It is extremely unpleasant being treated as a cash cow. I had diagnostics for cataracts at Bath St on 18 December 2025. It seemed organised and the consultant, Mr Rajesh Deshmukh (RD), answered my questions and so did his practice manager Paula Jessup (PJ). I subsequently asked for written information on the kind of lenses RD recommended and I had agreed to. They are EROV lenses. When I asked for it, PD's response was that RD had talked to me, I said I couldn't remmber everything and my eyes were dilated so I couldn't see information he showed me on his phone. The written information was not provided. in advance of the surgery. PJ directed me to RD's website. The information on the website writes briefly on product benefits, but doesn't explain how they work. I had bilateral cataract surgery on 2 February at New Cavendish. St. Thgere was no explanation, written or verbal, of the process, eg pre-med, med, timing of procedure, rest afterwards. (There is a very brief outline in PD's email of timing). People came and did things to me as the 'animal for slaughter'. Before the procedure, I was given a paper form to fill in for registration. I had already done this at Bath St. Surely the information is on the system. I needed to find my BUPA number and authorisation code again, GP Practice etc. I also had received a pre-procedure call when this information could have been checked etc. For several days, I couldn't read the written instructions provided after the procedure. A nurse did discuss them however I hope it is understandable that I didn't remember all of them. Additionally I couldn't read the numbers on the eye drops packing for several days. The second bullet point on the instructions says 'your vision will be blurry for the rest of the day and possibly the next week'> This is repeated as the 7th bullet point on the instructions on the second page. The instructions have not been prepared with this in mind. On the first page, the instructions also says if you feel any pain or discomfort in the eyes etc please call the clinical helpline number above. The number is not on the document. On the second page, last bullet it says, '....If you vision (there is a typo it should say your vision) becomes significantly more blurred etc, please contact your consultant. On the phone PD, said if you think you have an infection go straight to A&E. All of this is unclear. Overall the instructions are presented in an illogical and careless way. The day after my surgery PD phoned around 6.30 pm to ask about how I was. I would suggest this is too late in the day for a recovering patient, and the instructions say ' we would like you to go home and take it easy'. She also said she would send a prescription for further drops to my GP practice. On Thursday, I phoned to let her know that the GP Practice said they haven't received them. Her response was, if you have received them, they have. Fortunately I had taken a printout of the prescription to my GP surgery and they logged it into the system and have actioned. I do not think the response from PD was helpful and it could be called defensive. There appears to be no-one who takes responsibility for the patient and ensures that they are looked after.

Dr Anderco was v Professional , empathetic and respectful of my elderly retired status as a medical colleague usually difficult patients! the consultation was skilled and she discussed my symptoms , worries past history in an unprejudiced manner as I was using medical jargon! and my opinion was also taken into consideration the next step was discussed and explained and after seeking my consent, Nasal endoscopy was carried out with care and in an experienced manner and with due regard for my comfort . Did not rush through the procedure . The Registrar sitting in the consultation with my consent was being taught and shown on video not only the physical diagnostic appropriate structures but also Patient communication , comfort care working as a team with staff as a doctor by example of a Senior and v experienced HOD and Staff working with Dr Anderco were pleasant helpful and happy working with her and attended to me the patient attentively Management plans were discussed and follow up to be arranged with results , availability of interim access too explained I Felt at ease from the beginning welcome till the end and very satisfied with the consultation The Registrar sat in the consultation with my consent . I cannot recommend Dr Karoshi highly enough. From my very first consultation through to my now 2nd hysteroscopic fibroid resection with him, he has been exceptional. What stood out most was how informative, compassionate, and supportive he was at every stage. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I felt reassured and involved in decisions especially around preserving my fertility, which was incredibly important to me. His calm manner, genuine care, and expertise made a potentially overwhelming experience feel manageable and safe. I felt truly listened to and cared for not just as a patient but as a person, after so many visits to other gynae’s who either misdiagnosed or didn’t take further action based on my concerns Dr Karoshi was my light at the end of the tunnel and has given me hope after so many years of heartache and difficulty. I am deeply grateful for his skill and kindness and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing gynaecological care.

Dr Miss Tania Adib has accompanied me very thoughtfully through my perimenopause treatment. She explained everything in a very clear and understandable way and took the time to answer all of my questions. She fine-tuned my hormonal therapy for perimenopause with small but very effective changes. The switch to bioidentical progesterone at night has notably reduced my sleep disruptions and night-time hot flushes, and I am now sleeping much better. The addition of testosterone has been truly life changing for me: together with improved sleep, it has restored my previous energy levels and my libido, and I feel much more like myself again. I believe testosterone is something that should be prescribed specifically for women when appropriate, as its impact can be profound, and I would definitely recommend considering this option under specialist guidance.

I went as an NHS referral for cataracts and they explained about the various options for both NHS and private. As I work full time and do a lot of computer work I decided to pay to have Rayone Galaxy toric lenses. I am so pleased with the result. After wearing glasses since early teens I am now glasses free! Mr Injarie and all the staff at the clinic were friendly and professional and made you feel at ease. Mr Injarie took time to explain everything and obviously is a brilliant surgeon. I can't thank them enough. I was so nervous about having eye surgery but from start to finish I felt in very safe hands. I would highly recommend.

Apart from a reception that were unaware of their visitors - the building and facilities were excellent. Dr. Bradley is a practitioner who has a broad grasp of all areas of HRT treatment. Her extensive knowledge makes you feel very confident about the decisions you make with the doctors assistance. She is never rushed and allows extensive discussion about past and present research. I am extremely impressed by her professionalism. I left after my consultation feeling I had explored all the areas I had questions about but came away with a lot of new information.

For each of the initial consultation, surgery and post-op follow-up Mr Crabtree provided an excellent service, instilling confidence through friendly yet consise communication. My hernia repair operation was very much a success and my speedy recovery I believe was down to the surgical skills of Mr Crabtree. It would have been nice for me to have had a brief meeting with Mr Crabtree on the day (the post-operation) to discuss a concern. That said, the nurse looking after me was able to convey that all had gone well and that no complications were envisaged.

Dr Ahmed Shalabi

Dr Shalabi was calm and caring. He listened to my symptoms, looked into them further than anyone had ever done, and suggested some treatment options based on the test results. After years of being told my symptoms were "just IBS and all the results were within normal range", he suggested some additional tests and a subsequent treatment plan which has genuinely changed my quality of life. Dr Shalabi seemed to look at the symptoms and the data in conjunction, which seems to be a novel idea. I can not thank him enough.

I attended a pre-op consultation this morning with Timothy Williams ahead of my Mid foot fusion and Bunion correction in March. He was very informative and explained everything in detail about my up and coming procedure. He outlined the risks of surgery and my 6 week healing process to myself and my Hubby. Mr Williams is an absolute Gentleman and has carried out a few procedures for me over the past 5 years. He certainly knows his stuff and ive recommend him to a few people too with foot issues.

I have had a lot of gastrointestinal symptoms over the years and I am grateful to have finally found a gastroenterologist that can help me. Superb bedside manner. I was looked after incredibly well by Dr Fitzpatrick, and the entire endoscopy team. His PA is also excellent always there on the end of the phone. Highly recommended.

Dr Raza explained pain I was experiencing in left hip was not from arthritis but from trochanteric bursitis and gave me an injection on the day. I cannot thank or rate this clinic enough for their constant support. The availability of appointments is fantastic. The staff at reception and Dr Abdel have been amazing so friendly. The clinic is always clean and tidy. I would pick coming here over trying to get an appt through my local GP.
