Dr Nicholas was an excellent anaesthetist. He had a very calming demeanour and clearly explained the entire process and each step of my C-section throughout the surgery. We greatly appreciated his clear communication, which helped us feel informed, reassured, and at ease throughout.

Dr Sotiris was my anesthetist for the recent birth of my baby boy via C-section, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful that he was there. From the moment he met me, he took the time to explain exactly what I could expect before, during and after the procedure, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout the C-section, he kept me updated every step of the way and made sure I felt calm, reassured and completely looked after. As a first-time mum, looking back on the experience now, I can confidently say that a huge part of why I felt so calm throughout the delivery was because of him. It’s difficult to put into words what a difference it makes to have someone so reassuring and supportive by your side during such an important moment. He also captured some incredibly special moments of my baby boy being born, which I will treasure forever and am so grateful for. Thank you so much, Dr Sotiris, for making such an important day feel so calm and positive. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

We were hugely grateful to have Dr Nicholas as part of our wonderful delivery team for an emergency c-section at the Portland. He is extremely professional, kind and calming, which really helped in what could have been a stressful situation and made me feel at ease. He introduced himself beforehand. explained everything he was doing in a clear way during the procedure and made me feel reassured that I was in safe hands. We also love the photos he took for us. I had an elective c-section 4 weeks ago. He was very clear with instructions on what to do and how. Encouraged and calmed my husband and I through the process. Everything went smoothly with no complications, and as described beforehand. Also, he was kind enough to help take pictures/videos - we’ll forever be grateful for the memories captured 🙏🏼

Dr. Nicholas was nothing short of wonderful when I delivered my baby girl last year. He was present from the start and explained what he was doing in detail. His bedside manner is unmatched and his follow-up was also exceptional. I recently had a c section at the Portland hospital where dr Sotiris Nicholas was taking care of me and my husband, and it was a really good experience. He is an incredibly thoughtful and caring person, but also knowledgeable and professional. Dr Sotiris is no short of amazing. Having a c section was my worst case scenario. In the end, I needed one and was a nervous wreck! From the minute Dr Sotiris walked in the room and talked me through it I knew I was in good hands. It took a little longer to place my spinal as I was so scared and nervous (I even cried) but he never made me feel bad about it. He was so patient and he placed it perfectly in the end. My nerves didn’t stop there though. Even during the c section, I was not at ease but he kept engaging in conversation with my husband and I and he helped take beautiful pictures of our twins when they were born. I didn’t get to see them initially but he was describing everything they were doing with them which also helped calm me. His bedside manner is incredible and I appreciate him checking in on me after. He truly is one of the best healthcare professionals that I have had the pleasure of being treated by.

Dr Sotiris was my anesthetist for my C Section. He talked me through each step of the procedure and made me feel calm and at ease. If I ever have a third child he is the only anesthetist I would ever consider, and I would highly recommend him for both his medical excellence and calm and kind manner.
