My experience has been nothing short of exceptional. My initial contact was with Tracey Lomax (Manager), and from the very beginning she offered a level of care and attention that truly stood out. I had written a long list of questions—around eight—and she took the time to highlight and respond to every single one. When I later sent even more questions regarding my chosen procedure (a Coronary CT Angiogram), she continued to provide thorough, reassuring answers. My intention was simply to undergo a non-invasive heart assessment at the age of 53—much like purchasing travel insurance, you prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Tracey reassured me that this was absolutely the right place for such an assessment. I had already enquired with two other providers, including Alliance Medical, but their responses felt robotic and impersonal. The level of genuine care here made all the difference. I also want to highlight the professionalism of the radiologist, who carried out the scan with great precision and made me feel completely at ease throughout the procedure. In addition, the nurse who took my blood samples three days prior to the scan was equally kind and professional—and the fact that these pre-scan blood tests were fully included in the cost was a significant and appreciated gesture. Dr. Gavin Lewis was the consultant who saw me both before and after the scan, with the consultation arranged on the same day. His explanation of the results was clear, calm, and reassuring. Both my wife and I left feeling confident about the future and grateful for the guidance he provided—including helpful advice on maintaining a healthy heart and speaking with my GP about medication adjustments. The final report arrived at my home within seven days, and a copy was also sent directly to my GP. My medication was promptly reviewed, updated, and delivered straight to my home. I am taking the time to write such a detailed review because they genuinely deserve it. They put real effort into caring for me, and I want to acknowledge that level of dedication. Dr. Malik is the ideal obstetrician. She is direct yet kind when providing her prognosis and advice. We appreciated Dr. Malik's candor and knew that we could count on her to be upfront with any concerns throughout the course of my pregnancy. She took time during every appointment to check on mine and my husband's physical, mental, emotional health and to offer advice. Dr. Malik takes the time to get to know her patients on a deep level, which enables her to provide holistic support. She could immediately tell when I felt nervous during my C-section and immediately took steps to help me feel calm and secure. She also went to great lengths to minimize my blood loss and the size of my scar, and provided clear post-op instructions to ensure a speedy recovery. We certainly recommend Dr. Malik to any potential patients and would work with her again in the future.

I have been a client of the surgery for many years going back to when Johnathan Richardson set up the practice just off Wilson's Corner. I continued to use the surgery when premises were established in Shenfield. It was when I experienced heart problems some 5 years ago that I found Dr. Athreya to be particularly helpful. He offered his private cell phone number should I need help or advice at this difficult time prior to surgery. This literally proved a lifeline. I saw Dr. Athreya on 4th December this year and as usual he was able to diagnose the problem and prescribe a treatment plan. Dr Athreya is an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner and a credit to the team at EPD. He puts patients at ease and is interested in their experiences. I was sorry to hear he was leaving for I feel sure he will be sorely missed.

Dr Hurel has taken the time to not only go through my current case with him, which has been ongoing for a few years, but he has helped and offered to refer to specialist with regard to another (related) issue. While it is not his specialty, he has gone above and beyond to try and help me with a personal medical matter. In addition he has worked with me virtually as I have moved to another city, unable to get into London, and allowed me to use a different provider for bloodwork. It's bedside manner like this which keeps me going back to him as a private medical provider. He's clearly at the top of his field in knowledge and experience, but his personal touch to how he treats is patients is what makes him a fabulous doctor.

Mr Attilakos was incredibly attentive, calm and encouraging every step of the way through our pregnancy. He had endless patience for our first-time parents to be and kept an encyclopaedic knowledge to reassure and take action where needed. During labour, he was very present and warm and we are so incredibly grateful to have him be the one to welcome our daughter. We trust him completely. I walked away from labour with such a positive experience that helped buoy me into those delicate newborn weeks with strength and confidence, and Mr Attilakos was a large reason for that.

When going in to get a third temporary crown I told Dr Koloutsos that I was not confident the crown would stay in place so was reconsidering my options. He was quite dismissive of this saying they are temporary crowns so are meant to come off easily. This comment was not appreciated. I finally did agree to have the full crown fitted but only after I was given a guarantee by Dr Koloutsos that if the crown falls off in the first year I would receive a full refund of the cost of the treatment.

Over the last 15 or so years, having had a number of treatments and surgeries in various medical specialities, I would not go anywhere other than the London Independent Hospital. They always have world class doctors in all specialities at the hospital, the staff are amazing, the nurses experienced and empathetic. I hope never to visit a hospital again, but if I do need treatment, the London Independent Hospital is at the top of my list.
