When booking the consultation with Nick Panay, the earliest available date was 2 months in advance. I was required to pay the full £395 under pressure at time, being told that the consultation would be lost unless I paid by 5pm. My understanding that this appointment would be for specialist, in-depth input tailored to a complex clinical history. Given that context, I was disappointed that the consultation felt limited to a reiteration of guideline-based recommendations, with little opportunity to explore causation, individual nuance, or the specific questions I had prepared. At several points during the consultation, I felt that my questions were closed down rather than explored, and the overall tone felt more directive than supportive. Given my long and complex medical history, I had hoped for a more compassionate and collaborative approach. Instead, I left the consultation feeling unheard and dismissed, which was distressing. I had hoped for greater depth and collaborative discussion, particularly in light of the significant upfront cost. I was given no additional value beyond what I already knew and was told in any case, that I required a further consultation to finalise a treatment plan. I have been in contact with the practice and explained that the consultation did not meet the reasonable expectations set by the cost, structure, or positioning of this service. I appreciate that since, I have received a considered response from the Practice Manager and the consultation and fee are being reviewed.

I am an international masters hockey player , which normally involves playing 5 full games over a 10 day period. Eighteen months ago I got constant pain in my left knee. During a tournament last year I was really struggling to play as was in constant pain from game one and it only got worse over the tournament. I got an MRI and had a consultation with a specialist knee surgeon, who stated that the pain was mainly due to wear and tear. The cartilage had thinned and there were signs of osteoarthritis and inflammation. We tried a cortisone injection which did absolutely nothing for me. I was reluctant to get a partial knee replacement but was not keen on the recovery time and also how successful it would be. After finding out about arthromacid and doing some research I decided to give it a go as it is much less invasive than surgery. The procedure was very straightforward and had a bit of stiffness and a bit of constant pain for about 10 days. Since then I have had bit of constant pain but the majors thing is that I don’t notice it when playing and even managed to play 5 games in 10 days with only a very slight degradation in performance and no significant increase in pain. I am very pleased with the outcome of the procedure and am hoping to be continue playing into the future.

She spent time getting to know me and made me feel reassured and supported throughout my pregnancy journey. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I developed further complications with gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. During this time, Shalini was constantly checking in on me, always making me feel safe, calm, and reassured, and never once making me feel worried or dismissed. Our beautiful baby girl was brought into the world earlier than initially planned at 36 weeks due to the pre-eclampsia and how the baby was tracking, and I genuinely don’t think I would have got through this frightening period without her constant reassurance and support. Even now, one week postpartum, she is still checking in on me, which shows how much she truly cares. I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or confident with a consultant, and I will forever be thankful for her support.

Daniel was with us from early on in the pregnancy. He was patient with our questions, taking all concerns seriously and providing informed views (even going to do further research when we had a very specific niche question). When it came time for the birth, there were some complications- Daniel acted very quickly to ensure the least amount of intervention and to get my baby out safely. Greeted by friendly staff and seen at my appointment time. Following a basic health check, the procedure was explained in detail and I was taken to a treatment room for the Gastroscopy to begin. Throat spray was applied, blood pressure and oxygen levels were monitored throughout the procedure, then the camera was inserted via the mouth into the oesopagus and stomach. The process was painless but a little discomfort was felt and took no longer that 10 minutes in total. I was then taken to a recovery room and discussed the treatment findings.

Good Benenden experience bar not getting hernia repaired. wonder if I’m just a nervous patient & wait plus patient in theatre emergency put me in fight or flight AR normal to 209. Ambulance to W Harvey, monitored and drugs corrected pulse , home 11.30pm. Been back to W Harvey for check up found me ok. Hospital asking my dr surgery to fit a 24 hr monitor. I now wear an Apple Watch and haven’t had an abnormal pulse since op day.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in The Westminster Maternity Suite twice, after delivering my babies. The care, cleanliness, privacy, personal space and food are fantastic. I had really enjoyed staying there for the recovery after giving birth. The views of Big Ben both times were an amazing bonus for the night feeds of my newborn.

I recommend a private appointment. Instead of a rushed NHS 10 minute experience, the doctor spends 30 minutes understanding symptoms and background. I needed an MRI scan and called Darcy Healthcare on Saturday, 27th December. They promptly scheduled my scan for the 30th. On the day of the scan, the staff were professional and friendly. We haven’t received any blood test results, and it’s now nearly 3 weeks since they were done. We don’t know who to contact, we keep calling the outpatients phone number unsuccessfully. We are very disappointed, especially for the price of the consultation.
