I went to Dr Gall last year after suffering and AFIB attack. This was a very scary time for me as I had never had this before. Dr Gall reassured me of what was happening to my heart and how he could get me back to the life I had before. I had an ablation and as soon as I came round I knew I felt different. I need to stress that sometimes the first procedure doesn't work ,and you may need another. But my procedure has worked ,I felt I had more energy and could breath . I finally had my life back and I cannot thank DR Gall enough for all his help and being so empathetic. The staff at Spire Hospital and Fiona Dr Gall secretary for being so understanding with my many emails. If you have ever had AFIB you will totally understand how it changes your life . I came of medication slowly.but I am now free of any medication. I am walking whenever I can,plus trying to make sure I stay fit and healthy. I cannot stress that having the ablation has changed my life. I hope you read this and get in touch if you ever feel like I did .

Dr Eduardo Di Cuffa is a great doctor. It’s difficult to summarise in words how appreciative I am for his time and his advice. I felt listened to without judgement, with all of my concerns being explored on a deeper level. He asked appropriate and explorative questions that pivoted the appointment to help bring clearer understanding and precedence to certain issues that I had otherwise maybe not been actively prioritising (but they definitely needed to be). He honoured my personal held beliefs when discussing treatment options, but also offered his insight and opinions. It created a safe environment, where refreshing and open conversations could be had where different thoughts and opinions could exist. He’s kind, intelligent, informative, empathetic, understanding and I really felt the desire he has to help. I cannot recommend him as a doctor enough.

Mr Paul Moxey

Vascular Surgeon

Following a scan Mr Moxey was quick to diagnose my problem (Peripheral Artery Disease in my aorta and leg arteries) and to identify where the blockages were and the degree of severity. He clearly explained the options for treating it and the risks of each approach. Together we decided that surgery would be the best option. At the time I was only able to walk 20 metres without having to rest, despite the fact I am normally very active. The results of the keyhole surgery were way better than I expected. I can walk for an hour or more without any difficulty, I can play fast, hard games of Padel and I can do my full gym workouts with multiple leg exercises. The operation was far from routine. It lasted 6 hours, during which time several techniques had to be tried to clear the blockages. I am absolutely delighted with the results.

I had a really positive and pleasant experience with the radiographers. There were two of them and they were both very friendly, helpful, patient, careful, knowledgeable and extremely professional. I was very happy with their care. What I was not happy about was the service from the MRI/Scan receptionists, this is the second time I’ve done a scan and each time the receptionists were not friendly, they we’re extremely direct showing no empathy and welcoming presence. They seemed busy with the conversation they were having with each other so I have found on both occasions their service has been very poor. The first time I assumed it was a one off but after experiencing it for the second time I feel it’s necessary to provide the feedback so something can be done about it.

I chose to see Dr Jayaseelan having read her biography on the BUPA app. From the moment we met and Dr Dipa introduced herself, I felt completely relaxed and happy to be in her care. We discussed how the condition had developed, the requirements that I had in terms of her opinion as to my fitness to return to work and ongoing treatment and medication. Throughout the consultation, absolutely everything was explained clearly and in plain language. I really can’t tell you how professional the whole experience was and I left the hospital in no doubt whatsoever that I was in excellent hands. Finally, just over an hour later, I received a written report of the consultation plus a letter that I’d requested for employment purposes.

From the outset, Dr Lee gave me all the confidence I needed, in order to proceed with a two stage ALIF and PLIF surgery. He explained my condition to me in detail and explained why surgery was the best option and I had complete faith that he was the right person to do this procedure. He is extremely kind and understanding and always takes the time to answer your questions, before, during and after surgery. He has such a reassuring bedside manner and he has a fantastic team who support you throughout the process. I am now 4 months post operations and he is still caring, responding and encouraging me through the course of my recovery. He really is a highly skilled surgeon and a very kind man.

Total Hip Replacement This has been my first experience having a major operation but I was guided through every step of the way by Dr Pool who prepared me for every eventuality and gave me peace of mind. I am now six weeks into recovery and feel fantastic - sure my leg is a little stiff and gets sore after a walk but that is all. Plus every day sees another improvement. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Dr Pool’s and his medical team and staff at Spire Hospital - well done everyone - what a great job !!!

The appointment was smooth and seemless even with a tube strike. Many of the staff who had taken care of me recognised me and took time to chat and find out how I was recovering. I felt they genuinely had an interest and delighted in much of m good news. All together, the staff there are brilliant. I would go out of my way to use the cromwell over many of my local hospitals just for the care our staff showed me.

Outstanding care by Dr Bellamy. What made it outstanding was the time he took to explain things, the way he was able to reassure whilst being realistic and how he helped in terms of understanding the “ next steps.” He is a rare find in medicine nowadays; a doctor who has a genuine interest in people. The team of nurses were friendly and competent, offering relaxed and informative patient care.

The structure was such that it covered the different points in an organised way which was good because left to my own devices the conversation could have easily gone off track.
