Mr Paul Checkley has over 25 years experience in diagnostic and rehabilitative clinical audiology and is currently one of the Partners at Harley Street Hearing, London. He specialises in the fitting, fine tuning of hearing instrument technology, audiological rehabilitation and hearing protection.
Previously, he has had 15 years experience within the NHS as a Clinical Scientist (audiology) at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital in London, involved in clinical research and provision of scientific input to the Adult Audiological Rehabilitation team. He lectured to MSc level at University College, London in audiological science and audiological medicine.
He gained international experience working in a management role at the Swiss Headquarters of a world-leading hearing instrument manufacturer. Here he was involved in field study coordination, International product application and paediatric fitting concepts.
Mr Checkley is a member of the British Academy of Audiology and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. He has sat on the council for the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists and currently sits on the Medical Committee of the British association for Perfroming Arts Medicine.

Paul is an extremely competent and knowledgeable audiologist with a most relaxing and friendly, yet professional manner conveying in me a sense of total confidence that I was in good hands.
Paul has always offered excellent treatment and advice, often going above and beyond. I have sent a number of friends who have been delighted. One particular friend had a real problem and Paul treated her most kindly and was able to make an improvement for her.
Paul is very professional in his approach. His explanation of how the hearing test was to be carried out was excellent. He was clear when he reviewed the test results and when he explained the options available. He was open to hearing the patient's opinions and thoughts. I would recommend him to anyone who asked.
He is so natural and ego-free! Great interpersonal skills. Very relaxed. Very clear. Gives the impression he enjoys his work, and this communicates. I found the the whole session fascinating as he explained how the aids worked, and enjoyed his company.
