I honestly cannot recommend Dr Ankur Barua and the whole team at Midland Eye highly enough. My mum had cataract surgery on both eyes, and because she also suffers from uveitis, we were understandably quite worried about how everything would go. From the very beginning, Dr Barua was absolutely fantastic. He was calm, reassuring, extremely professional and took the time to explain everything properly to us. We never felt rushed, and he always made sure we understood what was happening and what to expect. Because of the uveitis, my mum’s case was not completely straightforward, so it was especially important for us to feel that she was in experienced and capable hands. Dr Barua gave us that confidence from the start. Both surgeries were handled with great care, and the follow-up and attention afterwards were just as reassuring. The whole team at Midland Eye were wonderful as well. Everyone was kind, welcoming and patient with my mum, and they made what could have been a very stressful experience feel much easier. I also want to give a special mention to Kate, who was incredibly helpful throughout the process, especially with all the documentation we needed. She was always approachable, responsive and willing to help, which made a huge difference for us. Dealing with paperwork alongside medical treatment can be stressful, so having someone like Kate there to support us was genuinely appreciated. What stood out to us most was that we never felt like just another patient. There was a real sense of care and attention throughout the whole experience, from the medical side to the administrative side. We are extremely happy with the outcome of both surgeries and very grateful for everything Dr Barua and the Midland Eye team have done for my mum. Seeing the improvement in her vision has made such a difference to her day-to-day life. A huge thank you to Dr Ankur Barua, Kate, and everyone at Midland Eye for your professionalism, patience, kindness and excellent care. We would recommend Midland Eye without hesitation, especially to anyone who may have a more complicated eye condition such as uveitis and wants to feel they are in safe and experienced hands. Absolutely 5 stars from us.

I recently had peroneal nerve decompression surgery on my left leg at Cleveland Clinic London, and I honestly cannot praise the experience enough. From the moment I arrived, every single member of staff—from reception and porters to the nurses, operating team and support staff—were absolutely amazing. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my entire journey. Mr Tom Quick, my surgeon, was exceptional. He took the time to clearly explain the procedure and what to expect during recovery, which really put me at ease. I felt completely confident in his care. What stood out the most was the personal touch—Mr Quick called me the very next day after surgery to check how I was doing and to let me know the operation had been successful in freeing up my nerve. That level of care meant so much. Now, 6 weeks post-operation, I’m walking really well. I do still get some aches now and again, but I understand that’s all part of the healing process and to be expected. I’m incredibly grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Cleveland Clinic London and Mr Tom Quick to anyone needing treatment

I really can’t recommend Melanie enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, not just about acupuncture but about fertility and supporting the body through pregnancy. After experiencing two early losses, Melanie helped me understand what may have been contributing to them and gave me reassurance and support along the way. I also really appreciated her honesty throughout. I’m now 20 weeks pregnant, and I really feel that Melanie’s knowledge, care and support have been such an important part of my journey. Her treatments were also hugely beneficial during the early weeks of my pregnancy, particularly in helping to ease symptoms and making what was a very anxious time feel much more manageable. I’m grateful to her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone going through fertility or pregnancy difficulties.

On arrival at the hospital we were warmly welcomed and I was showed to my room, which was nice clean comfortable. All staff helpful very kind and supportive from Dr Biswas and other Drs the nurses and the catering team. My treatment plan was explained to me so I knew every step which gave me lots of confidence for when I had my procedure. I stayed 2 nights. Dr Biswas is direct and answers all questions well, informing me of what to expect and what I would need when I get home and I was happily surprised to be given a follow up appointment date letter already. He outlined the three options available during the initial consultation, and I chose the Mako robotic-assisted partial knee replacement, having had a successful experience with the same procedure on my other knee five years earlier at the same hospital by another equally skilled surgeon. Booked this appointment a few hours prior and the receptionist was incredibly helpful upon booking. When i arrived at the Worle clinic 10-15 minutes early I was seen immediately and the lady I saw was brilliant; really helpful and talked me through different methods of ear wax removal and gave me the option to choose what I’d rather have based on previous appointments at other clinics. She explained that the clinic can remind me in however many months that I’m due another appointment which was awesome. Overall, great appointment and I can finally hear again!!

She took a great deal of time getting to know him and understanding how to improve his regimen. We did not feel rushed at all — she went into real detail and clearly has an excellent understanding of teenage skin. We are delighted to have found a dermatologist who can support our son, and would recommend her to any parent in a similar position.

I went to Mr Dannawi with terrible leg and back pain. At the initial consultation Mr Dannawi explained possible reasons and recommended a MRI, this happened in a couple of days with a followup straight away, the MRI clearly showed a compression on the spinal column- Mr Dannawi explained in detail that i needed a operation to address this. We scheduled the operation and all went very smoothly! Now there is no pain and the operating wound is healing well.

My dental examination was a. Great experience. The dentist explained everything he was doing and what needed to be done. He explained I needed to see the hygienist, but there was a four months wait. He suggested he would able see me if I wanted and want need to wait for four months. I was taken aback, as I haven’t had a dentist offer such a great experience and looking after his patient. I made an appointment made at the reception, a week later.
