Initial experience poor. Arrived at reception, receptionist was on the phone. When call ended she walked away to do some admin. No 'Be with you in a moment'. When she came back, no smile and 'Welcome to One Hatfield' Just 'Have you been here before?' 'No' Well here's a form to fill in'. Felt a nuisance getting in the way of her important phone calls and administration work. Waiting area tired looking, main circular seating area looked like it needed a good clean. Strange seating arrangement with very narrow gaps to get through into main area. People called for their appointments from different directions and hard to hear names being called. Consultant seen was excellent, which raised the end experience overall. But not enough to make up for the indifferent receptionist.

After my atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis, I booked an appointment with Dr Davies at the Park Hospital. He explained the treatment options: medication, a cardioversion (an electrical reset of the heart), or an ablation. His manner and experience are second to none. He helped me understand the options and I decided upon the RF ablation using the new state of the art facility at the Park. Dr Davies and his brilliant team carried out the procedure and the ITU aftercare team were equally impressive. I’m very pleased to say it went well and heart is now back in normal sinus rhythm, and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Davies and everyone at the Park Hospital.

I came to see Dr Agarwal for a second opinion having been denied cataract surgery elsewhere. He tested every part of my vision, checked all aspects of eye health and then very kindly explained that I did in fact need cataract surgery. All his explanations were clear, easy to follow and delivered kindly and warmly. Cataract surgery on both eyes was done within a couple of weeks. The whole experience was very patient centred. Lots of reassurance from all members of the team and a surprisingly stress free experience. At a follow up appointment three days later Dr Agarwal was warm and genuinely delighted to show me the massive improvements to my eyesight.

Since moving to Bath in 2021 I have had a variety of treatments for sporting injuries with Sonja Bass, (Director and Lead Physio). Sonja is highly professional with a wealth of experience behind her. I have always received effective treatments and seen quick and positive results. I spent 3 days at the Royal Free PPU as an in-patient following major surgery and I have nothing but praise for the treatment I recieved from start to finish. My surgery was scheduled speedily, the operation went as well as hoped, and all of the PPU team members who took care of me - Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeeping - were professional but at the same time, kind and reassuring. I was really anxious about the surgery and for me, the care that I received as an in-patient, made the whole experience so much less stressful.
