I met Chris Hoo at the end of May for my first appointment regarding breast reduction. I had researched Chris and found excellent reviews regarding his work. Even though I was slightly apprehensive I needed the surgery to help with my back pain. Chris and Pauline explained everything before the surgery including all the risks. I got my surgery at the end of July, was in overnight and then returned home to recover. I recovered well however I developed a redness on one breast after 5 weeks. I called the hospital and was seen the same day. Turned out I had an infection and was given a course of antibiotics. Chris was brilliant he scanned me and found a little pocket of fluid which needed drained. Within the week I had no redness or soreness and was feeling good. The next stage of recovery involved me massaging my scars to ensure they are minimised and to be honest they don’t look too bad. I increased my protein intake, take a protein shake every morning and a Vitamin C and Zinc drink to help with my recovery as they recommend.ed. I’m roughly 12 weeks post surgery, had my final appointment with Chris and I’m extremely happy with my results. I would like to thank Chris and his team they are absolutely amazing. I would also like to mention Paula the nurse who was with me before and after the operation and finally Pauline she was a star and helped me with the wound aftercare.

Initially at 33 Grosvenor place for Pathology, MRI and CT scans. Had blood tests done (excellent service) but due to IT issues could not have scans done. Staff went out of their way to update me and actually managed to get my CT scan rebooked at 24 Portland Place same day. Cannot say how impressed I was with both venues staff members coping with such a stressful and difficult situation that day due to IT outages. Both Grosvenor and Portland place staff members (medical and support) were professional and courteous in an obviously difficult situation for them. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the care and dedication they gave whilst they were working under such difficult circumstances and conditions. Poor souls had to endure manual paperwork (work in IT) and then collate this data afterwards. Bravo to you all on your excellent performance and service given today.

When I arrived I went to reception who told I had been recorded in and I would be called shortly. It was 10 minutes prior to my appointment date as I had been able to park relatively quickly. After a while a different staff member came across as she had noticed I had been waiting a long time. I said I had an appointment for 14:00 and was waiting to be called. It was 14:30. She went and check and said I hadn't been signed in. The consultant was finished seeing patients but Dr khan agreed to see me as it wasn't my fault that I had missed my appointment. It was a brief meeting and he wasn't as engaged as in a previous meeting.

Overall my inguinal hernia repair surgery and follow up was a very positive experience. Mr Ferguson has a calm and reassuring approach which made me feel far less anxious considering my anxiety levels can be off the scale when it comes to any surgical procedure and general anaesthetic. Throughout Mr Ferguson demonstrated kindness, empathy and care. In my view an exemplary surgeon and consultant, and a person who genuinely cares. A very safe pair of hands indeed. I am exceptionally grateful. Thank you.

My experience was very poor resulting in unnecessary angerplas procedure which could have been avoided if the diagnosis had been correct in the first place. It was found necessary to go privately to a specialist cardiologist consultant to enable a stress echcardiography to show that I did not have engina or any heart problem. This test should have been done within the Heart Clinic over a year ago when the problem was brought to your attention.

Easy to make an appointment at a convenient time. Seen on time. Felt reassured by the doctor, he quickly diagnosed the problems. Provided some immediate treatment and made a new booking for a minor procedure. He felt knowledgeable and reassuring which is what I needed as I have a poor family history of skin cancer. I went away with a clear plan of action and this was followed up a few hours later by a written confirmation.

I was aware the appointment could take some time but i was only there an hour and 20 minutes which was good. Excellent on all fronts. Both eyes with new NHS lenses. Quick, efficient. Great results. I’m short sighted and was offered lenses that still gave good vision for reading and moderate distance . I opted for standard lenses which give good distance vision . This does mean reading glasses are needed. I’m getting used to that, but I’m glad I can now see distance.
