I wanted to share my experience with Mr Gan in the hope it helps other women who may be facing complex gynaecological surgery, including hysterectomy, or living with severe endometriosis. All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

It was OK. Sorry this system doesn't allow me to write why I went there and therefore wastes my time! I was there for a Pre op assessment. My Op is 9 Feb 2026 under Dr Panos Gikas. I asked him if I could attend this clinic as it is nearer where I live. The. appointment was alright. The only issue I had was that when it came to having a blood test, they insisted that I had to have 2 separate ones in each arm? I get blood tests regularly as I have a long term condition. The first one was relatively pain free which was performed by Isabella. The second was performed by Riggs(?) and was unneccessarily painful due to him holding down the needle when it was in my arm. I was not happy about that. I did not understand the reason for the second blood test, when one is usually fine and if more blood is required, then usually another vial is attached as necessary.

This is truly a very pleasant clinic. All staff put you at ease and treat you very well. I had an upper endoscopy performed by Dr Craig Mowat. He is a really patient, polite and conscientious professional man who listened to my concerns and talked me through them. He was very thorough and suggested how I could relive my symptoms mean time until my procedure, which was only a few weeks later. He explained exactly what would happen. The experience was very calm and I was put at ease. Dr Mowat told me of his findings immediately after the procedure and called me to discuss biopsy results a couple of weeks later. The whole experience was calm and quickly put my fears to rest. Thank you very much for lifting a huge weight off my mind - I can now get back to enjoying life!

Mr Worthington explained on the basis of the scans that he had from St Peters the reasons for suggesting a medical procedure to drain a 4cm wide absess on my pancreas (not incidentally present on scans taken in April) He expained that there would be a biopsy taken to establish its nature and possibly the need to insert a stent temporarily. I was very satisfied with this proposed further treatment, albeit a bit surprised that the team at St Peters had not suggested that it should be done. I forgot to ask whether, if a repeat pancreatitis attack occurred, it would be possible for me to be admitted to Nuffield Guildford for treatment, insured by BUPA. And if so, what do I do at the outset, call 999 or the Nuffield?

Firstly Mr Manjaly empathy and the time given, and how compassionate he was about my situation was outstanding He gave clear instruction and didn’t go into things to confuse me, as he took me through each stage carefully, which really helped, the outcome ideas he gave were really realistic. Working through all of these we could then work out that the Osia device was a good option. Communication for surgery was quick and consise, he came himself to see me and explained things clearly and took on how I was feeling. After over half a century being totally deaf in one ear, isolated, depression what Mr Manjaly has been able to do for me has changed my life and I had nothing but excellent treatment.

Mr Ofinran was great at explaining my initial results in more detail which gave me a better understanding and clarity that things weren’t as bad as I’d interpreted. I had a follow on procedure where Mr Ofinran took biopsies. He was considerate, explained the process whilst he was doing it, and gave me some great follow up advice about what to expect.
