From the moment I stepped inside, the environment felt calm and thoughtfully designed, creating a sense of safety that made it easy to settle in. The reception area was quiet, classy and elegant, and the overall atmosphere conveyed a level of respect and attentiveness that immediately put me at ease. What truly elevated the experience was my session with Dr. Olena Edwards. Her approach combines exceptional clinical expertise with a rare ability to connect on a human level. Throughout the session, she listened with genuine presence, care and offered insights that were both clear and deeply resonant. Dr. Edwards has a remarkable talent for explaining complex emotional patterns in a way that feels accessible and empowering. Rather than offering generic guidance, she tailored the conversation to my specific concerns, helping me understand not just what I was feeling, but why — and what meaningful steps I could take moving forward. It’s evident that she brings both skill and heart to her work, and that combination makes a profound difference. The setting itself further enhanced the experience. I attended the Neurology Clinic at Cleveland Clinic, Portland Place London for a second medical opinion (covered by my insurance) and I had ALL medical reports with me. The booking process was straightforward, and the reception team were excellent—very responsive and professional, with great customer service. I also appreciated that the clinic arranged for my MRI images to be transferred ahead of my appointment, so the consultant would have access to my medical history. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with how the consultation itself went. I came with up-to-date MRI scans (completed recently through an NHS neuroscience unit), along with relevant medical reports and test results. However, the doctor did NOT properly review my MRI images, stating they were “bad quality,” and instead suggested I pay privately for repeat MRI scans at Cleveland Clinic London 3Tesla MRI scanner (my all mri's were done on 3Tesla scanners). He also recommended another lumbar puncture, again privately, despite the fact that I have already had one. Overall, I left with the strong impression that the focus was on arranging further paid tests rather than reviewing the information already available and providing a clear second opinion. In the end, I did not receive any meaningful second medical opinion, no conclusions were offered, and I felt I had not been listened to. To be fair, Dr Wallace Brownlee was polite, kind, and his manner was professional. The neurological examination was fine. However, I still left without any explanation or diagnostic opinion, despite no recent change in my clinical picture that would obviously justify repeating tests before offering an assessment. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr Wallace Brownlee for someone seeking a genuine second opinion.

Admin efficiency Things didn't get off to a great start when there seemed to be an issue regarding what my insurance would cover, even though I had received two confirmations from the insurer over the phone and one confirmation by email. I felt a bit like a criminal and that I was lying about the treatment being covered. In the end, the insurer had to phone Practice Plus direct to sort it out, because no-one would believe that I was telling the truth. I've never come across this problem before at the Spire or the Nuffield. Usually the admin trail works very smoothly. Cleanliness The carpet in the waiting area is dirty and is covered in tea/coffee stains. There were pubic hairs on the toilet seat in one of the toilets by the waiting area. Not great at all. Waiting Time I am a private patient and I usually use the Spire in Bristol or the Nuffield, which run to time. My appointment for an injection was 30minutes late. Unacceptable. Staff To be fair, some of the staff are lovely. But some of the staff are downright rude. When I went to speak to one of the receptionists after waiting for my appointment for over 20minutes, I simply asked to check that I was on the system. The answer "yes". Oh I said, it's just that I haven't been called yet. Is there a delay? The answer "yes" - and a roll of the eyes to say "yes and your problem with that is??" I have to have another appointment at some point, so let's hope that my next experience is better.

Excellent bedside manner with a true desire to get to the bottom of a problem. Free from the often occurring "I am so brilliant vibes" that I at times got from other consultants. Refreshing down to earth, approachable, very friendly. Most importantly, excellent listening skills, does not try to convenience you of a diagnosis after only hearing a quarter but appears to be thorough before making up his mind. Excellent communicator, who gets a patient fully involved, showing pictures to explain and explaining what he sees on a screen. I initially was a bit apprehensive thinking, hmmm has not got 3 decades of experience like some practitioners I saw in the past. On reflection, a good thing, still greatly motivated to make a difference and passionate about what he does. Deos not leave you feel watching the clock (he went over time, thank you) or rushed. Overall so far a positive experience (first consultation). I usually don't leave long feedbacks but if someone "goes the extra mile", so will I. Most importantly, if you had negative experiences before with consultants causing you pain/flare ups in the night and following day(s) due to handling you roughly during an examination, then give Dr Raiman a try. He very carefully moved my limbs with utmost consideration during the necessary examination, which helps building trust.

I had a really positive experience at The Harborne Hospital. I was greeted warmly on arrival and was actually seen before my appointment time, which was very much appreciated. My consultant Mr Leung truly listened to me and took the time to understand the full picture of how I’ve been feeling. He was extremely thorough, and for the first time in a long while, I left feeling hopeful — hopeful not only that my pain can be better managed, but also that I may finally get a clear diagnosis of what is actually happening to me. I really appreciated how carefully and thoughtfully everything was explored. Every member of staff I met was kind, professional, and supportive. The level of care and compassion shown throughout my visit was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this service.

After not getting an appointment with our GP I decided to book an appointment late on in the afternoon when I became concerned with my child. I was able to book online with ease and had the appointment for 35 minutes later. The staff were welcoming and it wasn’t long in the waiting room before we were seen. Fiona made my child and myself feel at ease and did a thorough check. She even offered a follow up MOT check the next day which left me very reassured. This is the third time I’ve used the clinic and would recommend to anyone needing piece of mind when they can’t access their own GP unfortunately..

I have had various symptoms of perimenopause over the last year or so but it came to a head a few months ago when i had a severe panic attack and seemed to develop anxiety. I am finding this difficult to cope with and the GP didn't seem to help me. I met with Dr Colquhoun and she was lovely, provided me with alot of information and advice and took me and my symptoms seriously. As a result I now have a course of action and have had HRT prescribed and a coil fitted. Whilst this is all new to me, i am feeling very positive about this plan and hopeful that I can start to feel like myself again!

I had a 2 level spinal fusion and decompression carried out in 2 stages to relieve my sciatica. Mr Molloy had been extremely thorough in his initial examination and identified a problem previously missed by another spinal surgeon. My operations have been a total success and I have no sciatica whatsoever. Mr Molloy was meticulous in organising and overseeing my recovery to ensure there were no complications. In my opinion he is a brilliant surgeon who looks beyond the operation in hand in order to mitigate problems that might otherwise occur at a later stage.

The meeting I had with Miss Phyllis recently involved going through the different stages since the procedure on the 14th of November 2024. Miss Phillips reviewed my hand including the incisions and also the movement of my thumb. Miss Phyllis explained to me that the surgery was a success and that I should continue with hand therapy in order to gain more movement and strength in my thumb. Miss Phyllis explained that I would no longer require to attend her clinic and that I should continue to participate in physiotherapy sessions

The procedure itself he made me feel at ease and provided excellent aftercare. I would definitely recommend.
