Newmedica Leeds. 5* Care from start to finish. My optician at Specsavers suggested it was time to consider cataract surgery and I was offered an NHS referral to my choice of providers. I chose Newmedica Leeds and just over 2-3 weeks later had an initial consultation at Newmedica. Unfortunately my high blood pressure caused some problems and delayed the first cataract operation to my left eye, after 4-5 weeks weeks I had surgery on my first eye and 5-6 weeks later my second eye was done. Without exception all of the staff I met at Newmedica were friendly, helpful, and very caring. The consultant who carried out the procedure on both eyes (Mr. Kamran Khan) took the time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. During the procedures he was reassuring and calmly explained what was happening. Both procedures were carried out successfully and my sight is so much better now. I would like to give a big thank you to Mr Kamran Khan and his team and my Optometrist Summer Elyoussfi and her team for all the care and attention I received. I have no hesitation in recommending Newmedica Leeds.

St Giles Physiotherapy provided excellent care for my painful wrist, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing physiotherapy in Northampton. From the outset Georgia understood my issue which meant we could maximize the appointment time for hands-on treatment. She used a variety of different techniques during the session, which made the treatment feel thorough and targeted rather than one‑dimensional. I was also given clear follow-up advice and tailored exercises to continue at home, which has really helped my recovery between appointments. Everyone I dealt with at the clinic was caring, friendly and genuinely interested in helping me, which made the whole experience feel very supportive as well as professional.

Professor Akolekar has been absolutely Fantastic at every appointment all the way throughout our pregnancy. I was really struggling with anxiety in this pregnancy following recurrent miscarriages, and I have never felt more looked after, which has really helped me to be able to enjoy this pregnancy, knowing we have a fantastic consult looking after our baby. Appointments are always on time and very detailed, time is always made to answer any questions fully and I always leave feeling confident and reassured. The communication with Natalia is always great to book and arrange appointments. This clinic really go above and beyond and o couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Dr Alex Hadley carried out implant procedures on me. He took the time to explain what was going to happen and reassured me when I had questions. I found him to be very caring and I am pleased to say the final result is absolutely amazing.. Arrived 10 minutes before my xray appointment, was checked in straight away and told to sit and wait. The waiting area was empty, staff were all in one room talking about what generation they are (Gen X, Boomer etc). 40 minutes later I went and asked when I’ll be seen as I’ve paid £210 in order to be seen quickly vs going via NHS and the lady on the desk said she will find out. She came back and told me that they are just in a meeting and I will be seen soon. I arrived at 11:50 for a 12:00 appointment and wasn’t seen until 12:50. Absolutely ridiculous and will never go to again, wish I didn’t pay upon arrival as I would’ve walked out otherwise.

Came for a pre op, lovely staff and lovely pre op Nurse, however I was sent for bloods, I wasn’t asked if a trainee could take them, she tried twice which was painful, before the nurse then took them on the third go in my other arm. Totally understand the need for training however, I had made it known that I hated needles and was not a good person to practice on, I unfortunately got up feeling very dizzy and sick, which for me was unnecessary.

Had a pre-assessment with a wonderful Nurse, I feel terrible for forgetting her name, but she was fantastic. Did blood tests, didn’t even feel a scratch. And she did many other tests, blood pressure, ecg, swabs etc. she explained everything so clearly, so professional, but above all this, she was one of the friendliest people I’ve met. Such a lovely young lady. She saw me bang on my appointment time. No waiting. Perfect experience.
