Daniela Stan quite literally saved my life. I originally went to her for a routine abdominal ultrasound. Through her exceptional thoroughness and care, she suggested that I also check my thyroid and breasts — something I had never done before. I was not even aware that breast ultrasound was available as a screening option, as I had always thought mammograms were the only way. During this examination, Daniela found a very small invasive breast cancer at a stage where I had absolutely no symptoms. I had done yearly blood tests and many types of screening, but never breast imaging, simply because I did not know ultrasound was possible. My biopsy specialist and cancer treatment team later told me that Daniela is truly the hero of my story. Had it not been for her expertise and vigilance in finding such a small lesion, a few years later my situation could have been dramatically different. Daniela has many years of experience in both the UK and the US and it shows in every aspect of her work. She is incredibly thorough, highly skilled and deeply compassionate. What also deeply impressed me is that her fees are extremely affordable and she even offers free follow-up scans in cases where she finds lesions — something that speaks volumes about her integrity and genuine care for her patients. I urge every woman to prioritise breast screening and to see Daniela if possible. I will be forever grateful to her — she truly changed the course of my life.

I had a consultant review with Dr Shaikh for the re-initiation and titration of medication for a pre-existing ADHD diagnosis. I chose Mentis Clinic as it was the most affordable option I found during my research, particularly considering that their service includes consultant review, medication titration appointments, prescriptions, and a shared care agreement. My previous notes were reviewed promptly, and I was offered an initial consultant appointment within a week, followed by a titration appointment the following week. Dr Shaikh was very attentive and took the time to understand my circumstances and reasons for seeking re-initiation and titration of medication. There was no waiting list, which meant I was seen extremely quickly. The pharmacy also handled my prescription efficiently, with medication delivered in a timely manner. After the initial consultant review, I received my clinic letter very quickly and was given the opportunity to request amendments, which were dealt with promptly. I was provided with comprehensive information about medication options and was also given a letter of support for education and employment without even having to request one, which was something I genuinely needed. I am extremely satisfied with the service I have received from Mentis Clinic and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking assessment or ongoing care for ADHD.

Overall the experience was great. Justyna was simply amazing, super positive, supportive and caring. I felt very looked after. Where things could be improved - better communication in terms of the order of surgery. My expectations was for a 2:30 surgery, but instead I had to wait for an elongated period without anyone communicating with me or my wife. I don’t think anyone offered my wife a cup of tea or other which would have been nice. Post surgery in the recovery room, the ladies began to inclune the bed before I was ready and to the point where I experienced a lot of pain at the surgery point. I found this very distressing and was not needed. A more progressive approach to inclining the bed would have been much better and I could have let them know I was at my comfortable limit, as opposed to being pushed passed it and into pain. I believe as a result of this pain, they gave me a heavy dose of morphine which kept me groggy for a long period into the evening. I would question if this was needed if they hadn’t pushed me past my comfortable limits.

I recently had bilateral cataract surgery. From start to finish the treatment I received was excellent. The patient liaison manager was really helpful, friendly, incredibly supportive and a welcome calming influence. I was amazed by the state of the art optical equipment that was available to ensure that my lenses were perfectly suited to the dimensions of my eyes and my prescription, as well as the care that the technicians took while taking the measurements. The optometrists I saw were caring and informative, ensuring that I knew about the different types of intra ocular lenses available and what I may expect from them. They carried out my eye tests with care and patience. The eye surgeon was incredibly experienced and very skilled, and carried out the procedure very efficiently with great care. Now, six weeks post-surgery, I am very grateful of the care I received and the quality and clarity of my lenses; both aspects easily surpassed all my expectations. I would highly recommend Freedom Vision, Chelmsford to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I was first suggested by another surgeon to just have implants dr Shan explained the benefits of having a lift for the future and I trusted her completely with size and all the procedures that were going to give me the best results and she did. It is so refreshing to have honesty and not be bamboozeled with compliments or promises and come out dizzy out of a consultation room. She is a person that aims for perfection and my results already reassure me of the final result. I am forever grateful and will trust her again.

Fantastic outcome. I am over the moon as I can now read without the need for glasses and not have to restrict my movements due to anxiety over night driving. I really didn't realise how much the cataract was impacting my life as the effects build gradually over a period of time. I was a little nervous going into surgery but the whole experience was very well and comfortably managed by the entire team. I can honestly say there was no pain. This along with the brilliant results after my first eye operation enabled me to actually look forward to having the 2nd eye done. I had a dental hygienist appointment. When it came to booking a further six monthly appointment I was asked to pay £35 in advance! This would be deducted from my bill in six months time. I declined to do this and cancelled my next appointment. I presume that at the next appointment I'd be asked yet again to pay £35 in advance, which basically means that this is just a way of charging a one off payment over and above the actual cost! I have never been asked to pay in advance for any private care, dental or otherwise. I think this is very sharp practice. By all means have a cancellation policy and charge the customer for not attending, but don't just take £35 well in advance! I may have to change my dental practice if this continues.

From the German health system, I wasn't used to be taken too seriously with my views, needs and concerns, so, I had previously experienced a lot of frustration. Positive perks - the waiting room had adjustable height chairs meaning I didn't have to struggle getting in and out of chairs! Dr Chinoy didn't judge me, or make me feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience (something I have grown accustomed to from the nhs). Despite my symptoms not fitting in with his specialities he recommended a colleague who he feels confident would be able to meet my needs. Although private care is hard on my wallet as a self funder, the advice, treatment and service I received overall made it more than worthwhile.

Prof. Rambani explained the whole process. This was my second hip replacement by him in the last 20 months so the second one wasn't too unexpected. Operation scar was complimented by GP's nurse on removal of clips - she said it was a "good" and very clean and no sign of infection. Had some pain for first couple of weeks but had some aching for another 4 or 5 weeks whilst muscle exercises started to help.
