Miss Shazia Sharif

Miss Shazia Sharif is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon based in Hertfordshire, with specialist expertise in Paediatric Urology and General Paediatric Surgery. She provides expert surgical care for a wide range of paediatric and adolescent conditions, combining clinical excellence with a compassionate, family-centred approach.

Her areas of expertise include the management of inguinal, umbilical, and epigastric hernias, hydroceles, foreskin conditions (including circumcision), undescended, retractile, and ascending testes, and lower urinary tract symptoms. In addition, Miss Sharif offers procedures for lumps and bumps, ingrowing toenails, and pilonidal sinus disease in adolescents.

Miss Sharif is currently a Consultant Paediatric General and Urological Surgeon at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT), a role she has held since 2022. Prior to this, she gained extensive experience through positions at The Royal London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, where she completed her fellowship in paediatric surgery.

Miss Sharif holds a BSc in Philosophy (First Class) from King’s College London, an MBBS in Medicine from Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine, an MA in Literature and Medicine from King’s College London, and a PGCE in Clinical Education from The University of Edinburgh.
