I saw Mr Chahal yesterday after struggling with ankle problems since pregnancy, and more recently suffering two injuries that have caused my ankle to give way without warning. The pain and swelling have become overwhelming, especially from midday into the evening, and I finally knew it was time to seek help. From the moment I met Mr Chahal, I felt completely at ease. He was incredibly kind, calm, and transparent, taking the time to explain his thoughts clearly and compassionately. There was absolutely no pressure to make any decisions, and as someone who struggles with anxiety, this meant more to me than I can put into words. He explained possible causes and treatment options in a way that was reassuring rather than alarming, and I never once felt panicked. Sadly, some consultants can make you feel as though you’re being dramatic or exaggerating your symptoms, but Mr Chahal was the complete opposite. There was no judgement, only understanding, respect, and genuine care. I felt truly listened to, and that alone was incredibly comforting. Mr Chahal is everything you would hope for in a consultant. Calming, honest, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He has a quiet confidence that immediately builds trust, and it’s clear he is an expert in his field. I had a bilateral cataract operation, performed by Mr. Deshmukh. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The technicians who did all the assessment checks (separate and earlier appointment) were excellent. At this appointment I met Mr Deshmukh who put me at ease and we discussed the best replacement lenses to suit my needs. For me the premium lenses were the right choice. On the day of the operation the hospital staff were brilliant - professional and good humoured. The operation was completely painless and took much less time than I had anticipated. The immediate aftercare was been superb and the nurse talked me through what I had to do and just as importantly avoid doing. I was given some eye drops to use for the next 4 weeks. You quickly become expert at using them. Following the operation my eyesight was as good as I can remember it ever being. I then returned for a follow up consultation with Mr Deshmukh who confirmed that my recovery was going very well and my vision is better than 20/20. I have worn spectacles since my early teens and this is an incredible outcome. I can now proceed with my training to become a driving instructor.

Lovely helpful doctor, didn't feel rushed, was listened too. Only reason no 5 star was hard to get through to reception and the inconvenience of being sent a letter for telephone appointment instead of agreed face to face appointment and not being able to get through to reception until the 11th hour to confirm and endure we had the correct appointment. Hospital was clean and looked well kept and staff were very friendly and attentive.
