From my first consultation through to surgery and recovery Mr Malek was extremely thorough throughout. Mr Malek explained everything I needed to know in regard to the damage which was visible through the x ray completed upon my consultation visit. Mr Malek clearly explained what he thought would be my best option and the reasoning behind the replacement of my left hip with ceramic and bioplastic liner ball and socket replacement not titanium due to recent scientific and health findings of old and new components. Mr Malek was extremely professional, very helpful and communicative throughout my experience including post surgery check-ups. I would like to pass on my sincere appreciation for the fantastic care by Mr Malek and his colleagues for the exceptional service provided throughout. If I am unfortunate to require any future surgeries which are part of Mr Malek’s profession I would not hesitate to request Mr Malek and his colleagues knowing their ability from my most recent surgery experience.

I have just returned home after a full hip replacement. We were recommended to St Joseph’s and I can’t speak highly enough of the team and the care I received. Many things stand out. The friendly, yet professional ambience, the obviously good relations and communications across all staff. Although my visit lasted only just over 24 hours, at no time did anything feel rushed or ‘conveyor belt’. Just well organised with a feeling that I was being very well looked after. The room and facilities were first class, comfortable and super clean. The operation itself was clearly explained and went without hitch. There was a lot of experience in that room, not least of the lead consultant and anaesthetist. Recovery was also much quicker than I expected, with excellent follow on from the Physio team and 6 sessions into the future as part of the package. I would finally like to express my thanks to all the staff who have made such a positive difference for me.

From my first consultation through to post-operative follow-up, Dr. Wilson was professional, reassuring, and extremely thorough. I felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process, and the results have been excellent. I spent 3 days at the Royal Free PPU as an in-patient following major surgery and I have nothing but praise for the treatment I recieved from start to finish. My surgery was scheduled speedily, the operation went as well as hoped, and all of the PPU team members who took care of me - Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeeping - were professional but at the same time, kind and reassuring. I was really anxious about the surgery and for me, the care that I received as an in-patient, made the whole experience so much less stressful.

Her advice is as considered as it is cogent; she explains the issues at hand clearly, appropriately tailoring her delivery to match the patient’s understanding, including checks to ascertain that they have accurately processed what she is communicating. She is extremely generous with her time and great at leaving the patient feeling that it really is all about them.

Felt relaxed as soon as I entered the clinical area. Dr Ahmad’s team were calm, professional and respectful throughout the procedure. Dr Ahmad clearly detailed each step of my clinical investigation. Following my investigation Dr Ahmad met me in the recovery area to discuss the outcome of my procedure, answer any questions and then discuss next steps. The surgery is the 2nd cataract operation I have had in 3 months. It is painless and the outcome is unimaginable. Mr Shafiq is a highly skilled surgeon, he has literally turned my vision back to my late 20's before I was required to ear glasses. The facility is far superior to your average NHS hospital. The staff are dedicated, friendly and professional. They are patient and nothing is too much trouble if you have questions or need reassurance. This has been an amazing experience

Dr. Ayazi has performed a series of procedures to help manage my pelvic pain, including pudendal nerve blocks, which have helped to reduce my pain. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Ayazi. I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done and continues to do to help me.

He clearly explained the next stage of my journey and we discussed what to do “if”and “when”. I've come home, clear in my mind, about the next steps and how long it is all likely to take. He asked both myself and my partner if we had any questions before we left.

I underwent a HoLEP operation carried out by Mr Brewin and his team. Both the operation and my recovery have been excellent. Due to potential complications, in the event there were none, the operation was carried out in Salisbury NHS Hospital. Again the staff were friendly and helpful but circumstances at the time in the recovery ward resulted in the washroom facilities being less than acceptably clean.

I arrived a little early but was seen by Toby almost immediately Toby greeted me in a very pleasing manner and after an initial examination removed wax from both ears without causing discomfort. He then carried out an examination of both hearing aids and informed me that they were both in good order. I was finished in a little under fifteen minutes and left delighted with the service.

I received shoulder surgery and was able to be discharged the same day. All of the nursing staff were friendly and informative, the physio treatment and advice was informative. All the staff I came across were very friendly. I especially enjoyed the roast dinner which was hot when served (a new experience). I would highly recommend Mr Khan and the London Independent hospital.

Mr Hammadeh diagnosed the issue immediately and within a month I’d had a procedure which resolved it. Mr Hammadeh was very calm and assured throughout. Gave me a lot of confidence that my treatment was well understood and nothing to worry about. The operation was successful. There was very little pain or inflammation.
