From the moment we arrived, everything was calm, organised, and incredibly well run, making what can be an overwhelming experience feel reassuring and even enjoyable. The facilities are outstanding, the rooms are beautiful, and the level of comfort is unmatched — but what really makes The Portland special is the people. The care we received from the midwifery team was absolutely exceptional. In particular, midwives/nurses Lucy and Anna were truly wonderful. They were kind, attentive, reassuring, and incredibly supportive, always taking the time to check in, explain everything, and make us feel completely cared for. Their warmth and professionalism made such a difference to our experience and helped us feel confident and supported every step of the way. The aftercare was equally impressive, with genuine attention to both mother and baby. Every member of staff went above and beyond, and nothing ever felt rushed. We are so grateful for the outstanding care we received and would highly recommend The Portland Hospital to anyone looking for exceptional maternity care in a calm, luxurious, and supportive environment.

Went to see mr wee sim coor about a cancerous tumer on my top left upper back and he said he can and is willing to do a wide local exsision and we arranged for it to be done a week afer he were very gentle and the scar is very neat and tidy which is expected as he is also a cosmetic surgeon and he gave me the date when to come back for results to see if he got it all that I did 2 weeks later and he managed to get it all the nurses were very good mr wee sim cool were very good and also the receptionists are very good sorry for missing names out but dulcie lord is very good at her job it is well worth paying the money to go private and I will be back to beardwood if I have any other issues anyway merry christmas happy new year and all the best to all the beardwood team many thanks mr shane t

I have received nothing but the upmost care from all staff. The parking is simple on arrival and great to have disabled spaces immediately outside for collection post op! I have always been called through to my appointments on time and at times even earlier if I've arrived early myself. The staff that have stood out to me and taken wonderful care are Louise, Ruby, Jessie in the surgery department and Sandy in the post care department. Everywhere is always clean, with a warm welcome from reception. It's a lovely touch to use the drinks machine in the waiting area, the hot chocolate is delicious. I cannot fault any of my treatment or care by the Mcindoe staff, its exceptional.

We first went 4 years ago with our first son and had 4 scans. We are pregnant again and just had our final scan which would be our 3rd/4th this pregnancy and every time we go the ladies are just a pleasure. So kind, so thorough and just lovely lovely people. We had Lisa today asked she is so nice, patient and a lovely person. There is usually a young girl at reception who is lovely but today there was a different lady who possibly was having a bad day as she was not welcoming not friendly. Possibly didn’t want to be at work and she had the impression she couldn’t be bothered. But it wouldn’t stop me from going as everyone else is always great

My experience during my visit for day surgery was very good overall. The nurses and physiotherapist were young but capable. The anaesthetists were very helpful both before and after my operation. The surgeon was brisk and efficient. I was perhaps a little surprised that he didn't come to see me after the operation. The quality of the snack I was offered after the operation was poor: crisps and a sandwich with stodgy bread. Hardly nutritious recovery food!

The hospital was very clean, very friendly and very welcoming. I was shown to my room, given a menu for dinner that night as I was staying over. The staff were all very polite and attentive, even going above and beyond to get me a chocolate milkshake when the kitchen had shut. Very nice people and a very good stay after my first time going under anaesthetic
