Mr Al-Obaidi explained things very clearly at both of my pre-operation visits. (Unfortunately I had an infection in my big toe nails the first time round so the operation needed to be postponed until said infection was completely gone) On the day of the operation I saw him twice - once in my room to go through everything again and then in the operating theater prior to me being put to sleep. When I had my first hip done I had a general anesthetic and then had low blood pressure when I came round after the operation. This time I had a spinal anesthetic and was put to sleep - blood pressure was ok, no swollen knee like last time and a much quicker recovery at home. So I am glad that this was offered and if I ever need an operation again I will definitely request it. For my six weekly appointment I had an x ray so that he could check that all was healing well. I am Betty's daughter. My mum has mobility issues. Getting her from the car park into the diagnostics centre was incredibly difficult. We borrowed a wheel chair from the helpful car park attendant. But it was raining so heavily that by the time we got inside my 87yr old mum was soaked to the skin. She had to sit in wet clothing for 4.5hrs until I got her home and changed. Luckily the car park attendant helped us back to the car at the end of her procedure. You REALLY need a drop-off right zone at the door to the centre, with seats inside to help relatives get their lives ingress in safely.. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, but even with their help, this was a very stressful visit fdue to lack of access and horrendous weather conditions.

It was a lovely experience having worked for Nuffield Hospital in the very building. I hardly recognised it as it was many years ago. But still remains a lovely building. I was waiting for a HM Courts' Service job at the time. I was very pleased with Mr Arun Khajuria, he explained my knees problem thoroughly and I have great confidence in him. I look forward to seeing him in attending my second appointment. All the staff were so helpful to me but, only thing Patient Tansport, very late picking me up and suffered a very painful leg from sitting so long. In one position. I accept that this is inevitable and can happen with this Service as they have a number of patients to get to their various appointments.

Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital

I had a number of appointments to see Mr Warr at the Nuffield, and it was always administered well and on time. On the day of the surgery there was initially some confusion on which hospital room I was assigned to but that was cleared up fairly quickly - it was 7am so perhaps a beginning of shift handover issue. The nurses were caring, professional, attentive and very friendly before and after the operation. The anaesthetist visited and was very clear explaining the process, friendly and reassuring. A very good experience. I also appreciated that my parents could be with me before the operation as I'm quite young and not used to being in hospital. Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

Nurse caused me to bruise during a painful blood test. I always have trouble with veins appearing during tests and told the nurse which one tends to work the best; nurse insisted on going for a different one, causing pain and bruising. Nurse also used clumsy and offensive language when talking about another patient: “A man came in the other day - he’s a ‘they’ - he…”. Given that your clinic markets your service extensively to trans and non-binary people, I find it surprising that your staff wouldn’t see a problem with openly and deliberately misgendering a customer. Please do better to avoid making customers like me feel alienated.

Dr Kenny has been nothing but brilliant. From the initial discussion to confirm my cancer diagnosis, the pre/post op consultations & the surgery itself I have always found Dr Kenny to be extremely compassionate & knowledgeable, making myself & my husband feel safe, at ease & able to make informed decisions. At all times I felt heard, with Dr Kenny always taking the time to listen and answer my questions & providing the reassurance I needed. I am Now currently recovering from a successful Surgery & i would highly recommend his services to anyone else needing surgery. Thank you again.

Dr Sam Botchey

Dr Botchey helped my back / hip symptoms with an open minded, knowledgeable and approachable manner which I enjoyed. At times even when prompted for answers, managing my expectations to recovery could have been explained and outlined more clearly which is also the case for the physio aspect of the visits. Overall I’ve experienced good care and significant improvement which is a big positive and Dr Botchey’s final summary sounds quite confident that the prognosis looks promising , but I do feel somewhat unsure of what to expect with ongoing full recovery.

In general, their service is excellent and easy to navigate. The only minor inconvenience is a small systems organisation issue. Data collection forms are sent as soon as follow-up appointments are scheduled (6 months in advance), and so the information would be out of date if completed at this stage. A workaround is to email for a new form link shortly before the appointment date, and to their credit they are always happy to comply with this.

Overall my first appointment at Spire Lea hospital was a satisfactory experience. At the reception I was quickly registered as an insurance patient. The waiting time was not very long. The duration of the appointment was long enough to cover all my questions, explain my problem and get a gynaecology examination by the doctor with help of a female assistant. The doctor explained to me a treatment to follow to alleviate my symptoms.

Dr. Melvyn Adjei was kind, compassionate, and patient during the consult. He took my issue very seriously and prescribed medication, which we discussed briefly during my consult (and which I strongly preferred as opposed to conservative treatment). I felt at ease during the consult and subsequent physical examination, and I feel confident that I can contact the practice if my problem deteriorates.

Everyone was friendly and the place clean but one of the receptions in radiology was very load speak so you heard all her conversations and calls clear as day. You are asked to to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment but I did have to do anything just wait long as I didn’t get in on time and I can only guess they ran late as two people arrived after and went in before me.

Really knew his stuff and what exactly would help my back and also gave me exercises to help ease future pain. Massage was excellent - have previously found it can be really painful for my niggly back but Harrison knew exactly what was needed/what would help. Having a physio do a sports massage makes a massive difference. He was brilliant.
