I saw Alex Townsend for a running injury on my foot/ankle via Bupa. He was very professional, provided great care, and was excellent at communicating his thought process as he inspected my injury. He was efficient and determined in getting me the necessary follow ups booked timely when I told him I had an upcoming race. He referred me to Dr. Burdon who was also very professional and provided great care. After our follow up, Alex provided me with useful training resources for foot taping and running. He performed walking and running gait analysis on me. It was insightful to hear his analysis, and it formed the basis for him to refer me for additional foot physio appointments to strengthen my foot and minimize chance of future injuries.

My experience has been outstanding. From the first phone call to leaving the thornbury hospital. Hannah the centre manager and Farqi treated me amazingly. I felt safe in the cleanest, calmest environment. The information I received was top notch and I have never experienced such kindness to me. Dr Ibrahim was very kind and I felt that someone was finally listening to me after many months. The staff at the Royal Hallamshire, particularly Nancy and Lisa also went the extra mile and again were very kind. It would really help to recieve more accurate information on the assessment procedure before attending. Details such as if parent remains with child, if appointment also needs a seperate parent meeting and an indicator of when diagnosis would be made. It didn’t really tie up with pdf sent on welcome email. Would be better to schedule in parent appointment at a similar time as first child assessment appointment, or/ and make it clear this is the procedure. Phoning up Harley mind care prior to attending did not help me to understand & actually conflicted with what happened at appointment.

Having seen a different surgeon initially, it was reassuring to be seen by someone who listened and was sympathetic. A completely different experience, warm, and empathetic. All communication was clear and all arrangements were smooth and timely. Everything was explained and happened as planned. I felt confident in Mr Michael's manner and approach. The surgery was excellent and I am so pleased to be back to my normal activities. I have had almost no pain post operatively and I shall return to Mr Michael when the time comes for my other hip to be replaced.

The recent visit was very informative. Mr Hawary explains the results concisely and at a level a none medical person understands. All the meetings have been informal, even noticing when one of us had a worried look. He explained the diagnosis, showing us the results and explaining what they ment alleviating any concerns. He also explained what I should be doing next, ie pelvic floor exercises and sent a link to the document that explains how to do them; which is very useful. I am extremely happy with all the consultations we have had with Mr Hawary.

I came in to see Urja after experiencing months of tightness in the body. I also had a chest infection a couple months before and it left me with a lot of tightness in my chest/lungs and I wasn’t able to breathe at full capacity. Immediately after my session, my body felt like it was 99% back to baseline and I could take a full deep breath again. Emotionally, I also felt so much more free and relieved. You get so much more than just physio with Urja. It’s a complete mind, body, soul healing experience.

My session with Mr Hunt was a very positive and, dare I say, pleasurable experience. I came in nervous and anxious. He calmed me down very smoothly and took me through the scan results in a professional and friendly manner. The empathy and diagnosis to me regarding the excision of my wright wrist ganglion were second to none. And the surgery performed by Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon went without any problems or after effects, and I couldn’t praise his medical skills highly enough. There are the no remnants of my wrist ganglion whatsoever , and the slight scar after the surgery is barely visible now and will probably have disappeared entirely within about 6 months.

Dr Paviour was a good listener, was courteous and efficient. I was impressed by the speed with which he sent the post consultation report. The reception staff were welcoming. However the link to download the report as PDF downloaded a zip file, which when I opened it, did not give me the opportunity to access the report. I eventually worked out a way to save the text on my computer.

Dr Raj made me very comfortable and at ease. I felt heard as he listened to my all my concerns. He straightaway knew what could be the problem. He's very knowledgeable. He took his time to explain thoroughly which was pleasant. To take away any doubt i requested for an MRI. He also referred me to a physio with pilates knowledge. Amazing. My follow up was equally pleasant.

Friendly professional staff and good facilities. But a shame that an administrative error meant that I was told to be present for surgery a week after my preoperative assessment only to find that it had not been scheduled correctly and had to be rescheduled, causing considerable inconvenience.

I got there at the appointment time I had been messaged and it was deemed too late as the clinic was not informed of my changed time from 09.40 to 11.45.. also the doctor I saw was not one that dealt with my condition although he did promise to refer me to another one who does deal with it.
