I was quite nervous about having my second knee replacement because I had struggled with the recovery from my first one and was worried I would go through the same experience again. However, from the moment I came to Elanic and met Mr Drury and the team, I felt reassured. About two weeks after the operation, I became concerned that things weren’t going well and asked to see Mr Drury. He saw me quickly, listened to my concerns and explained that my recovery was progressing as expected. That appointment completely changed my mindset and gave me the confidence to keep going. Since then, I’ve gone from strength to strength and, just eight weeks after surgery, I’m back cutting the grass, enjoying time with my family and have even been away on holiday. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Looking back, I’m so glad I decided to have my operation at Elanic with Mr Drury. Recently l started experiencing enormous pain in my right knee and as l couldn’t get an appointment with my GP, let alone a specialist, l decided to see Mr Gareth Jones privately. He saw me within the week. He was courteous, attentive and thoroughly professional. After examining me, l had some X-ray pictures taken and the results were back in no time. He then explained the X-ray pictures together with a model of the knee joints he had on his desk. It turned out that my pain arose not from osteoarthritis in the knee (as was assumed) but from my spine. I would liked to have been under Mr Jones care but unfortunately my knee wasn’t the cause of the pain. I thoroughly recommend Mr Gareth Jones if you have knee pains/problems.

I have suffered from keloids for many years and from the first day of being treated with a combination of fraxel laser and steroid injection I have noticed a marked difference in the appearance of my keloids. They have flattened and in in some areas have almost disappeared. The use of protopic ointment has helped with any discoloration of the treated areas. I am extremely happy with the results obtained and look forward to the time were I do not need to wear clothes that cover areas of my skin where the keloids are present. A visit well worth taking for piece of mind.

I came for a checkup on my knee, 6 weeks post surgery. Mr Abdelrahman was very informative and answered any questions I had thoroughly. He gave me useful advice to help with my recovery, such as exercises to do that will help with my knee flexion and quad activation. I came away feeling very good with everything I had concerns about prior to the appointment.
