I first saw Dr. Patel earlier this year because I had suddenly developed tinnitus. After an MRI came back clear, he diagnosed me with something he called “functional ear syndrome”, suggesting biological, psychological or social changes and vestibular migraine as the probable cause. A few months later, things deteriorated. I began experiencing severe dizziness alongside an amplified tinnitus, so I returned for a follow-up appointment. I explained that my symptoms were getting worse, but I was once again reassured it was “functional ear syndrome” and was told that CBT might help. I left feeling as though my concerns weren’t being properly heard or investigated. Because my symptoms continued to escalate, I sought a second opinion. Further tests have now revealed that I actually have sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL), a condition that needs timely treatment. My hearing loss is mild to moderate and I am currently undergoing steroid treatment to try to preserve my hearing - a situation that might have been avoided or at least addressed much earlier if my symptoms had been taken more seriously in the first place. This review reflects my personal experience only. I felt dismissed and overlooked at a time when I really needed a clear and thorough medical assessment and I hope that by sharing this, others with similar symptoms are encouraged to advocate for themselves and seek additional input if something doesn’t feel right.

I had my first consultant appointment yesterday, regarding a hernia condition that was flagged by an NHS consultant earlier this year. I saw Dr Richard Novell. In the lead-up to the appointment, I had managed to get the referral paperwork, but no scan imagery. On meeting Dr Novell, he informed me that scans were useless anyway for Hernia diagnosis, and he then proceeded to examine me. After this, he told me that I didn’t have a hernia, when I asked about the fact that another specialist had examined me and thought differently, he agreed that doctors tend to give different answers. My issue, is not that he dosen’t agree with another consultants opinion (as well as the person who conducted Ultrasound) but that I am currently in pain, which is harming the quality of my life, and when asked about next steps to resolve this, he had nothing to offer, when pushed he offered to speak to a colleage for a second opinion. So in terms of empathy, it's pretty frustrating, and I have to be honest, it's a complete waste of time from my perspective.

I am so impressed and grateful with the service you provide. I can not fault anything at all! The running of your clinic was exceptional. On my recent appointment with you, I got stuck in heavy traffic and was 15 min late. I was so worried I would miss my appointment. I phoned the reception team to let them know and they were so helpful and put my mind at rest and said they would let you know and to still attend my appointment. On arrival you called me into your treatment room and again made me feel at ease. I received my treatment and you made me feel that the time constraint was not a problem. Sadly not the experience in the NHS. Your clinical care was outstanding and your manner was so refreshingly and reassuringly appreciated. We also discussed that you see some of my patients from the Lower limb service. You have given me your secretary’s email and if ever we require any advice with any of our complexed patients re infection you would be happy for us to contact you. Less than 3 weeks from the op I am still amazed how smooth and well it's all gone.. I am walking unaided at home and with one crutch outside. There is hardly any pain although still considerable swelling (normal at this stage). What can I say, for me the man is a magician, apart form being a really lovely person. I chose Mr Stafford after seeing at least three other surgeons over the last 3 years and that was the best decision I ever made. The second best was to book 7 days post op rehab in the Wellington North, which included hydrotherapy which I continue as an outpatient. The team is fantastic. I also recommend you watch and follow Mr Stafford's videos where he demonstrates pre-op an post-op exercises. I guarantee you won't find a better pair of legs on the entire YouTube!

Right hip replacement I was in a lot of pain before the surgery after meeting Mr Shankar Thiagarajah with his professional, open and friendly manor, he fully explained the procedure and put my mind at ease. Being a nervous person, I won’t lie I was petrified , but the whole process from initial consultation through to operation and recovery was without a doubt down to his experience and supporting team.. I had my surgery at the MEOC centre in Mexborough, a purpose built facility and specialist orthopaedic centre. His support team were excellent, a credit to Mr Thiagarajah. After 8 weeks, my life has returned back to normal, without pain and that is with my 10,000 steps daily ritual.

Mr Yamoah has changed my life and I will forever be grateful. For almost ten years my GP told me I had IBS and wouldn’t take my pain seriously. This time last year I reached breaking point and didn’t think I would ever feel better. I’m so glad I decided to seek private care. Mr. Yamoah is the first medical professional that has taken me seriously and not made me feel like a nuisance or hypochondriac. I am writing this review after my second video link conversation with Dr. Jeczmien. He didn't make me feel inadequate which enabled me to open up to him. It has taken me years to admit to myself that I needed help and I have finally found and taken the first step to hopefully stop chasing my tail and start to lead a normal life. If this review helps you to also take the first step to reach out for help I am over the moon for you. I was diagnosed as dyslexic at the age of 8years - I am now 46 years old. I didn't want another label but at least I now know I am ADHD a whole weight has been lifted and I am looking forward to try to have an organised life in the future.

The toilets were yet again filthy. For the second time I complained. I appreciate that nothing will change, but I discussed not only with the nurse, but also with front desk that the hygiene level was very low indeed. In a private facility this is a disgrace. Further, I found that any details given on a prior visit had not updated onto the current registration form. While I came in after 6.30 pm, i have seen the awful queues for registration at earlier times. Your reception person was on his own and was also on his own on the prior visit, and the paperwork took far too long. You need more than one person on the front desk. Overall, the clinic is poor.
