The session with Mr Johnson went very well, pleasant and explained everything very clearly and was prescribed some medication. Unfortunately since then it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with Nuffield Health Derby. I was unable to locate the prescribed medication from several different pharmacies, one being a national chain, as they all advised it was not in stock and that they were unable to order it. As I was unable to get through to his private secretary, I called Nuffield Health number. I have spent the last two weeks ringing Nuffield Health, explaining the issue. Each time very pleasant staff advised they would sort it, but each time they never had the courtesy to call me back and let me know what was happening. Eventually today, after a 30minute call, they managed to advise that the pharmacy at the Derby Hospital had the prescription available, but they insisted that they were unable to post it and that I had to come and collect it, 90minute round trip in the snow. Overall, a very poor service and makes you wonder what's the benefit of paying for health insurance.

The cataract in my right eye, which had been quite noticeable, was operated on in the second week of November this year. The less advanced cataract in the left eye was dealt with a fortnight later. My second eye is still settling in, but my surgeon, Mr Park, appears to have produced an excellent overall outcome for me. Having discussed the options with Mr Park, I chose to have a lens in my right (dominant) eye which enables me to see at distance, whilst for the left, I have one which is more suited to closer work. I may need reading glasses for really close work, but using my computer screen presents no problem. Asking questions was encouraged and all queries were dealt with clearly. The staff, and particularly the opthalmic technicians, obviously knew what they needed to do in support of the surgical procedures and all was handled very efficiently. Special thanks to Nurse Debbie who was looking after me, a somewhat anxious patient, before and after the two operations.

I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

I met with my surgeon online. The online facility works extremely well. I noticed that I was sent two new reminders of the meeting on the day with direct links. I like this new approach very much. As always, the surgeon, Prof J Murphy, was prompt and conducted the consultancy with detailed feedback, including the sharing onscreen of a third party report which was extremely helpful and informative. Prof J Murphy has an extremely open, honest and clear approach to discussing aspects of the individual patient’s health that are not easy to discuss. This allows the patient to feel their case is being carefully monitored, considered and options, going forward are shared and discussed with them. This surgeon engenders great trust in his review of information, liaison with others specialists, communication, surgical treatment and overall management of the individual patient’s case.

I am so thrilled with my experience at Weymouth Street Hospital, London, after having had cataracts removed in both of my eyes, by Mr Hove of Blue Fin Vision. I can see clearly now, both distance and close up, reading, computer etc, etc.. ; no need for any glasses. Mr Hove is truly amazing - so caring, kind and professional. He explained everything to me in my assessment on Monday 8th December, in Chelmsford and actually had the operation in such a short time - Thursday 11th December! I am a new person now ! Doctor Carlos, the anesthetist, was also so kind and caring. I felt thoroughly at ease for my operation. Many, many thanks to everybody, including the kind nurse. My husband and I were both given a delicious meal afterwards, which was really appreciated - so welcome. Thank you very, very much for everything, everybody

I had LASIK surgery with Allon Barsam yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My vision feels unbelievably clear, almost like seeing through the eyes of a superhero. Allon guided me through every step of the procedure as it was happening, which made the entire experience feel calm, safe, and reassuring. The surgery was genuinely painless; there was one brief moment of discomfort that lasted no more than 10 seconds, and he calmly counted down the seconds so I knew exactly what to expect. My eyes stung a little afterwards, but after a short nap I woke up feeling completely fine. If you’re considering laser eye surgery, I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They were constantly checking on me to ensure I was comfortable, and they never made me feel rushed; they absolutely made sure I was feeling good and stable before they let me go home. The facility itself was impressively clean, which made me feel much more at ease, and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually great! The kindness and professionalism of the team made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of me.

I had a video consultation with Dr Kallis. In the previous months I had a abdominal ultrasound scan and a CT abdomen and pelvis dual phase scan which appeared to show conflicting results. Dr Kallis explained the purpose and limitations of such scans as the reason for such conflicts, which I found understandable and reassuring. He also outlined the appropriate tests to take to clarify any remaining issues. Dr Kallis was patient and clear in responding to any questions I had. The organisation of the video consultation was very efficiently handled by his Medical Secretary. I would certainly recommend Dr Kallis

Dont trust this doctor had Penis enlargement surgery with dr nenad on august i have lost almost 1 inch of erect lenght. I didnt get 1 inch soft guarented lenght plus lost almost 1 inch erect my surgery time was at 2pm i had the surgery at 7pm! And doctor nowhere to be seen. Its been 4 months now having erection problems i never had erection problem and still having pains. Doctor nenad is now telling me i can get my size back if i use traction device useless. If you really want to do it my advice is penis fillers. Dont let them damage your penis.

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. All the staff here are so kind and friendly. Special shout out to Roslyn for how well she looked after me (and my very anxious mum!) on the day, Bernadette, Lisa, but everyone has been amazing. I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Had an immigration medical appointment for Australia. I was running late and had to reschedule my AM appointment. Sent an email as the call option was automated message but the email was promptly replied and I was rebooked for the next available PM appointment. It meant I had to wait longer but they were swift to accommodate me and the services from reception to chest X-ray and GP examination was brilliant. I was offered the Polio vaccine and a painless blood tests. Overall I recommend 100%.

I felt quite anxious going into my procedure due to a past ovarian cyst surgery with a different consultant that resulted in internal bleeding and an ICU stay. Dr. Jadoon was extremely knowledgeable and her firm yet reassuring approach helped me trust her completely. I’m a quite nervous patient and I always inform staff of that plus the fact that I’m on blood thinners! The nurse putting in the cannula took ages and it felt sore! However as I don’t look at the needle going in I didn’t realise what was happening until another nurse saw through the window and came rushing in and pulled the rubber tourniquet off my arm! I looked down and saw that blood was gushing down my arm! I said OMG and was shocked and it sent me into stress

Staff at the practice seem to be unable to distinguish between NHS patients a d those who Are private and paying. Twice i was sent to the wrong waiting area with NHS patients. Only to be later sent to the private waiting area. As a paying patient i expect a certain level of compitance and care. So come on Barlborough, a little bit of interest in your role might help
