After I had my procedure and was in the room, I needed to use the toilet, but I was hooked up to a catheter. Therefore, I could not go unaided. I needed to use the toilet for a poo and was desperate to go. I used the call button and told the nurse, who said they would come back. I was left for 4 hours in agony. I was really anxious as I had been told I was not to strain, and I was doing all I could to not mess myself. This left me really upset and agitated. I did not feel cared for at that time. The breakfast was very poor and not at all palatable. The fact that you could not get in the lift without someone tapping you in is ridiculous, as you then have to search for someone to assist. Also, when I subsequently came back for my catheter removal. There were no disabled parking spaces at the front, so I had to come in the back. I was told I needed to go to the ward. So I made my way to the lift and was very dizzy and weak. My wife left me at the lift to go to the front to sign me in, and the receptionist could not have been more unhelpful and stroppy. My wife then took me up in the lift, only to be told that they would not see me until she had gone back down to the reception. The other receptionist then signed me in and was pleasant, unlike the other receptionist. Sadly, small things let you down. But when you are a patient, you feel very vulnerable, and the lack of professionalism from a member of the team makes a big impact.

I spent years dealing with anxiety and depression, convincing myself I didn't need therapy - partly due to the stigma around mental health, especially in my industry. By the time I reached out to Dr Olena, my anxiety was affecting my ability to do presentations and travel for work, things that were essential to my role in finance. Working with Dr Olena has been transformative. She used a combination of approaches tailored to what I needed - CBT and existential therapy initially helped me tackle my anxiety head-on. Within months, I was back to delivering presentations confidently and travelling for business again, things I'd been avoiding for far too long. For my depression, we've taken a different approach, incorporating DBT alongside existential therapy. Whilst this remains a work in progress, I'm in a significantly better place than when I started. Dr Olena helped me understand that therapy isn't about 'fixing' everything overnight - it's about having the right tools and support to navigate life's challenges. I only wish I'd overcome my reservations about therapy sooner. If you're in a demanding professional environment and struggling, I can't recommend Dr Olena highly enough. Her approach is practical, insightful, and genuinely effective."

My hearing care assistant Claire was brilliant. I only made the appointment because I was spending New Year in the area from London and still had muffled hearing despite being under treatment for wax removal in both ears. I had already gone down the local NHS route, which uses only irrigation, to no effect and the private (Specsavers) route, which uses only micro-suction, with limited success after several visits. So I was delighted that with just one treatment of about twenty minutes at Meadows and Wood my ears were completely clear. Claire used both methods in appropriate combination to get the result I wanted. She was very pleasant, friendly and extremely professional and fully answered any questions I had. She was also careful to keep me informed of what she was doing at every point of the treatment whilst ensuring that there was no pain or discomfort. I would unhesitatingly recommend Meadows and Wood to anybody. The standard of treatment I received was so high that it might well be worth making the trip from London the next time I need their services!

Dr Ben and the Lister team were amazing in every single way. We started our IVF journey at another large London clinic on Harley Street and did not have a great experience. After that we changed clinics to the Lister hospital and Dr Bens care and wished we had done it sooner. Dr Ben listened to our wishes and concerns, and took them into consideration, whilst always focusing on the best outcome for us. He is extremely knowledgeable and we trusted him and his expertise completely. One thing that also made a huge difference to our patient experience was that Dr Ben was always available for any questions and would answer them himself and almost always immediately or within a few hours, depending on his time. At the clinic we were before, we never saw the same consultant, the plan of care felt very much like a standard protocol rather than tailored to the patient and answers to questions where hard to come by outside of appointments. Our son Alexander was born healthy at the end of 2025 and we could not be more grateful to Dr Ben and the whole Lister Team!

From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They were constantly checking on me to ensure I was comfortable, and they never made me feel rushed; they absolutely made sure I was feeling good and stable before they let me go home. The facility itself was impressively clean, which made me feel much more at ease, and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually great! I came off my bicycle in London and after visiting West Middx A&E i was referred to Mr Quen Tang. I had fractured my shoulder ball joint in 3 places. I met with Mr Quen Tang a few days later and his explanation of my injuries and what they would try to do to fix it was very clear and concise. I was operated on the next day. He was going to try to screw it but he felt the bone was to thin and so would probably end up replacing the ball joint (this is what they did in the end). From start to finish i was very impressed with Mr Quen Tang and his team. Made me feel very at ease and now I'm on the road to recovery. Thank You !! I would certainly recommend him for shoulder injuries.

Ami Shukla is the first gynaecologist who listened to me and understood my concerns and worries. I left feeling reassured that my issues will now be looked at properly. Before seeing Ms Shukla I was feeling really lost I found GP's don't really understand womens health. I was previously put on antidepressants and was told that I was feeling a certain type of way because this was all in my head and this was put down to mental health when in realitiy my HRT needed looking at. The HRT was not quite right which is why I booked into see Ami Shukla who has now put my mind at ease and is helping me with my women issues. I highly recommend Ms Shukla to everyone.

I had a video consultation with Dr Kallis. In the previous months I had a abdominal ultrasound scan and a CT abdomen and pelvis dual phase scan which appeared to show conflicting results. Dr Kallis explained the purpose and limitations of such scans as the reason for such conflicts, which I found understandable and reassuring. He also outlined the appropriate tests to take to clarify any remaining issues. Dr Kallis was patient and clear in responding to any questions I had. The organisation of the video consultation was very efficiently handled by his Medical Secretary. I would certainly recommend Dr Kallis

. Mr Jaffri is an excellent communicator who is very reassuring and approachable. He carried out a detailed investigation into my condition and explained everything clearly, including a thorough description of the procedure. The operation itself and the post-operative care were excellent, with my recovery very well managed. I achieved a really good outcome and am now back to a very good level of functioning. He was always punctual and made himself available outside of consultations when needed, which was greatly appreciated. I felt well informed and confident in his care throughout.

Dr Salvia is very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She didn’t make me feel rushed and set my mind at rest regarding the issues I consulted her about. She recommended a comprehensive blood test when I told her I was taking iron on my own initiative and explained a dizziness problem and took appropriate action regarding a toenail issue. possibly a fungus. (She called me with the blood tests results within 36 hours). To sum up Dr Salvia is very professional and thorough and it was a pleasure to consult with her.

It was a private appoint & I paid for the ILR device. That was fine but I have been disappointed with the follow up since which seems to provide no reassurance that the ILR results are being looked at / reviewed so it is a case of assuming "no news is good news". In my view this is poor, if not unsatisfactory and it seems to me an initial 3 month review email followed by half yearly emails would be welcomed by patients. Also issue of contact phone numbers would be helpful e.g. technical. episode queries

I received surgery to repair a hernia at the Nuffield Hospital Bristol with Mr Khan. The operation was successful with no complications and I've now recovered. Mr Khan provided plenty of reassurance with time to ask questions prior to surgery, on the day and afterwards and the Nuffield made for much more relaxing/stress free experience than visiting a larger hospital. I would recommend him and this hospital for anyone needing this surgery.
