I met Mr Wong (Billy) around August 2024 for recurrent sinusitis and loss of taste / smell. Billy has always been so attentive, responsive, considerate and kind. Billy explains everything clearly so I completely understood what was happening. Billy is thorough in his care: obtaining images to better understand what is going on before making an ongoing plan. I recently had sinus surgery (FESS) with Billy as my condition had not improved despite good medical management. Billy is not only an incredibly skilled surgeon, he is also a fantastic and caring individual (with a good sense of humour too!). Billy met with me before surgery and reassured me, he was also in the pre op room, then in the theatre with me, then recovery and also post op to debrief and check up on how I was feeling. This kind of healthcare is so vital to people's wellbeing; this stuff matters, it's a shame that it's so rare, but with Billy; it's there as standard and flawless! I cannot recommend him enough. If you want the absolute gold standard of care: book with Mr Wong.

Mr Ben Yates is in my opinion an excellent podiatric surgeon who gives a very good clinical opinion. I was unhappy that Mr Yates charged me for a “new patient” appointment when this was in fact a follow up appointment lasting about 12 minutes following previous surgery by Mr Yates. Furthermore, I did not receive a clinic letter from Mr Yates until I chased it up more than 2 weeks after my appointment. I received no apology for the delay in sending the letter. Mr Yate’s clinical letter did not contain all the information promised at the consultation and I was obliged to chase this information again. I emailed Mr Ben Yates to raise my concerns but I did not receive a reply from him.

I have visited the Private Eye Hospital on many occasions(the last one on 8.1.26)and have always found all the staff to be very friendly but professional.The service I have received on each occasion has been of the highest order.I would particularly like to mention my eye Consultant Sharmina Khan.She is without doubt the “jewel in the crown”for the Hospital.Anything involving your eyes is incredibly stressful.Sharmina has an amazing ability to put you at your ease and feel confident everything will be fine which it has been.If you read this review and require advice in relation to your eyes then I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hospital

Mr Jason Ho

I saw Mr Ho following some concerns I had with one of my eyes after cataract surgery carried out by a different surgeon. Mr Ho was very thorough in his approach and identified that I had some tears in my retina which needed repairing fairly urgently. He performed a vitrectomy (retina repair) the same day and following a few weeks recovery my eye is now fully healed. I can't recommend Mr Ho enough, his manner with patients is excellent, he fully informs you as to what he plans to do and why and his aftercare is excellent. I'm very glad I engaged him when I had a problem with my eye and wish I'd had him do the cataract surgery in the first place.

Welcoming and helpful. Only one lift was working and the remaining one was noisy and slow but there was a notice advising of this. The coffee machine in wait area was out of order Reception staff were kind and helpful but sometimes difficult to understand accent. One set of chairs in a sub waiting area was under a shelf which meant I knocked my head. Appeared clean and efficient and was quiet on day of my visit. Preoperative bloods were done straight after consultation which is very good and in fact results appeared next day. That's good service. Overall allowing for things that happen a positive experience.

The Clinic was a little difficult to find but once there the staff were excellent and very efficient. My appointment was on time and the waiting area was warm and comfortable. The consultant was very helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions. I wasn’t rushed or meant to feel unimportant. The nurse was helpful and reassuring. There had been an administrative problem that I had mentioned to the lady on arrival and that was completely sorted out by the time I left which was extremely efficient. I will have no hesitation on returning for a procedure in the near future. An excellent clinic

A professional who is very easy to talk to. No airs or graces or arrogance here whatsoever. He examined my knee and was happy to give a realistic recovery time from total knee replacement surgery. At the same time he encouraged me to return to driving, whilst congratulating me on obvious efforts to adhere to the absolutely vital exercises I had stuck to both before and after surgery. I came away positively spurred on by this consultation today. I had been in skilful hands for this surgery. His Team also deserve a mention and praise. Leadership - so important.

I was recommended to book an appointment at the clinic due to ongoing pain from planta fasciitis, that I’d had for 2 years.. I saw Stuart Hodder for an assessment and then a follow up appointment. It was clear that exercise alone was not going to address my ongoing issues so he recommended an injection. I am now a month past the injection and am overjoyed with the outcome. For the first time in 2 years I am pain free. I am able to walk long distances and not be crippled by pain the next day. I only wish I’d been recommended to the clinic sooner.

My recent visit to the Fortius Clinic for removal of stitches and a post operative assessment was short, on time and to the point. On arrival, as always for previous appointments, the reception staff were briefed and I was immediately sent to the correct location, waiting time in a comfortable environment was minimal before being called in to see my surgeon, Mr Houlihan-Burne. who took the time to answer a few questions. and assure me that should there be any future queries or worries, he & his staff were always available. This was my first visit to a breast clinic after a referral, and also my first experience of having an mammogram and ultrasound. The clinic kindly found me an alternative slot the same day after I was unable to make the original appointment. Ms Seema Seetharam and the team I saw were all highly professional, approachable and kind. They answered my questions and gave me accessible information to help my understanding. They made a potentially very stressful experience much less stressful and I'm very grateful.

The consultant Dr Smotra was outstanding. Her bedside manner was so reassuring - she put me at my ease and explained everything thoroughly. I was anxious about the endometrial biopsy (having had a very painful one in the past with a different clinician some years ago) but she was gentle and calming - it was soon over with! Lucy the nurse was also brilliant, caring for me and bringing my anxious husband in to see me afterwards. We both felt very well looked after. Thank you so much.

Mr Van Wyk was friendly and easy to talk to . He listened to my problem and made a careful examination and diagnosis. He offered a wait and see strategy rathe than an immediate treatment which I found abit disappointing but how wrong I was! His timely advice avoided me needing surgery because the problem solved itself after a few weeks. I would not hesitate to consult him again or to recommend him highly to others.
