during a c-section. He was simply wonderful.
