I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

Ms Jihène El Kafsi

Ms El Kafsi treated me for Achalasia in 2023 and has remained in contact ever since to monitor my symptoms. Not being able to swallow & keep food down is a stressful experience especially when it's been going on for a while. Jihène put me at ease from the very first moment I met her, she explained what was happening to my body in a way that allowed me to adjust my diet and the way I ate which made an immediate difference to my symptoms. She explained the process of confirming my diagnosis, even taking the time to be present during the Manometry test. Life since the Hellers Myotomy surgery, performed by Jihène has been like night & day; there will always be occasional issues, that's just the nature of Achalasia, but 99.9% of my problems are gone and I could never thank her enough for that. Never once did I feel like I was just another patient, Jihène truly cares and I know if my symptoms flare up again, she'll be there to help.

I normally don’t write reviews, I’m someone who feels that if you do your job well, there is no need. However I have just been been signed off for my second eye cataract surgery and would like to thank all those involved in bringing this about. It was a long haul as my second eye was so bad after an accident back in my teens that a lens had to be made specially to correct my vision. It took about six weeks to make, but I was kept informed of progress regularly. I have nothing but praise for the people who saw me throughout. From the security guys, reception and medical team, to the optometrists, the surgeon and of course Hannah. As my point of contact, Hannah was there to answer my questions and kept me up to date with progress. Once again thanks one and all. In the nicest possible way, I hope I don’t see you again for a long, long time.

Dr Pieri is a fantastic surgeon. I had breast reduction surgery 2 year ago; my results are life changing, he done such an amazing job. I have recently had further surgery under local anaesthetic to remove a new breast lump in January 2026 at The Beverley Hospital by Dr Pieri, who again has done an amazing job. Dr Pieri and his team at The Beverley Hospital are outstanding, they are all so friendly, professional and made me feel so at ease for my surgery. I was looked after by Helen, Tracy and Lydia who were absolute angels. They’re also great when needing to call for any worries or queries, happy to go above and beyond for any help and support. The new Beverley Hospital is beautiful inside also, I felt like I was in a spa not a hospital. I could not recommend Dr Pieri and his team enough to anyone wanting to undergo any plastic surgery!

Mr Sayed Iqbal Miakhil

Mr Miakhil welcomed me warmly, asked me how I have been since having the procedure. I told him that I was feeling very well and I was very happy with the outcome following the operation. I also told him that I was sleeping much better and going to the toilet once or twice during the night, compared to waking up 6-7 times, which is what was happening before the operation. He then asked me if I had anything that I was worried about. So I asked him about having intimacy (sex) with my wife and that I was not getting firm erections. He assured me that things will improve gradually, so he prescribed Tadalafil 5mg tablets for me to take to help in this regard.

This was my 2 nd cataract op with Mr Kamran Khan at Newmedica Leeds. I was very happy with my treatment with everyone especially Wr Kamran Khan who I can’t recommend enough, he was friendly, assuring and also the lovely nurse who looked after me after my op. Sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so caring. Anyone going for a cararact op this place is brilliant and everyone I came in contact with both times I was there I feel I couldn’t have had better. Someone calls you the following day to check that you are okay so everything perfect. Thank you all.

She is such a wonderful doctor and on my first consultation she addressed not only my medical condition but she also asked me about my nutrition, sleep, sport and my day to day job. She is one of the few doctors that she has a holistic approach and listen to her patients. In my opinion she is a gem in Endocrinology and recommended her to a friend recently. Love Prof Dorota and thank you so much for all the advice you gave me as a doctor but also as a woman to woman.

I had been referred by Bupa and the Dundee location wasn’t the nearest but it was possible to get an appointment sooner. So it proved awkward to drive to but I knew that when booking. For my discharge appointment it wasn’t great driving for three hours round trip for a five min chat that could have been done over the phone. Otherwise I had a really great experience with the team and Dr Mowat. He was speedy, knowledgeable, understanding, patient, professional, friendly and very approachable. I would highly recommend

Mr Acharya performed both my hip replacement surgeries, the first in October 2024 and the second in November 2025, and I am absolutely delighted with the outcome. I am also a Stage 4 cancer sufferer and he went out of his way to liaise with Clatterbridge to ensure my treatment was managed around the surgeries. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I am now walking perfectly and, most importantly, pain free! I noticed the cleanliness of the office and waiting rooms. A very polite gentleman dealt with our car parking charge and wished us well - this was noted too. We were also kept informed of why the appointment was slightly late - this too was most appreciated since others in the waiting room were going ahead of us despite having later appointments. Simple things do make all the difference. Appointment itself was efficient as was the subsequent X-ray test downstairs. All in all - very pleased.

I was referred to Professor Paleri immediately I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He is currently conducting investigations so he can decide the plan to treat my cancer. In spite of my real terror I feel completely safe in his care and so so grateful for having being speedily transferred to him. Can I also mention that his assistant is Ma Muni King who is so kind and compassionate. This is a scary journey. To be cared for by Professor Paleri is a privilege.
