It’s been a little over a month since my breast reduction surgery, and I already feel like a changed woman. This has been one of the best decisions of my life, and choosing Mr Ahid Abood and The Day Clinic in Cambridge was absolutely the right decision for me. I spent a lot of time researching surgeons in the area, and The Day Clinic stood out from the very beginning. The information available online was comprehensive, my initial enquiry was answered quickly, and I was able to arrange a consultation without a long wait. The pricing was also clear and transparent, which gave me confidence from the outset. Then I met Mr Abood, and I knew I had found the right surgeon for me. He is straightforward, down to earth, and very easy to talk to. I felt comfortable asking questions and never felt rushed. And what a spectacular job he has done! I am absolutely delighted with my results. I have the most amazing breasts, and I genuinely love looking at myself in the mirror now. That really says it all. The hospital stay and surgery went ahead like clockwork, and the whole team were wonderful. I was really impressed by the level of care and service throughout. Any follow-up questions I’ve had have been answered promptly, and my recovery is progressing nicely and as expected. I cannot recommend Mr Ahid Abood and The Day Clinic highly enough. If you’re considering breast reduction surgery, I would wholeheartedly recommend giving them a call. From my very first enquiry to my recovery so far, I have felt that I was in excellent hands. Mr Benjamin Lamb. Retzius Sparing Robotically Assisted Prostatectomy with NeuroSAFE. This is my second review of Mr Lamb. The first focussed on his first class aporoach to patient care. This time I want to focus on his expertise and surgical skill. I am 71 years old, fit but slightly overweight. A layman's review. Retzius Sparing: A technique that protects and preserves the nerves surrounding the prostate. In my case the nerves on both sides were fully preserved. At the time of catheter removal seven days post surgery I had been peeing normally for three days. At catheter removal I was delighted to continue as normal, no leakage, no incontinence. Robotically Assisted: I honestly thought the bruising and damage created during this procedure would cause discomfort for quite sometime, but, eight days post op I have no discomfort, the surgical wounds are healing nicely and I am Walking two miles a day. All testimony to the care and surgical technique adopted by Mr Lamb. NeuroSAFE: A technique where tissue is sent to the path lab for testing during surgery to check for cancer at the edges of the surgical site. This allows Mr Lamb, in real time, to either close the procedure or continue shaving tissue at the edge until the lab reports no further cancer cells. Thus I awoke to the knowledge that all the cancer had been removed. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Lamb for his expertise and patient care.

Mr Pakarian was recommended to me by a friend who knew that I was struggling with Urinary Stress Incontinence. From my first visit in February, I found Mr Pakarian to be very understanding, very supportive, calming and utterly professional. After an examination, he fully explained his findings and the process that I needed to go through before a decision on any treatment could be discussed. I still remember his words to me on that first visit “I can fix this” The words I had hoped to hear! Following some physiotherapy and a Urodynamic assessment, I was in a position to book the surgery that he recommended - to have a facial sling inserted. He fully explained what was involved. I opted to pay privately and booked in for the end of June. The entire hospital visit and after care was very positive. I stayed in for one night. After 6 weeks of rest and gentle walks, I can honestly say that Mr Pakarian has changed my life considerably. I am continuing with my walks on most days, have started running again and have so much more self confidence now. I’ve also shed a few lbs! I would definitely recommend anyone who is struggling as I did, to book an appointment. Thank you for everything Mr Pakarian.

Mr Vize was recommended to me by my optician. I conducted my own research and found that Mr Vize was the best of the best. At my first consultation, I immediately knew that I had made the right decision for upper Blepharoplasty to be performed by Mr Vize. From beginning to end, Mr Vize explained, reassured and completed the procedure. He is the most caring, genuine and personable consultant who is expert in his field. Not a job but a vocation. Surgery was completed under local anaesthetic. Mr Vize and his theatre team Megan, Tanya, Theresa and Jo were all fantastic and made me feel calm and comfortable during the procedure (I was very nervous). The theatre was relaxed with background music and good conversation with the team. The procedure took less than an hour and I was on my way home after cup of tea and biscuits. 2 weeks on and the difference in my eyes is amazing. Thank you Mr Vize I’m absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Most highly recommended.

I am very surrpised that you are asking for my feedback. When I went originally under the NHS I left a long letter about various misgivings and issues to do with the centre and how I was treated. All negative. I could send a copy of this to you if you wish. Nothing has changed as far as I can see. Then I returned as a private patient. It was not a happy experience at all. After the first cataract op, I was left traumatised. No exaggeration. The numbing agent did not work, pure iodine was poured into my eye. It was very painful. The nurse mishandled the lens and the back-up lens had to be inserted. The second eye had similar probelems: the nunbing agent did not work. Mr Ali (a charming man) said I had issues with iodine but thinking about it, it has to be that the numbing agent did not work. I cannot recommend Clarity in Macclesfield. I never want to return to that place.

I have been seeing Dr Egbase for heavy bleeding and menstrual pain. I chose her because I could see that she specialises in heavy and painful periods. From my first visit I felt listened, she asked a lot of questions to figure out how to treat me. I have just now had a hormonal IUD insertion (Mirena) with ber at the London Independent Hospital which went well despite my worries. She explained to me what was going to happen beforehand, reassured me that I could ask her to stop at anytime, and I had nurses Candice and Erin who were very nice and supportive as well with me during the procedure. I am very happy with my visits with Dr Egbase every time and I would recommend a thousand times, especially for people who have had bad gynaecologist experiences before.

After experiencing various skin irritations and swellings after a trip to Asia last year, I went to see Dr. Agathou as they were becoming progressively worse. Given the random nature of these flare-ups, it wasn’t initially clear what was going on. However after asking me a series of questions and analysing the photos I had taken, she recognised straight away that I have angioedema and spontaneous urticaria. She explained very calmly and clearly what this meant and that given the severity of reactions I would possibly require an EpiPen. She referred me promptly to an allergist, who after further investigation confirmed the diagnosis and required management. I’m so grateful for her comforting and knowledgable approach to something so seemingly complex.

I was seen by Dr. B. MURPHY and he took a full detail of my history and then examined by rash/spots ( a nurse was in the room). He figured out what was wrong and wrote there and then a note for my Doctor. Which I took and got my prescription. Its only day one but im already feeling better. Just knowing what is wrong ( whether you like it or not) has helped. He gave time to my daughter afterwards and explained it to her as well. She was considerate when clearing my ears and always checked that I was ok At the end she checked if there was anything I needed to say and if I required anything. She reassured me that I could return before the next review if I needed to All in all she was wonderful. I did see her name but did not write it down and now can’t remember but I think both names began with D.
