I saw Mr Dattani for ongoing shoulder pain that had been affecting my daily activities, exercise, and overall quality of life. From the outset, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism, expertise, and calm manner. I never felt rushed, and his explanations were easy to understand, which gave me real confidence in the plan we agreed together. What I particularly appreciated was his measured and sensible approach — he did not rush to surgery and focused on the most appropriate treatment for my situation. The care I received was excellent, and the improvement in my shoulder has been significant. I am now back to normal daily activities and exercise with minimal discomfort. The follow-up was equally thorough, and the whole process felt well organised and reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Dattani to anyone seeking expert shoulder care. He combines outstanding technical knowledge with genuine care for his patients, and I felt completely confident throughout my treatment.

Walking into Spire hospital at Manchester, I was greeted by really good reception staff who listened to what I said and then made it happen. It felt very well organised. Into the wards/clinics for treatment, I was again greeted by friendly, confident staff who quickly put me at ease and explained what was to be carried out. All of my tests/treatments were carried out very professionally, on time and with care and respect. I felt comletly at ease throughtout. 5 Stars in every respexct for the clinical staff and Spire Manchester. Bad Experiencies. Dealing with the Spire Online/ Phone back office and Booking System. It was diabolical in all aspects. It appeared to be very dis-jointed and not able to pass information on internally nor take notice of what I told them. I received meaningless paperwork that bore little resemblance to what was to be done and its timeline. The night before treatment, around 8 p.m., I even received an email that told me all my procedures/ tests were to be carried out in Liverpool, not Manchester. Very poor level communications from Spire admin. very bad experience for me.

My experience throughout foe both eyes and post care has been excellent. Dr Allam was excellent, very professional, knowledgeable about cataracts . My initial surgery was deferred from 2nd Dec until 16th December 2025. This was due to my right being unfected. Dr Allam reassured me that my surgery would happen before christmas. The surgery did happen on 16th December. From preparation to surgery Dr Allam and team excelkent in communicating to me the process Typea of Lenses and cost. Lynne (nurse) was excellent exolaining post-Surgery and demonstrating how to apply the anti-biotic eye drops .Excellwnt support was privided in terms of eye protectors,tape and drops. Follow up by Dr Allam was excellent abd made me feel valued as a person, not just as a customer. The surgery was a major success. On 6th January 2026 I had a last follow up post surgery assessment. Resukting in Dr Allam confirming through eyes assessments, tge surgery was a success. I want to say thank to DR Allam and team for an excellent support abd for the first time since I was 7 years old I can see amazingly well !

Having been under Mr Justin’s care for 5 years, following a tubo ovarian abscess and pelvic inflammatory disease, stemming from my appendix (all successfully resolved), I decided to undergo a total laparoscopic hysterectomy as a result of ongoing symptoms caused by adenomyosis. Mr Justin’s care, expertise, knowledge and meticulous approach throughout has been invaluable to me, enabling me to make informed decisions, prepare for the surgery and recover well, to achieve the best outcome. The follow up consultation (7 weeks post surgery) provided me with further information and reassurance about the surgery, and certain answers that provided, and the confidence that I can now move on from the issues of the past 5 years. I would (and have) trusted Mr Justin with my life. He is a superb consultant and surgeon, a consummate professional and a caring, kind person.

Asked to be 15 mins early for scan, but then not called until 30 mins or so after time of appointment without any prior indication of running late (perhaps because it was at 6pm ). Head scanner was still busy so junior radiologer kindly chatted to me for 15 mins after I'd changed to kill time. Having been told it would take 15 mins, scan took about 45 mins and team forgot to talk to me or put music on despite me saying I was a bit claustrophic (but can get by ok). Then at 8pm, no doubt in rush to scan next person, they didn't remove cannula so i wandered around to find another staff member to do that who happily obliged. Not a major problem but not up to Cleveland usual standards. Staff were all very friendly though, but perhaps clinic shouldn't book in patients at end of day if they can't really handle them properly.

Professor Khalaf gave us the confidence and reassurance to try again, and I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was very impressed by the clarity, structure and details of the summary of my first appointment. It was the most professional summary of a medical meeting that I have read in any hospital. What particularly impressed me was that it set out precisely how this first session had been designed to "break me in" by conducting it in a chair instead of more formally lying down and with fewer needles than subsequently. Mr Brown cleverly interspersed medical questions with some remarks about Somerset. This limited distraction was vital to me as I am chronically needle phobic. In this way, by partly taking my mind off what might have been an ordeal, Mr Brown ensured that I underwent no strains, mental or physical, from the treatment.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. Once I arrived on the day of my surgery, the nurses were great in making sure I was fully prepared. The only questionable experience I had was that the physio who visited me before the surgery caused some confusion, as the exercises she showed me to do during the first three weeks were not what Prof. Field had said. Also it seemed odd that the physio visited me before the surgery, rather than after. Hence I ended up staying the night and saw Yannis, a different physio, the following morning, who was incredibly helpful. However, the experience overall was great, and Prof. Field and Dr Hussain, along with the day and night nurses, made me feel very comfortable and looked after me well.
