Mrs Supriya Bulchandani

Mrs. Supriya Bulchandani is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with 17 years of experience in urogynaecology and laparoscopic surgery. She is the only RCOG accredited subspecialist in urogynaecology in the Coventry & Warwickshire region. She sees private patients at the Nuffield Health Hospital Leamington Spa and BMI Meriden Hospital Coventry.

Mrs Bulchandai earned her primary medical degree at Nagpur University in 1995, after which she undertook her basic and specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training in India. She later came to the UK to undertake further training in obstetrics and gynaecology and sub-specialist training in urogynaecology in the West Midlands, at Birmingham Women's Hospital. Upon completion of her training, Mrs Bulchandani joined the specialist register becoming a consultant in obstetrics, gynaecology and urogynaecology, and has since become a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology. She frequently works with the Society of Urogynaecology, using their guidelines in her treatment of patients and is also a member of the patient information committee, showing he dedication to providing patients and their families with all the information they need to make informed decisions about their care.

Mrs Bulchandani is an active member of the medical education community and also the research community, as she regularly partakes in the mentorship of junior gynaecologists and urogynaecologists, and has also authored many peer-reviewed articles in renowned gynaecology journals. Mrs. Bulchandani takes a holistic approach in her practice, working closely with a range of health professionals including midwives, physiotherapists, and continence nurses.

Mrs Bulchandani further specialises in managing symptoms of faecal urgency and incontinence after a 3rd or 4th degree perineal tear following a vaginal birth. She takes a keen interest in treating troublesome conditions such as painful sexual intercourse with the background expertise in psychosexual medicine.
