Given the complexity of my medical history over the past two years including Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, prolonged hospitalisation, and recent major spinal surgery , I approached the cardiovascular review with understandable anxiety. Your calm, methodical approach and the way you explained each investigation and result in clear, balanced terms made a significant difference. The reassurance provided by the CT coronary angiogram, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and blood results was immensely valuable, but equally important was your clinical judgement in rationalising my medications and recognising that my blood pressure had moved into the low range. That adjustment has already made me feel more confident about my recovery trajectory. I also appreciated how carefully you considered the wider context of my health, recovery, and long-term wellbeing, rather than viewing the results in isolation. It was evident that the plan was tailored specifically to me, not simply to numbers on a report. Thank you for combining clinical excellence with empathy and clear communication. Engagement with Debbie was great always very timely about providing appointment, arranging surgery, sending out letters etc (I see Debbie as being a key extension of the medical service that you provide) I found all of your consultations to be really thorough and well explained and not rushed. I always felt I had sufficient time for questions to be answered in a thorough way. Your letters also explained things in a thorough way that I could easily understand - thank you for that. A few small builds which hopefully will help you build on an excellent service that you currently provide: 1) at my first (and very thorough consultation) you did not have access to my MRI scan you only had access to the report. I question if you had viewed the scan, ahead of the surgery, would you then have had a better view of the issue - would the surgery have been necessary. Although I do appreciate sometimes the saying is treat the patient and not the scan. So I do accept I may be wrong? 2) a minor point your clinics ALWAYS run extremely late. I wonder if appointments should either be extended (as you provide a very thorugh service). Although I suspect the hospitals only allow you so many mins per patient? If that is the case could you consider seeing less patients. I (and I suspect others too) have a really busy job and I found this a little fustrating.

I cannot praise Mr Malek enough. It is no exaggeration when I say that he has changed my life. From our very first meeting he was professional with a warm and friendly manner, and I felt that someone was actually hearing me. After what felt like a battle with my own GP to get to see a consultant, I was daunting going into that fiets appointment, but Mr Malek knew by just looking at how I walked, and the xray, how bad things were for me. He explained everything so I fully understood. What had happened to my hips, pointing out the problem areas on the xray, and what my options were. There was no pressure from Mr Malek, just a calm manner. As this was my second hip replacement I knew what to expect. Mr Malek came to see me in my room before the op, and explained the procedure that was about to take place. He answered any questions I had, and his calm nature left me feeling confident about going into theatre. My operation went as expected and I now have two perfect hips, thanks to Mr Malek. I am so thankful.

This was my first colonoscopy procedure so I didn’t know what to expect and was quite anxious. Looking at the patient reviews on this site beforehand really helped me so I wanted to add my own comments here as well. The 2 day preparation for my late afternoon procedure (fasting and drinking the cleansing medication) was actually the worst part, however I followed the instructions and kept myself very hydrated throughout, that along with a couple of boiled sweets in the last couple of hours to stop the hunger pangs really helped. The clinic staff were all really friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived and talked me through the process throughout so I knew what to expect. I had sedation for the procedure itself which was completely painless, and I got the results quickly. At all times my wellbeing was prioritised by the staff, with 1 to 1 nursing and a very welcome drink and biscuit afterwards. Special thanks from me to Roberta and Dr Khan, and my aftercare nurse whose name I forgot (sorry!)

I had a really positive experience staying at Nuffield Hospital. From admission to discharge, the staff were friendly, welcoming and kind. Everyone I interacted with was attentive, reassuring and helpful, which made a big difference during surgery and early recovery. Even when things were not perfect, such as not having a post-surgery bra in my exact size and sending me home in one that was a bit too big in the cups, the care and effort from the team never wavered. They handled everything with warmth, professionalism and good humour! Overall, I felt well looked after, respected and supported and I am very grateful to the staff who made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm and manageable. 💗

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Disappointed I had to wait 20 minutes for an appointment first thing in the morning, however everything else was positive. Waiting area and treatment room were both tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and professional. Some additional work required and dentist took me through options for treatment and resulting cost. Dental work was very good and pain free(!). Payment all completed to my satisfaction. Overall, a positive experience

MrAal was very professional and explained things very clearly. He informed me of the pros and cons of having an operation without pushing me one way or the other. The only thing was he was a bit optimistic about the recovery period. He said I would be driving within a week. The nurses and the paperwork said at least two weeks before driving. I am a week after the operation and am nowhere near being able to drive.
