would like to make a complaint following an IPL treatment I had on 21/01/26. I had a consultation with Dr Branka and a subsequent telephone conversation with Krupa. I repeatedly asked this whether was risk of my symptoms being exacerbated by the treatment. I was repeatedly reassured that this would not happen. I had email exchanges with Krupa where she assured me repeatedly that the greatest reaction that I would get would be mild reddening around the eye lid for 30 mins. I had explained that I had a job interview the following day and was advised that would not be any reaction or issue. I was reassured both by email and in person on the day. My skin had a significant reaction to the procedure. The possibility of such a reaction to such a procedure had never been explained or even suggested. On meeting Dr Branka post procedure, she told me that my eyes weren’t dry, and in fact were significantly better. She said the tear break up was 7 seconds and that there had been an improvement, however I would like a second opinion on this, as they feel dryer and are visibly red, whereas they were not immediately beforehand. The visibly look and feel much worse than prior to the procedure. I completely feel like I’m being fobbed off. When I said to Dr Branka that I was not made aware of the risks she cheerfully old me that I signed the consent form and that of course there is the possibility of this reaction particularly with my very think skin. I was completely unaware that I had thin skin or that there could have been such a complication which would exacerbate my skin and eye problems. I explained that had a risk of this IPL been ‘worsening of dry eye symptoms, worsening of ocular rosacea/ rosacea’ I would have NEVER had the procedure. Dr Branka just said of course there was a risk and told me it happens in those people with rosacea. This had NEVER been mentioned in the consultation prior to the procedure. My eyes were not significantly bothersome prior to the treatment, I did it as a preventative to improve the gland and to avoid the dry eye disease progressing. When I asked Dr Branka what next in terms of how I manage this now worse situation she said that I can only use cotton flannels and saline as I am reactive to most things. She has told me I need to pay privately for a dermatologist for advice. This is not only causing me health problems but costing me money to resolve this. I have already spent over £700 for the consultation with dr Branka and the procedure! I am left anxious, distressed and upset by this experience and the ongoing problems. It has caused further issues with my skin. The rosacea was not posing a problem prior to the IPL and while I had been prescribed Soolantra and Azealic acid I had not needed to take them as I was not experiencing a flare up. I do not know where to go now for help, advice or to resolve this issue. I am really upset as my eyes and skin have worsened as a result and I am left alone to deal with it or pay out for help to try to correct it. Again, to reiterate, I would never have had IPL if I had known there was any risk of worsening symptoms. This was never explained, even when I explicitly asked initially. Dr Branka from from the outset said I was a good candidate but I needed to check with a dermatologist due to family skin cancer. I had checked this and the dermatologist said it would not be a problem from the perspective of skin cancer. I would like another opinion. I would like advice treatment and next steps. Not from dr Branka as all faith has gone.

Marc and his whole team at Sage were fantastic from beginning to end throughout the whole process. Once it was identified I had a problem with my prostate which needed to be addressed, the Sage support team quickly kicked in and started the process. The initial face to face meeting with Marc was first class, which put both myself and my wife at ease. This was followed up with a detailed breakdown of my status and required next steps. There was a very tight window for him to operate before Christmas; but this was dependant on the scan images being made available as very short notice. His team were tireless in their pursuit of the images form the NHS. Only because of their diligence were the images were delivered in a timely manner to Marc and the hospital. On the day of the operation I was visited by Marc and the anesthetist prior to surgery, which was a great success. I was seen again by Marc the following day and then allowed home later that day. All of the team who looked after me were outstanding and did a great job. The post surgery follow-up and care has been equally good. His team are always available and I have seen Marc twice post- operation. His guidance, support and professionalism has been outstanding. As well as being a great surgeon Marc is empathetic to the mental and emotional toll that a cancer diagnosis and surgery take. For me he is at the top of his game in this field and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone in a similar position.

I arrived circa 15min before my appointment time as requested and was greeted courteously by the reception staff before being lead to an examination room to undergo a basic check of my eyesight and health check/questionnaire. On retuning to the waiting area I was almost immediately greeted by Mr Bhargava. The consolation was just 5min after the appointment time, which is excellent. The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Mr Bhargava then went on to detail treatment and advice in a concise but detailed way covering all aspects very well. I left feeling that the visit was well worthwhile and that I had been treated well in all aspects of the consolation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Bhargava to friends and colleagues.

Mum was almost blind wearing really thick glasses, and couldn't see at all without them. She had a few complications with her eyes but Dr Stewart and team endeavoured to give her as much sight back as possible, even if just slight. After her cataracts surgery on the 'good' eye, she is like a new woman. At nearly 78yrs old, mum doesn't need to wear her glasses for the first time since she was young. She can see clearer and further away. Close up is still difficult but we trust that after both eyes are done, and potentially glasses again with alot less prescription, she will be able to see so much better. She's had no pain or anything. The drs were brilliant and we can't thank them enough. This is the best thing to have happened to mum who was petrified to get her eyes done. She says he is the best Dr I have ever seen and I'm so happy.

I had a Teams meeting today with Angela about my nutrition, as I’m looking for ways to gain weight. She was completely non judgemental, incredibly warm, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole conversation. She never made me feel bad about my eating habits and was very kind and understanding in the way she worked with me. She gave me really sound advice and clear, practical feedback on how I can improve things going forward, particularly around healthy weight gain. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the meeting. I half expected to be told to cut out lots of foods and start eating things I didn’t like but instead, she took the time to understand what I like and don’t like to eat. He instilled a level of calm and reassuring professionalism during our initial consult that gave me confident moving forward to understand the diagnosis and next steps. Further, he personally walked with me to ensure I had a same day MRI appointment amid a back to back schedule. Throughout the whole process of diagnosis, which involved an endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT colongraphy, Dr Lerman was exceptionally clear about what was involved, what was discovered and what that meant; ie, how I should understand, interpret and act upon the diagnosis and findings. He explains things thoroughly and clearly, with charm and good humour. He was attentive, and sensitive in ensuring that I received information in as clear and reassuring a manner as possible. I had been experiencing right knee pain to the extent I struggled to climb ladders and playing tennis became almost impossible. Mr Shepherd took me through my scan results with clear explanations so I fully understood the condition of my knee and how this may progress. He then explained all options available to me, from simple pain management to total knee replacement. I opted for total knee replacement. The surgical team were amazing throughout and the result is that I was up and about the next day and back on court in six months and playing competitive tennis again in under twelve months.
