I attended for spinal MRI. Unfortunately the technician was running late for which I was happy to wait but because of timing his communication to me was very poor. I was shown a room to change and left there without any guidance, I was then taken to the MRI machine and not spoken to really to ask if I was okay or to provide any reassurance. I don’t like MRI scans because can feel anxious within the machine. All it takes is a little bit of reassurance and acknowledgement for which I had none. Throughout the test the technician did not speak to me at all to ask if I was okay. I am not sure if this is normal but I found during the MRI it became quite hot which I have not experienced before. When the test was over he hurried me away from the machine without acknowledging my back could be hurting when getting up, which it was a little. He didn’t show me to the door so I had to ask if I was allowed to go and then left the room to change and go home. My review would be it is the smallest common curtesies that makes all the difference to a patient and this time I did not experience this at all. So much so I won’t be choosing to go to this venue for another investigation

I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. He was very accommodating of her as well allowing her to talk to him on the phone and with me in my final consultation. I want to thank Mr Atkinson for putting me forward for this care, without this I would be struggling with my physical activities and now I have a new lease of life. Thank you so much.

I had a really positive experience at the hospital during my recent surgery. From the moment I arrived, everything was organised, calm, and reassuring. The staff at every stage — reception, nursing, surgical, and aftercare — were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. The hospital itself was clean, comfortable, and well-run. I felt safe and well looked after throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered clearly, and the team always made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. I was seen by Dr Heggy and a lovely staff nurse Charlotte. Dr Heggy was fantastic he actually listened to me. He listened to exactly how I was and had been feeling. I'd been told by another Dr that there was nothing that could be done so I had to see someone for pain management. I'm in pain everyday and just wanted a resolution or at least pin point what could be wrong. Dr Heggy really made me feel heard and suggested other things before we gave up and just give me medication for my pain. Nurse Charlotte was fantastic. While Dr Heggy was looking things up and trying to find other options Charlotte spoke to me like an actual human. So thank you to Dr Heggy and nurse Charlotte for your time and patience with me. It's very much appreciated

The overall experience was excellent. As an NHS patient I felt I waited too long which affected my mental health and mobility, this wait has impacted on my recovery. I would have waited even longer if I hadn’t gone to my GP and asked for my operation to be escalated. The whole process took six months of physio initial NHS xray took a further 5 months to see the consultant then a further 4 and a half months for op. This has been a nightmare. I am however extremely appreciative of my operation and the treatment I have received during my stay at Hoarders. Also on the discharge sheet I was given a number to call for worries and questions once I got home this number was however not answered and my answer phone message was not called back.

I was in private unit ,I had an apointment with Mr. al Midani. For the subjects kidney , hernia, obesity. I turst Mr. Al Midani. He is a perfect doctor. 👏👏🧿🧿⭐⭐. He thinks with the patient, on the side of the patient. He explains everything briefly. We had the obesity subject in the last 6-8 months. ,it goes very well. I got 18-20 kg lighter. And in a few months Most probably I will have the surgery for my hernia occured after the kidney transplantation/mediterranian univ. Mr. Al Midani will do the hernia operation here in Royal Free. Because he has the experience on both hernia and kidney transplantation. Thanks to him for all his efforts.. And congrats 👏🧿⭐

My experience was very disappointing with the consultant. I was happy for my appointment to be changed just before attending due to the consultant running late. I was very disappointed with the lack of interest and time shown to be by the consultant. I got 10 minutes of his time to be told to cut out caffeine at the cost of £250. I was hoping to receive some understanding of what could be causing recurrent UTI's and reassuring me of any fears of anything sinister i.e bladder cancer. Only to be told this only occurs for around 10/20% of cases. I think what really irked me was he looked at his watch part way through me speaking This I found very disrespectful and rude.
