My time at Castle Craig is something I'll carry with me for a long time. When I first arrived I was a frightened mess, but by about day 3 I began to notice that I was in a truly amazing place. I was struck by the grounds, the building, my bedroom - all of it. It didn't feel like the kind of environment I expected in a rehab. It felt calm, with a personal touch and looked after and that made a real difference to me settling in. Having access to the therapy rooms, the various spaces to reflect and breathe made it so much easier to focus on getting well rather than just getting through the day. But for me it's the staff that stay with me the most. Every single person I came across, whether it was in a session or just passing in a corridor, made me feel like I genuinely mattered. They weren't just doing a job you could tell they really cared about the people there. The therapists helped me work through things I'd been carrying around for years, and they did it with such patience and understanding that I never once felt judged for any of it. I came to Castle Craig not really knowing if anything could change for me, and I'm leaving with a sense of hope I hadn't felt in a long time. I'll always be grateful to the staff and the place itself for giving me the chance to find my way back to myself and build a better me.

OVERALL A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE, I FEEL MUCH BETTER THAN I DID WHEN I ARRIVED, CAN BE CHALLENGING AT TIMES BUT WORTH IT.
In essence an excellent programme for addiction. Having LGBTQ classes I felt heard, the hospital realises the role of diversity and peoples different backgrounds which is incorporated into each individuals care.
