I booked a consultation for my daughter, Olivia P,with Mr Robert Sutcliffe on Monday 24th November 2025 at 2.00pm. With Olivia’s full consent, I handled all communication on her behalf due to her work commitments. Before the appointment, Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary contacted me to ask whether the consultation could be moved to the following week. I explained that we were due to travel abroad for three weeks to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. She advised she would discuss this with Mr Sutcliffe. She later called back to confirm that, in light of our circumstances, Mr Sutcliffe was happy to keep the original appointment — which he honoured. I accompanied Olivia to her consultation. Mr Sutcliffe was exceptionally thorough. He examined her carefully, explained his diagnosis with clarity and compassion, and put both of us completely at ease as he outlined the next steps. He requested a further liver function blood test, which Olivia had done at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton. I asked Nuffield Health to send the results to both Mr Sutcliffe and Olivia’s GP, which was done. Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary informed me as soon as the results were received and assured me they would be reviewed promptly. True to her word, Mr Sutcliffe reviewed the results quickly. His secretary then advised that he had no concerns and that our planned follow-up in the New Year could go ahead as arranged. I would also like to note that, as we were leaving Harborne Hospital, we happened to see Mr Sutcliffe leaving at the same time. It was clear he had come in specifically to see Olivia that day, knowing we were travelling abroad — something he was under no obligation to do. As a family, we found this gesture incredibly thoughtful and deeply appreciated it. Throughout the entire process, Mr Sutcliffe could not have been more helpful, supportive or empathetic. I am truly grateful that we can now go away on our family celebration holiday with complete peace of mind, knowing my daughter is under the care of such a capable, caring and dedicated professional. His initial diagnosis was spot on, demonstrating his deep expertise immediately. He asked all the right questions, ensuring a thorough understanding of my symptoms, and advised me clearly on the best course of action. What truly set Dr. Darr apart was his exceptional level of attention to detail and care. His knowledge in his specialism is, by far, the best I have come across. Very unorganised, got the bill twice with no explanation. Called and had to speak with 3 people and still no one knew what bill was correct. The Surgent secretary told me to ignore one of the invoices which turned out was wrong. First time I arrived for the consultation I was told that the surgent who I was going to see wasn’t there and they advised me to go home. It turned out he was there and waiting for me. Second time they couldn’t find my file and didn’t know what to do or why I was there. 3rd time lucky you would think, I was told to wait in the waiting room and I did without being told there were two waiting rooms and I was in the wrong room and the surgent called me and wondered if I was on my way. On the positive the surgent and the operation was great but I do wish it was a bit more organised and that the information given to the patients was with a follow up to everyone involved.

The King Edward V11 hospital is the best of the best in London. The cleanliness, kindness, fabulously trained and knowledgeable professionals in each and every department are second to none. I’ve been visiting this hospital for more than 45 years, and always had a most positive experience. From the Porters and Reception team to their Consultants and Physiotherapists, they are impossible to fault. On my most recent visit, I visited the imaging department, and was scanned by the amazing Dr Clare Allen, and her team. She was the personification of professionalism, yet also one of the most empathetic Consultants I have ever come across. I can’t recommend her or her team, more highly.

Received urgent call requesting blood test for tolerance to Dye. I Moved appointments for that afternoon to facilitate a flying visit. After arrival kept waiting for 35 minutes until I asked reception as was needed elsewhere and was told phlebotomist would be with me shortly. With Phlebotomist approx 3 minutes, total time 50 minutes and 50 miles traveled Then had to wait 9 days for scan which was only scheduled following chase-up from private GP. On presenting for CT Scan was told that they did not require blood test as procedure did not indicate use of dye. Most unimpressive communication and administration throughout

It was such a brilliant experience. I had treatment for my frozen shoulder and the staff from the receptionists to the consultant to the assistant to the nurses were absolutely brilliant. As a business owner, I strive for this type of customer service and your staff are the best representatives of perfection in their offering. I would like to especially thank the cosultant who carried out the treatment and his assistant (I fainted a few times so forgot their names) who were exceptional. Thank you very much for a challenging evening into such a pleasure.

The London Clinic offers such a comfortable and clean environment, clinical in all the right ways, but still homely and warm. It feels far less “hospital-like” than most medical settings, which really helped me relax. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and genuinely approachable from the moment I walked in. Really simple to order medications. Fairly straightforward experience. The problem starts and ends when the fact that they use Royal mail for deliveries. Had I known, I would have ordered elsewhere. Royal mail consistently mess up on deliveries especially on my area, and it's impossible to get through to customers service (which is non-existent really at Royal Mail).
