I recommend Dr Shalni in the strongest terms to mothers and families looking for private care at UCLH. Shalini is passionate about obstetrics, her patients and practising medicine. It is a great privilege to be cared for by a clinician at the top of her field, who clearly cares deeply about her patients. We opted for private care at UCLH because we wanted the birth experience to be as positive as possible. As a medically uncomplicated patient I felt that I may not receive much attention or time on an overstretched NHS ward. I also had some anxieties around birth (as a healthcare professional myself) and felt reassured to be receiving consultant-led care. from Shalini, a professional at the top her field and with whom I was able to build a trusting relationship. Shalini provided exceptional care from 32 weeks pregnancy and after delivery. She got to know me and my partner, and understood our priorities and concerns. I had previously found it hard to make decisions around birth. Shalini provided us with evidence, data and her experience - this empowered us to make the decision that was right for us. She spent a lot of time with us and brought great care, empathy and kindness to her practice, as well as her excellent clinical skills. When we had questions, fears or anxieties Shalini was able to reassure us, both with her kindness and her experience and expertise. The care she provides is holistic and individualised - she advocated for me in many ways and empowered me to advocate for myself too. We had an elective caesarean at 39 weeks. The surgery was pain free and crucially for me, I felt confident and safe - something that was not natural for me in approaching birth. Shalini was close at hand to care for us before and afterwards. I made an excellent recovery and have healed extremely well.

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

The clinical staff are wonderfully attentive and caring, and will move mountains to make you comfortable. I am so pleased to have made the decision to stay at Delamere and would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone who wants to make a change.

From my first consultation and throughout the process, everything was explained clearly to me. Mr Ferris' website gave so much invaluable information as to how the whole proceedure would take place, and what to expect. I had cataracts removed and lens replacement on both eyes on the same day, all the staff were very friendly and kind, and Mr Ferris was very reassuring. The whole procedure was over within half an hour and I felt no discomfort at all. Removing the eye shield the next day, I was completely amazed at how vibrant colours were and my ability to see clearly, I was able to read without glasses for the first time in years! Five weeks on I am delighted with the results and would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ferris, and the procedure is nothing to worry about!

She is always keen to involve my family and ensure I am fully supported. She has helped me navigate several gynaecology conditions that I have recently been investigated for and diagnosed with. She continues to follow up with me and ensure I am well looked after. She looks at me from head to toe and listens to each of my concerns, no matter what they are, with compassion. She is a true angel who I was blessed with to have as my doctor. I will always sing her praises she is truly phenomenal. I am beyond lucky to have her looking after me. She is my inspiration for when I graduate and become a doctor.

De Holden has done more than she knows. She has been the first doctor that has listened to me and made me not only feel heard but also like I’m a whole person not a group of symptoms and issues with no end in sight. Dr Holden has a lovely manner about her and actually cares about her patients. The whole process was simple and the best decision I have made. I now need to work on a more in depth action plan to more forward with but know I can go back and get help to more forward if needed. This appointment helped me more than any medication could. It gave me my sense of self and not like I was making it all up. I wholly 100% recommend Dr Holden if you are struggling with joint pain because she cares and that is unfortunate rare today

My recent visit was positive as always, everyone is always warm and welcoming from the moment you step into the door. The office is clean and inviting and always decorated according to the season’s festive calendar, which always a nice touch. I admired the snowflakes decal on the windows giving it a cosy festive feel and fairy lights as I was getting my treatment! I have been seeing Lil for years now and she is absolutely amazing, I feel like a different person when I walk out the practice, in the best way possible. Also, if something else is bothering me she always makes time to take a look and do the necessary adjustments or advise on what exercises to do, or see a GP!

Mr Okechukwu Okonkwo

I recently had a septoplasty and polyp removal carried out by Mr Okonkwo, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I had suffered from recurring sinus blockages and infections for many years, but just four weeks after surgery the difference is incredible. I can smell again, breathe freely through my nose, and even my speech has improved as I’m no longer sounding nasal. The operation itself was straightforward and done as day surgery. I felt very well looked after throughout, woke up with minimal discomfort, and my recovery has been smooth. I’m truly grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Mr Okonkwo to anyone experiencing similar sinus issues.

I recently had robotic laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Ross Hall hospital. My surgery went very smoothly with a very quick uneventful recovery. I was home the same day, and back to work in less than 3 weeks. Having robotic surgery meant I required minimal pain relief post op, and I felt great. Mr Renwick as excellent at explaining exactly what the procedure involved, post op complications, where my scars would be so I knew exactly what I was expecting. After surgery he explained in depth how the surgery went, and followed up with pathology report at my 6 week review. All in all an excellent consultant and I felt safe allowing him to carry out my procedure

Tucked away, the clinic had a bright and airy interior. A warm welcome greeted me at the door and I was swiftly directed to reception. Unlike some medical waiting areas it felt comfortable and homely. I noted they had security was at the entrance, which was reassuring. A cheerful receptionist checked me in efficiently. The waiting area was pleasant, offering a variety of hot drinks including still and sparkling water, biscuits and snacks. I asked for a taxi on leaving and the lady at reception explained they didn’t have a direct telephone number, but would get a colleague to wave one down for me. Very thoughtful.

Great experience in general. The whole thing from the emails you get, the appointment scheduling and of course visiting the doctor, all went really smoothly. I saw Dr Antbring who was really lovely and helped me through my journey including the initial scan, sending me for the MRI and helping me to decide and then actually doing the injection and of course a plan for my rehab exercises. To help other people having the operation, I would encourage them to have it and explain its hard work at first but gets easier the more work you put in yourself , meaning physio work , sticking to the plan and not doing too much or definitely to little and being patient, success will come it might take time . I'm totally pain free which probably took a good 4 months to get there , now after nearly 10 months I have no problems whatsoever!
