The surgery itself was great and completed successfully, however, the wait time and ward care was not good. I was phoned around 7pm the evening before my appointment to come in earlier in the morning for the surgery (the first slot at 7.30) but by the time I was called for surgery it was after 2pm. I was given one glass of water to sip at approx 9am which wasn't refilled so by the time I went into surgery I was dehydrated and my vein had collapsed. When returning from surgery I had a reaction to the drugs where blood pressure dropped when sitting up, the nurses wouldn't listen and kept trying to make me stand when I couldn't sit up all the way. It got to the point where my partner had to intervene and speak to the registered nurse. They told me they had to get me out as it was a day surgery (which I understand) but as I physically couldn't sit or stand they ignored what we were saying so they could discharge where it may not have been in my best interests to do so. I ended up staying the night after my partner intervened and the night staff were great and I experienced a significant raise in care.

She took the time to really understand my experiences of PMDD and perimenopause, and approached my care with compassion, depth of knowledge and genuine curiosity. I felt supported and involved throughout the consultation, with clear explanations and thoughtful discussion around my options. Since the appointment, I honestly cannot believe the difference I feel within myself. The impact on my wellbeing has been profound, and I feel much more settled, hopeful and connected to my body. Dr Burgin’s approach is everything you would hope for in menopause care: person-centred, informed and deeply respectful. I am incredibly grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone navigating PMDD or their perimenopause journey.

I can not speak more highly of the care I received from Reproclinic, in particular or Medical Coordinator, Karin, and Dr Alicia Hernández. Being an international patient, I was concerned about how it was all going to work, given so much of the preparation is done remotely. I need not have worried. Karin's response times to my many (many) emails were always quick and her replies provided the information and reassurances I required. I am please to say that we welcomed our healthy baby boy a couple of weeks ago, following our first IVF cycle with Reproclinic. This was on the back of 15 failed rounds in my home country. The result speaks for itself. Thank you Karin and Dr Alicia. I look forward to seeing you both again when we return to Barcelona for our second child.

After I had the required surgery by Mrs Mathews, the following day was a revelation brightness and visibility that I had not seen in years.

Almost immediately, she put myself and my partner at ease.we are both usually quite private people and obviously the content of what we were discussing was very personal and sensitive, but Cheryl was very easy to talk to. She was very supportive and kind with her comments and we left the meeting quite positive yet still grounded in reality.

I was pleasantly surprised about the efficiency of Newmedica Worcester. I had only used NHS services prior to my NHS Newmedica appointments for cataract removal on both eyes. I was seen very quickly after referral by Specsavers Malvern. Each appointment went flawlessly. I also had laser treatment in my right eye. All staff were friendly and professional and I am very grateful to be able to see clearly once more.
