I can’t recommend Mr. Richard Scawn highly enough. Before meeting him, I had seen three other surgeons and even booked the operation twice but ended up cancelling because I didn’t feel fully confident. From my very first appointment with Richard, everything felt different. He was calm, kind, and incredibly reassuring — never pushy, never rushed — and both my husband and I instantly felt we were in safe hands. I trusted him completely, and I’m so glad I did. I’m now three weeks post–lower lid blepharoplasty and absolutely over the moon with the results. My bruising was minimal and disappeared quickly, and the scar line is genuinely impeccable. I’m 39, so my skin is still fairly young, but even with a magnifying mirror I cannot see the incision. The work Richard has done is truly amazing. Professor Farhadi performed a thigh flap breast reconstruction for me two years ago, and a follow up nipple reconstruction with fat transfer a year ago. While this is a more complex surgery with longer recovery than some, I couldn't be happier with the result. The breast feels and looks completely natural, and is a perfect match for my natural breast. The scar on my thigh has faded completely and is positioned in a way that is unnoticeable. I trust Professor Farhadi completely. He performed by original reconstruction in 2012, which was an implant that also looked great but unfortunately ruptured ten years later due to long term effects from radio therapy. There was no question in my mind of using another surgeon for the follow up procedure. He is a perfectionist and has an excellent eye. He also explains everything very clearly, which helped me make the decision for which route to take both times.

I had serious pain when walking for a short length of time. I had a knee replace 8 weeks ago and am so pleased with the result. The journey had its ups and downs, high spots and low spots but overall very worth it. If you can, get your legs as strong as possible beforehand. Do the exercises they give you religiously. My walking is pain free but it will be another month or so before I can get back on the hills. As an active 72 year old that is important to me. Going up and down stairs still needs work and my energy levels are slowly recovering. The Yorkshire Clinic was excellent and staff very professional.

It was a really welcoming and professsional. Ms Ray was very friendly and welcoming. She put my daughter as ease. There was a slight confusion with the xray as my daughter didn’t realise she was meant to drop the form round to the x Ray department so we were waiting in the main reception for a while before I asked how long it would be. However it was quick to get the xray and bloods. My only issue was the parking. There were so many areas for consultants, disabled, oncology, staff, which is understandable but it meant we had to drive around 3 times to find a space.

The check up today went really well and I was given reassurance and advice toward looking after my eyes by the thourough Cathedral Eye knowledgeable and experienced staff. The different tests and mannerly handovers following scans etc. from start to finish of appointment are seamless. And the appointment starts so well being welcomed in at the front desk, through too being checked out so that nothing is forgotten from eye drops to appointment times leaving nothing to chance.

This was for me reassuring as the risks were made clear. On the operation visit and stay there was no attempt to ‘sell’ the procedure but explain the possible outcomes. It was a good experience, but one I would liked not to have gone through!
