Moorfields truly deserves its reputation as the best eye hospital in the world. Mr Pal is an exceptional surgeon,highly knowledgeable, calm, polite, and genuinely caring. I have been living with diabetic retinopathy for a long time, and the fear of losing my sight has been constant. Thanks to Mr Pal’s expertise and treatment, my vision is now stable, and I feel reassured that my eyesight is safe. I am also deeply grateful to the entire team who supported me throughout this journey. Mr Pal’s secretary was wonderful, and the lady I spoke to on the phone took the time to explain every step clearly and patiently. She followed up with a detailed yet easy-to-understand email outlining the treatment and costs, which made a very daunting situation much easier to manage. The nursing staff were equally outstanding—kind, attentive, and reassuring at every stage. While the treatment is expensive, it is absolutely worth it when it comes to preserving your eyesight. After living in fear for so long, this care has given me peace of mind and hope again. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Mr Pal. I discovered him purely by chance through an acquaintance, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Moorfields Eye Hospital and Mr Pal to anyone. I truly hope more people become aware of the outstanding work he does.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Tan, and I was truly impressed by the level of care she provided. She showed exceptional compassion and empathy, listened carefully to every concern, and addressed each point thoroughly and individually. No question felt rushed or unwelcome. This review honestly doesn’t do justice to the standard of service we received. I left the appointment feeling completely reassured and confident that I was in the safest hands. Speaking with her felt like talking to someone I had known for years—she was patient and so attentive. Whenever something wasn’t clear, she took the time to explain it fully, even using drawings to help us understand. A service like that will never be forgotten, thank you so much!

Mr Chris Thomas is the best surgeon a person could wish for. He explains all aspects of your injury and the required follow up procedure in clear precise terms. All concerns were queried one to one with Chris via email. Response was swift and informative. Surgery experience was relaxed and a pleasure knowing that all my concerns were taken on board and acted on. The whole experience was first class, and the outcome has been life changing. I am now back mountain biking and enjoying life pain free for the first time in over a decade. All this after only 11 weeks post op. I cannot rate Chris Thomas highly enough. Communication and competence goes above and beyond any other surgical experience I have encountered.

Great! Excellent overall experience. Facilities in general good, room, cleanliness, staff and procedure. I really am a fan, and if necessity arises would return with a lot of confidence that things would go well. Two small items of feedback : Negative - situation of the centre is not ideal and some patients get a view of a dingy disused courtyard . This is a minor point ! Food could be a little more interesting. Positive - its both reassuring and positive that the whole experience, especially the excellent staff, are so personal. The patient feels that care is tailored specifically to them. Little danger of removing the wrong leg! Warm human interchanges throughout, which is very, very good!

I suffer with high levels of health anxiety however he is so kind, professional and reassuring that I’m always less anxious about an upcoming appointment and always leave feeling much calmer. When you suffer with health anxiety you often feel like medical professionals don’t take you seriously, this is not the case with Dr Friedmann, he always listens to my concerns and does his upmost to provide the best possible care. If you are somebody who worries about their skin or has ongoing skin issues I would definitely recommend booking in with him.

After not getting an appointment with our GP I decided to book an appointment late on in the afternoon when I became concerned with my child. I was able to book online with ease and had the appointment for 35 minutes later. The staff were welcoming and it wasn’t long in the waiting room before we were seen. Fiona made my child and myself feel at ease and did a thorough check. She even offered a follow up MOT check the next day which left me very reassured. This is the third time I’ve used the clinic and would recommend to anyone needing piece of mind when they can’t access their own GP unfortunately..

This was my first visit to your clinic . I was apprehensive but was shown to the waiting area and had to wait only a couple minutes to meet Prof O’Donnell . My daughter ( a nurse ) was with me. Prof O’Donnell set me at ease straight away and explained what he was going to do . He examined both my legs and told no medical procedure was necessary and he would see me again in 3 months. He explained everything clearly and I was glad my daughter was present. I left Prof O’ Donnell’s room very relieved. He was a pleasure and a great person to meet when I was a worried patient. You are able to see a doctor quickly, they have all your notes in front of them and have excellent referal doctors should you need further support. I cannot recomend Dr. Nik Chopra and his team more highly. It also means you take pressure off your local GP who can then spend their time with patients who need to use the NHS service. Think outstanding service and value for money.

After the operation my eye took a few weeks to settle. That meant I got to experience rather more post-op care than might be usual. Not only was the level of care excellent, but I got to see all the same staff most visits. An efficient and friendly team. Special praise due to the optometrist whose explanations where clear and precise and the responses to my questions well considered. This set my mind at rest.
