I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Kasia. From the very first interaction, she was exceptionally kind, considerate, and empathetic. She spent nearly an hour with me on a call, which in itself was remarkable, especially compared with many private consultations where time can feel extremely limited. I never once felt rushed. What stood out most was the depth of her preparation and attention to detail. She had clearly reviewed my entire medical history thoroughly and in far more depth than any clinician I have seen previously. Her knowledge of oncology is outstanding, but what really impressed me was her ability to integrate this with a broader understanding of complex medical issues and explain everything clearly and logically. Her manner and tone were incredibly reassuring, and she demonstrated genuine sympathy and care throughout. She ensured no detail was overlooked and went above and beyond in liaising with other departments and specialists to make sure every aspect of my case was considered properly. For the first time in a long time, I felt that someone was truly in control of my care. She explained not only the current situation but also the possible future pathways, likelihoods, and risks in a way that finally made sense. Until this consultation, I had felt very much in the dark and extremely anxious due to conflicting or unclear information from other providers. After speaking with Dr Kasia, I felt informed, empowered, and significantly less anxious. I now feel completely reassured that I am in the best possible hands and that my care is being managed thoroughly and thoughtfully. I was also extremely impressed with her secretary, who is wonderfully responsive, accurate, and friendly. Queries were answered incredibly quickly, and I was able to speak to Dr Kasia on the very same day I raised the request, which was quite extraordinary. This has been, without question, the best medical experience I have ever had. I feel confident, supported, and optimistic moving forward, knowing I am under the care of such an outstanding doctor and team.

I had a very good experience with Visio Health when I had recent laser treatment following cataract surgery on both eyes with Ms Sandhu. The cataract surgery, which took place in hospital in July and October, has been very successful. I no longer need glasses after having vision corrective lenses. And I hadn’t realised quite how blurred and sepia my sight had become. My vision is now very clear and bright. It really has positively impacted my life. Everything looks like it did back when I was young. It’s so much more cheerful than that blurry, yellow sight that I had grown so used to. And I am so much more confident when driving. No more night glare. I was really apprehensive and anxious about cataract surgery. So much so that it was decided that I would have the procedure under general anaesthetic. But I can honestly say that despite all the worry the end result is better than I could have imagined. The laser treatment at Visio to improve my sight further with one session of laser treatment was totally painless, very straightforward and uncomplicated. The clinic was very well organised and the staff were all lovely. A very good experience.

Professor Man is a great specialist, I got the chance to test my lungs post covid and we found life changing information. Unfortunately, I had extreme admin issues with his secretary. I was under extreme fatigue when I had my first appointment and now years later, I wanted access to my results and consider a follow-up. I was gatekeeped from having a new appointment, I was not given not even a new specialist recommendation. I had to request the hospital directly my tests (which they found in 48hs). She did not reply directly none of my queries. All avoidance. Long covid patients are very vulnerable. We need gentle care. I am now in admin-referral limbo. As many long covid patients, I have seen 10+ specialists, this is the very first time I have this lack of care from a secretary.

When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

I’m so grateful to have had the most amazing experience with Eugene as my consultant. He was so kind and welcoming and made me feel at ease from start to finish. He did his absolute best to meet my birth preferences and made me feel really comfortable and listened to. It is now several weeks since Mr Wearne fitted me with Galaxy lens implants in both eyes and it has exceeded my expectations. Before I had been using disposable contact lenses for about 25 years with all the inconvenience involved. I was hoping that the replacement lenses would remove the to need for any sight aids at all and to leave me with acceptable night vision. Now I have better vision at all distances and in all lights, far better than I was expecting. Mr Wearne was very thorough in the consultation and pre assessments, and when carrying out the procedure both he and the nurses were re-assuring and caring.

My son had a surgical extraction and the procedure was very calm and relaxed for him. I was able to be there too, so I watched the whole procedure and was very impressed at how clean the procedure was, resulting in a positive experience and successful extraction, ahead of upcoming orthodontic work. Waiting times weren't too long, although for private treatment we had hoped to be seen a little sooner than we were. It is a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Each patient (and accompanying person) seemed to have a good interaction with the staff. There was a good discussion with Mr. Smith on the situation with respect to the eyes and possible treatments which may also need to be done elsewhere. He listened to my comments and questions and responded in a clear way. During the treatment care was taken to warn me of any possible pressure on the face, but Mr. Smith has a light touch so there was never any problem. All three treatments in 2025 were done very well.

The therapists and dietitians are very passionate about helping patients and clearly have a genuine desire to help people. The group therapy sessions and the structure of the day was very helpful in helping my recovery. When I first came I was a bit confused about a lot of things and maybe communication in terms of meals and rules etc could be better explained in a more compassionate manner. The other patients and staff are the most wonderful lovely people and I am so grateful to have met them.
