I cannot recommend Mr Adam Cox highly enough following my HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure. From the very first consultation, he was calm, professional and reassuring, taking the time to explain the condition, the treatment options, and exactly what the surgery would involve. The operation itself has genuinely been life-changing. Symptoms that had been affecting my daily life and sleep for years were resolved almost immediately. The improvement in quality of life has been remarkable, far beyond what I had hoped for. Mr Cox’s skill, confidence and attention to detail inspired complete trust, and the care from his wider clinical team was equally first-class. I felt listened to, respected and supported at every stage of the process. For anyone considering HoLEP surgery, I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Adam Cox. It is rare to find a consultant who combines such technical expertise with genuine compassion and humour, and I am extremely grateful for the outstanding care I received whilst staying at St Joseph’s Hospital.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

The staff at KIMS Hospital are truly amazing and incredibly friendly. Their professionalism and genuine compassion were unmatched by any experience I’ve had in NHS care. I felt supported, reassured, and well looked after from start to finish. Several people stood out during my stay: Amy in recovery, David, who prepared me for the epidural, Becky, my physio, and Mark, who handled my medication. My two nurses who cared for me around the clock were also outstanding — attentive, kind, and consistently reassuring. I honestly can’t fault any part of the care I received. Thank you to the entire team for making a daunting experience so much easier.

No problems with check in or with the meeting with Mr Krkovic. However the hospital is showing signs of neglect. The loo in the corridor outside Trinity Suite had no paper towels and and a completely overflowed waste bin. The coffee machine in Trinity was broken in October and is still broken in January. The former quite serious, the latter not serious but to be not fixed over so many months suggests neglect and that always raises the possibility that things I can't see are also neglected. SIte management needs shake-up.

I had an online meeting with Gayle which was really helpful, much more relaxed than expected whilst including an in-depth exploration of my test results, health issues, and their timeline and effects on my life. Gayle is polite, respectful, understanding, and easy to talk to, as well as thorough and interested to understand and create a full picture. She’s very knowledgeable in a range of areas and made various links between results and possible causes. I look forward to continuing my health improvement with her support.

From start to finish my experience has been excellent, from admin to reception to consultations to the hospital team. Mr Coleridge has been clear & concise, answering my questions, fully explaining my options/ the prognosis etc. The option to wait probably the best part of a year for NHS treatment was not an option for my injury, and having had Mr Coleridge recommended by both my GP and physio I’d extremely glad I dealt with him, and he got me back on my feet…..literally!

He then asked me for many other details relevant to my condition and performed respiratory tests to make comparisons with my notes. He showed real interest in my concerns about my health. When I left the appointment I felt confident being in his care and had a plan arranged with him to proceed with the investigation of my lung condition.

Everything was made very easy. The staff were very helpful and footed me in for an urgent echocardiogram even though the list was full. Dr Kamdar went out of his way to fit me in, was efficient and reassuring and made himself available out of hours to give me results and his opinion which in turn enabled me to go ahead promptly with hernia surgery.
