My hearing care assistant Claire was brilliant. I only made the appointment because I was spending New Year in the area from London and still had muffled hearing despite being under treatment for wax removal in both ears. I had already gone down the local NHS route, which uses only irrigation, to no effect and the private (Specsavers) route, which uses only micro-suction, with limited success after several visits. So I was delighted that with just one treatment of about twenty minutes at Meadows and Wood my ears were completely clear. Claire used both methods in appropriate combination to get the result I wanted. She was very pleasant, friendly and extremely professional and fully answered any questions I had. She was also careful to keep me informed of what she was doing at every point of the treatment whilst ensuring that there was no pain or discomfort. I would unhesitatingly recommend Meadows and Wood to anybody. The standard of treatment I received was so high that it might well be worth making the trip from London the next time I need their services!

I recently had an operation performed by Professor Shaikh. In the lead up, I had several discussions with him about the way forward; he was highly professional and very helpful. He explained the options to me very carefully, he gave advice and allowed time for me to ask questions which he answered fully. However, I was over weight and he explained very carefully the risks posed in surgery by the extra weight I was carrying. We decided a way forward together; we set a date for the operation, allowing time for me to lose some weight. I was very grateful to him for providing me with a clear focus and for his encouragement. By the date of the operation, I had lost a substantial amount of weight and the operation was performed successfully. I have a great deal to thank Professor Shaikh for - in addition to his surgical expertise, I am grateful for his advice, encouragement and support. We visited Dr Haddad just before Xmas and again recently. Dr Haddad has been excellent! My daughter has been struggling with a severe reaction to something which is causing her stress and unfortunately the other channels we have taken to date have not been of any help. He Explains everything so clearly, allowing us to ask as many questions as we need, putting my daughter at ease which has made her feel that she is being understood and heard. I was very anxious about the procedure initially but Dr. Lencioni has such a good "bedside manner" that I felt quite ready for the procedure to start. Greeted by friendly staff and seen at my appointment time. Following a basic health check, the procedure was explained in detail and I was taken to a treatment room for the Gastroscopy to begin. Throat spray was applied, blood pressure and oxygen levels were monitored throughout the procedure, then the camera was inserted via the mouth into the oesopagus and stomach. The process was painless but a little discomfort was felt and took no longer that 10 minutes in total. I was then taken to a recovery room and discussed the treatment findings.

I had pain in my ankle. It had become more painful over the past two years.I had broken my ankle in 1999.have had several operation and the ankle had been fused. What was needed for my treatment was investigated and a clear plan of what was going to take place was explained. The ankle was no longer fused and so Mr Anjum cause of action was to redo the fusion with a bone graft again. All went well and I followed all his instructions. Am just having some physical therapy to strengthen muscle.

I was very early for the appointment so was encouraged to go to cafe and assured I would be called when they were ready. The receptionist answered our questions with a friendly manner. The nurse was very attentive and explained the procedure whilst preparing the cannular. She even brought blankets as it was chilly in the room. The cardiologist gave time to explain the findings afterwards and advised regarding medication. Excellent service!

Having been advised that I would be out in 30 minutes, I was over an hour. The lady who scanned was excellent, the specialist was efficient but not up to Mr Poon ‘s standard. The lady who gave the injection seemed extremely nervous and hesitant and I didn’t feel confident. My eye was uncomfortable all evening which is not normally the case
