A very pleasant approachable doctor who did a total hip repair for me i made a speedy recovery . I now need my other hip replacing but i am very pleased to know i am in the capable hands of Dr Dowen

Mr Dowen has done both of my total knee replacement operations. He is easy to talk to and takes the time to explain procedures thoroughly. His after care is exemplary and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I found Mr Dowen to be professional in his approach to my procedure , he explained both the positive and possible negatives of it , answering my questions and giving me confidence as my TKR operation approached .

Mr Dowen was very approachable and gave excellent advice. He reassured me on what was wrong and how my operation would relieve my pain. Mr Dowen came to see me after the operation and advised that it had gone well and I was very pleased with the success of my hip replacement. I am up and running again after six weeks which is remarkable given my age and how debilitating my pain had been.

Thoroughly professional , shows empathy to his patients . An amazing surgeon who has given me a new lease of life with a 100% successfully left knee replacement .Also he’s a lovely man who I have complete faith in for the replacement of my right knee as and when it’s needed.

Mr Dowen kept me informed on everything that was happening or about to happen regarding my operation. All the risk factors were explained clearly and precisely. Mr Dowen visited me before and after the operation and made sure I was recovered and comfortable. All in all an excellent experience.
