I have just returned home after a full hip replacement. We were recommended to St Joseph’s and I can’t speak highly enough of the team and the care I received. Many things stand out. The friendly, yet professional ambience, the obviously good relations and communications across all staff. Although my visit lasted only just over 24 hours, at no time did anything feel rushed or ‘conveyor belt’. Just well organised with a feeling that I was being very well looked after. The room and facilities were first class, comfortable and super clean. The operation itself was clearly explained and went without hitch. There was a lot of experience in that room, not least of the lead consultant and anaesthetist. Recovery was also much quicker than I expected, with excellent follow on from the Physio team and 6 sessions into the future as part of the package. I would finally like to express my thanks to all the staff who have made such a positive difference for me.

I had my fifth planned C-section with Dr. Sotiris Nicholas, and understandably I was quite stressed going into it. From the very beginning, however, he did everything possible to put me at ease and truly made the experience positive and reassuring. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful—for example, he avoided me having to endure a double needle prick when the lady came to collect the baby’s cord blood. Throughout the procedure, he explained every step clearly, letting me know exactly what he was doing and what to expect, which helped me feel calm and in control. As a lovely bonus, he also took beautiful photos for us in the operating theatre, which we will treasure. I am extremely grateful for his care, professionalism, and kindness, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for such an important moment.

Dr Steadman provided outstanding care throughout my assessment and treatment. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained every test and result in a clear, reassuring way, and never made me feel rushed. His calm manner and expertise in cardiac imaging gave me great confidence that I was receiving the best possible evaluation of my heart health. From the initial consultation through to follow‑up, the whole process was extremely well organised and efficient, and communication with his team (including appointment booking and results) was excellent. Thanks to his thorough approach and clear advice, I now feel reassured and understand exactly how to manage my condition going forward. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Steadman to anyone needing a cardiologist.

Mr Himaz Marzook

I am extremely happy with the care and surgical work provided by Mr Marzook. He was professional, approachable, and took great care to explain clearly what the procedure would involve, which gave me a great deal of confidence going into surgery. His confidence and expertise were fully borne out by the outcome. My hernia has been successfully repaired despite being a complex case requiring full abdominal wall reconstruction and mesh repair, following two previous unsuccessful surgeries. As well as resolving the hernia itself, I have also experienced additional gastrointestinal benefits as a result of the repair, including a noticeable improvement in the gastroparesis I had previously been experiencing. I am delighted with the outcome and cannot recommend Mr Marzook highly enough.

Matt Frost was terrific. I'm surprised he wasn't a senior ages ago! But congrats all the same! He's worth every bit of it. Interestingly my hearing had improved slightly from last year and I seriously wonder if this was because I had complete confidence in him. Others always good but Matt inspires confidence in a special way. He also explained the most recent Phonak model clearly so that despite my age and life expectancy, I'm going to give it a try despite the cost. Finally he adjusted my current aids and there is notable improvement. in my hearing. Thanks Matt - and all of you in the office who are always helpful

My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future

Professional, caring and respectful staff. I have already completed a survey which pointed out two negatives amongst an otherwise perfect experience. I was not offered any pain relief the first night after my op, which I understand I should have asked for. However it is known that everyone experiences pain at this point so would have thought pain relief would have been automatic. Also, while I was having a procedure the nurse put a 'No Entry' sign on my door but a member of the catering staff knocked and entered. I did call to come in but presumed it was a nurse.

From the moment I first made contact, Mollie has been extremely helpful and supportive and our son's assessment meeting with Kiran was great. His assessment report is very thorough and we all feel is a very accurate report on his difficulties thus far. Thank you - you have given us hope that there is al way forward, after an extremely frustrating and dispiriting few years since his previous NHS support fell apart.

The surgery is the 2nd cataract operation I have had in 3 months. It is painless and the outcome is unimaginable. Mr Shafiq is a highly skilled surgeon, he has literally turned my vision back to my late 20's before I was required to ear glasses. The facility is far superior to your average NHS hospital. The staff are dedicated, friendly and professional. They are patient and nothing is too much trouble if you have questions or need reassurance. This has been an amazing experience

The atc was very chaotic ( I can understand as day ward) but lack of info for relatives was bad. Main recovery ward was amazingly caring and sensitive. Can not fault the nurses ( student) on G5 absolutely brilliant. No matter how busy they were always patient and sympathetic. As a parent of a 17 yesr old having major surgery I was comfortable leaving him. The surgeon was also amazing and caring he also made sure to include me ( even though patient classed as adult)

I had top surgery with Mr Grover. The initial online appointment was very informative, he ran through all my options, what I wanted and what the risks were. He covered this again at my first in person appointment, was very friendly. On the day of my surgery he came to see how I was feeling about the surgery, whether I had any concerns, and answered any last questions I had. I'm very happy with the results of the surgery and would recommend Grover.

Beautiful , bright, clean patient friendly environment. The staff on reception have a lovely welcoming way about them, made a nervous patient feel less so. I waited a few minutes before being called by Dr. Very pleasnt person , who listened and then explained the procedure so i felt a lot less anxious about it . I am so pleased i chose the Candover clinic and finances permitting would use them again. I now reccomend to friends and family.

A routine check on my progress with respiratory issues. I was able to report much improved breathing thanks to Dr Nimmos referral to the Royal Brompton Hospital in January. Their advice, which I have followed carefully, has led to a much more stable respiratory state of health with only two interventions in 12 months of prednisolone and Doxycycline.

Mr Emad Shenouda

I had an appointment with Mr Shenouda because of continuing pain and discomfort following a spinal procedure two years ago. Mr. Shenouda discussed the probable reason for this, and arranged scans on my back, and in his follow-up appointment confirmed that his initial findings had been correct. I am now waiting for further recommendations.

My extensive research to find the “right”dermatologist paid off when I found Dr Alband. She is patient, kind, understanding and of course excellent in her field. In my experience Dr Alband goes above and beyond to support you both during consultations and after. I am very grateful for her care and can’t recommend her enough..
