Every member of staff I encountered was kind, respectful, and professional, making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my visit. My acupuncture appointments at mums were with Zahra, I have had about 6/7 sessions with her, every week or 2 weeks. I have noticed a huge improvement in symptoms of chronic back pain and stress levels, I have fibromyalgia and these appointments have really allowed for me to notice and learn my triggers, emotional or physical. I have been able to talk to Zahra about my experience of the week at each appointment and talk about the changes I’ve seen not only in lower pain levels but in mental clams and clarity too. This in turns will aid my fertility journey as the body and nervous system has regulated greatly and my menstrual cycles have developed a healthy constant rhythm in terms of length and flow. I would recommend this to anyone that was struggling with issues similar to mine.

From the minute I arrived for my operation I was looked after by friendly professional staff. I was desperate to have the operation to replace my hip as I had been suffering for months due to misdiagnosis by my GP. From seeing a consultant privately the waiting time was 5 weeks, which was amazing. I had a spinal block & was asleep throughout the operation. The post operative care was excellent & pain relief was discussed with me until I was happy with the medication prescribed. The support from the physio department enabled me to go home with confidence. For anyone who is suffering like I was, I can wholeheartedly recommend Barlborough Hospital.

Directions to the car park should be better, ie if you put Candover Clinic in the sat nav you can't get to the patient car park for MRI without going out and sitting in traffic to get around the other side of the hospital. It could also be clearer where MRI is on the map (eg circled). It was quite confusing whether I was in the right place as was given NHS forms (is a shared NHS facility). They also told me off for not reading a leaflet but I didn't get a leaflet. The lady who completed the procedure was excellent though. Before and afterwards I felt a bit more alone and confused than at other private procedures.

Amazing experience! Being an NHS patient, the only expectations I had were, expect the same level of service in terms of courteousness and I’d still be in a queue to receive treatment. How wrong was I? The hospital staff on the welcome desk were great and the imaging department were very friendly too! My surgeon, Mr Jeer was incredible! Very thorough in his explanation, exceptional professionalism and the wait time for an MRI and follow-up appt was non-existent! Fingers crossed for a small wait time, for the ACL reconstruction. 💯 exceeded my expectations, thank you so much!

Hannah put me at ease straight away and explained how the appointment would work. She then went through my medical history and the reasons for me wanting to discuss HRT. She then very thoroughly explained all the options available to me as well as what other lifestyle choices would help too. The appointment was not rushed at all, I felt I had plenty of time to discuss my health and my requirements. Hannah then followed up the appointment with a very detailed letter and various other links to topics we discussed at the appointment which was very helpful.

I paid for treatment myself at Clare Park and naturally I would therefore expect the very best. The consultants and nursing staff were outstanding in all respects on each of the three occasions that I have visited Clare Park over the course of the last two years. Administratively and with several minor issues that I have brought to management's attention, I would not choose to use this hospital. It seems too cottagy. I prefer Frimley Park Hospital as being far more professional. They were all minor issues but then as a paying customer, I expect excellence.

He is unique in his manner as he is down to earth and extremely caring. His surgical experience is impeccable. However, this does not make him arrogant in the slightest. Instead he shows true care and dedication to his patients. My Total abdominal hysterectomy & BSO was completed without any issues and I am finally on the road to recovery thanks to his skill and dedication.

I am now 9 weeks post op and feeling great. An excellent experience! Mr Thomas was clear and concise with his explanation of, and reasons for, having my gall bladder removed. The operation was, as Mr Thomas said, a text book case and I was home 7 hours after the surgery. Follow up from the hospital was good and at my post op check 5 weeks after surgery all was well and I was discharged with the proviso that should I have any concerns I must contact Mr Thomas’s secretary Gemma who is the most amazing and compassionate lady.

I then went to Thornbury for the operation and had the procedure described to me as I viewed it on a screen . 8 weeks later I saw Mr Anderson for the final consultation and told him I was now pain free walking and cycling . I would definitely recommend Mr Anderson for his skill and compassion .
