During both the initial consultation and following procedure, Dr Muir was a pleasure to visit and was instrumental in my dealing with a long standing problem that had been negatively affecting my quality of life since I was very young. My initial examination and diagnosis was swift, professional, and Gordon explained everything very clearly and in such a way that put me at ease with the procedure I had been recommended. The procedure was booked in very efficiently and I was able to have it done barely two weeks after the consultation, thanks to Mr Muir’s excellent and responsive broader team. I received great care from Mr Muir and his team on the day of my surgery, as well as immediately following, before being discharged. Unfortunately, as is apparently relatively common with this type of procedure I developed a minor infection during recovery. However I was quickly booked in for a follow up, seen to quickly, examined and promptly prescribed the necessary medication which cleared the infection up within a week. Further to this, during my recovery period I was able to easily get in touch with Mr Muir and his office, for general advice, quick checkups and reassurance. Having now completed my journey with Dr Muir and his team I am very grateful to them all and am looking forward to this next chapter in my life, with the numerous health benefits gained from my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr Muir to anyone who requires any form of urological treatment, they will be very well looked after.

As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

The ACE facility was very impressive with sleek and modern finishes, and sensitively designed for allergy with all shared areas wipable and allergen-free. As a mother of a young baby, it was also great to see the centre ideally set up for kids and babies with easy pram access everywhere and multiple baby change facilities. The centre also offered all allergy-related support services (blood tests, pharmacy, dermatology) under one roof, saving me from having to run around to get my child everything needed.

I had to have 4 visits to get a crown fitted on a rear tooth. Hours after the first temporary crown was fitted it fell off. I attended the surgery the following day to have a second temporary crown fitted but was not informed that, as it was a different Dentist, this would incur a separate charge which is not good practice. This second temporary crown also fell off after a couple of days.
