I am writing to formally complain about misleading advertising by the clinic Skin55. Their website led me to believe that laser treatments were available at the clinic, and I booked a consultation directly with the clinic, not with any specific doctor. However, upon attending the appointment, I was informed that the clinic did not have the required laser equipment and that not all doctors at Skin55 perform laser treatments. This discrepancy meant that I paid an initial consultation fee of £300, only to then be told that I would need to be referred to another doctor within the same clinic who does provide laser treatments. This second consultation was then quoted at £380. This sequence of events highlights a lack of transparency and constitutes misleading advertising, resulting in unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. I believe that this matter warrants investigation to ensure that Skin55’s practices align with advertising and consumer-protection regulations. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation upon request

I have been receiving treatment following ACL reconstruction (with LET and meniscus repair), and I am genuinely impressed with the level of care and professionalism I have experienced. Lee consistently explains each exercise clearly, checks my progress carefully, and adjusts my programme so that I always feel safe but challenged. His encouragement and attention to detail have made a noticeable difference in my recovery and my confidence. During one of my session, Lee even took me to the gym and guided me through three leg machines, explaining how this next stage will help me progress. His support and reassurance that I’ll start seeing big improvements mean a lot to me. I truly appreciate the time, patience, and expertise he brings to every session. I feel well supported and motivated, and I am very grateful for the high-quality care he provides. I am very much looking forward to continuing my recovery with Lee.

Kingsbridge Diagnostic and Treatment Centre

I travelled by car from the north west to the Kingsbridge Diagnostic Centre, tucked in behind the Kings Hall. Parking was difficult to find, and as the letter instructed me to arrive 15 minutes early, I anxiously clambered out, leaving my husband to park the car while I located the building and the correct floor. The reception staff were mediocre at best, though I did manage to get checked in. Once called through, the procedure itself was completed and an outcome provided. However, the consultant was abrupt and condescending. While I appreciate that private healthcare is under pressure due to NHS waiting times, this is not the standard of service I would expect for something I am paying for. The assistant involved in the process appeared either tired or lacking job satisfaction in their role. Altogether, the atmosphere was dispiriting, and I could not wait to leave the building and be on my way.

We first saw Dr Tim around 18 months ago for a Fit for Fertility consultation and knew from that point that if we did need to have IVF, we wanted to do it under his care. After months of trying, appropriate investigations and lots of reassurance from Tim, we went ahead with IVF and couldn’t have felt more supported throughout - not just with in-person and video consultations when we needed, but also the quick emails in between for the inevitable, forgotten-to-ask questions. Tim has shown genuine kindness and empathy to us as patients, providing a high degree of personalised care which we are incredibly grateful for. Aside from working with Dr Tim we have had an amazing overall experience at The Lister in Chelsea. The whole team from reception, nursing, accounts, other consultants and sonographers (Kerry in particular) have made what is a stressful few months all the more manageable.

Mr Abou-Chedid performed my radical robotic prostatectomy, and I feel extremely fortunate to have been under his care. He is a genuinely kind and approachable consultant who combines the highest levels of professionalism with a warm, compassionate manner. He explained everything clearly and patiently, ensuring I fully understood and answering every question. His focus is not only on removing the cancer but also on achieving the best possible long-term quality of life for his patients. Thanks to his outstanding surgical skill and expertise, my operation was a complete success: the cancer was entirely removed with clear margins, and I have experienced no incontinence and no impairment of sexual function. I cannot recommend or thank Mr Abou-Chedid highly enough.

Mr Raza has been incredible. From the first appointment he understood my pain, other symptoms and the impact it was all having on me as a person. He gave me several options and I ended up having excision of endometriosis surgery with him early October. To say Mr Raza and this surgery changed my life is an understatement. I have gone from needing a walking stick to walking greater distances than I have in years and my pain has greatly subsided. His team have been so supportive of me and my husband throughout this journey (Sukhy and Denia are amazing too). I have had some awful experiences with other gynaecologists and endometriosis specialists, but I will continue to recommend Mr Raza to everyone suffering with this awful disease. Thank you so much 😊

I was told to report to the Heart Centre, which I did, then tried to catch the attention of the only staff member I could see who was someone eating her breakfast from a bowl. The encounter was not welcoming or friendly. I was told to go downstairs to a different door, with no sign on. When I did finally find the right place the nurse was very friendly and kind, and everything went very well after that. The nurse and the consultant were very good in all they did. My letter of admission insisted that I was 'nil by mouth' so I arrived at the hospital thirsty and hungry. When there I was informed that in fact I could eat and drink whatever I wanted- that there was no restriction. I wish I had been informed correctly in the first place.

I had a very good first visit to Harley Hearing and wish I had known about and visited this practice when I first had hearing problems 25 years ago! Now I feel very grateful to the senior clinician whom I saw. She put me at ease immediately and she understood the problems I had been having with my current hearing aids. She gave me a hearing test and explained clearly to me the reasons for the loss and suggested a maker that would be able to supply a hearing aid which would give me much improved hearing. I trust her judgment and look forward to wearing my new aids. All the staff were friendly and kind and supportive and, having had experience of both NHS and other private audiologists, I can recommend this practice unreservedly.

I loved the day staff. Ikram and Sennecca treated me with such kindness and so much support. I unfortunately was discharged after a week as I have other issues that need addressing before I am able to continue the treatment. The night staff in my experience have not been very attentive to my distress. As nights are the hardest time for me this was quite a big issue for me. Dr Veale is great and really knows what he is talking about. The rooms feel like a hotel and the program is scary but excellent here. Food is another issue for me and the kitchen are very accommodating to needs but the general menu is very eclectic. Overall I would say this is a very good hospital and I've seen patients with real change here.

My whole experience with Mr Holton was exceptional from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering a hip replacement. Mr Holton has a wonderful bedside manner, extremely understanding and always gives plenty of time to answer questions and give full explanations. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and uses the latest technology and techniques. The procedure itself was uneventful and completely comfortable and stress free. My scar has healed beautifully and was the nearest one I have had (and I’ve had a lot of surgeries). I am now pain free and living my best life! Thank you Mr Holton for an incredible experience and a job very well done!

Absolutely brilliant, from the moment i had the pre-op all the staff from the reception right upto and including the surgeon Mr phaltankar are great - they put you at ease the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out and considering I had a full knee replacement I didn’t think I would walking so well even with crutches and after four weeks I didn’t need them the procedure was that good. My thanks to all the staff at highfield hospital and a special thanks to Mr phaltankar who gave me my mobility back.
