I was impressed by the building and my two radiology appointments were combined and seen to earlier than I expected. I waited in the café area, which was roomy and comfortable, until it was time to go to see the consultant. I waited until the appointed time and was seen to on time and very ably. There would have been a long wait for a blood test and CT scan, and I was assured the receptionist would contact me at home about having both the following day at Portland Place. I called the main number in the late afternoon, as I had heard nothing, and the man I spoke to, booked me into Portland Place for the following day. It was a very pleasant experience, and unlike any hospital visit I can remember, as the surroundings were spacious and unintimidating.

From start to finish, the care I received was outstanding. The hospital staff made me feel comfortable and well looked after at every stage, and the standard of care was exceptional. I visited Dr Shaffer on recommendation from a fellow gym member as I developed lumps in both hands. My GP had advised me that they would not treat Dupytrens until my fingers actually began to contract. I had a 30 minute consultation at the Cromwell Hospital which resulted in advice to monitor my hands for 2 months to see if there was any deterioration. Very impressive service. Dr Shaffer was very clear that it was early in the condition. His advice to potentially ease off in the gym to avoid hand trauma was the not the best news for a gym addict! But clearly correct. I will now measure my hands movement and flexibility periodically and revisit if it shows signs of getting worse. Thank you

He explains things thoroughly and clearly, with charm and good humour. He was attentive, and sensitive in ensuring that I received information in as clear and reassuring a manner as possible. At first I was a bit apprehensive going into my first appointment with “a consultant” as didn’t know what to expect. My first birth was quite traumatic so that’s why I was under a consultant for my second baby. But I have to say Sandra made me feel very supported and listened to. She explained everything to me in detail and really listened to what I had to say. She also referred me to a trauma midwife to have a little extra support. I left feeling much happier and am now going into my second birth feeling much more confident and supported in every sense. Couldn’t value this anymore. Thank you

I was a patient at the EDU. I am so so thankful for the care I received. Most of the nursing staff and HCAs were nothing short of phenomenal. At times the staff were however rude and a culture of bullying from staff was present. However this was a minority of the time. When reported and when feedback was given, it was often ignored. Staff was often sourced from the agency who had little understanding of eating disorders or how to treat patients. The food options and quality was dreadful. Overall, the nurses were so so caring and kind and the dietician and consultant were amazing!

This is my 2nd hip replacement with Mr Brew. He listened to my level of disability and terrible pain levels. The dressing pro14 was brilliant, my healing was much quicker. After the dressing was removed I stopped the pain killers ( I was only in paracetamol). I remain pain free. I was very very limited with activities of daily living but now I am starting on a path to being able to walk (properly) again.. The operation has been, honestly, life changing. Thank you for your professionalism Mr Brew and team.

Very easy to sign up and start and all the staff have been lovely.i thought it was too late for me but they have a lot of customers over 50! and I didn't seem to bother them at all which was lovely. My consultant hadnt passed information to the scanning staff even though i asked several times. This resulted in a scan that was pointless and a waste of my money. The whole scanning department looks run down and shabby and the MRI scanner looked out dated compared to others i have used. No privacy in the changing rooms
