The Portland Hospital was a wonderful place to safely deliver our beautiful baby boy. Our experience was personalised, with very thorough and caring professionals. Our obstetrician, Dr Kenga Sivarajah, was incredibly knowledgable and kind: someone we could trust implicitely and who was there throughout the entire 22 hour labour to ensure a safe delivery. The Anaesthetic team were quick and very effective with the epidural, ensuring that my pain was well managed throughout, with no side effects from the epidural. The nursing staff, both on the delivery ward and maternity ward, were amazing. Ellie and Scarlet were there every step to make sure I was safe and comfortable during labour. On the birth ward, we had regular nurse check ins and a lot of help with breastfeeding positions and latch. There was the option of the night nursery as well, which we elected not to use. The room was very comfortable with a trundle bed for my partner to sleep and a private bathroom (hugely appreciated immediately post birth). The food was excellent, with an extensive menu. The kitchen was a bit slow on some of the orders, but otherwise very good. Overall, our Portland experience was wonderful and we would hope to deliver there again in future.

I recently took my 3-year-old to Kidswell when he was feeling unwell, and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. We were able to get a same-day appointment, which was excellent. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The facilities are clearly designed with kids and their parents in mind—bright, comfortable, and reassuring. The doctor who saw us was efficient, thorough, and great with my son, taking the time to make sure we understood everything. The rooms were spotless and well-organized, which added to the sense of calm during a stressful moment. Overall, a very positive and reassuring experience. I took my daughter for her heart check and heart ultrasound following her treatment of strep A to rule out any complications. Doctor examined her thoroughly and asked me about my concerns to better understand the reason of my visit. Then she did the ultrasound explaining and showing on the screen my daughter's heart and what she was looking at. She was very kind and gentle with my daughter who just woke up after her nap and was a bit unsettled. It made her feel quite comfortable and relaxed after a while. After ultrasound doctor shared her thoughts and notes followed our visit. Doctor is very knowledgeable and explains everything in a clear way. I was very happy that we have chosen her.

I arrived 10 minutes early and found a parking space opposite the main entrance. I reported to reception who directed me the check in where I was booked in and directed to the waiting area. Only a couple of minutes later I was called for my scan, shown where to put my belongings and then directed to the MRI scanning room. Here I was explained thoroughly what would happen and then I went into the scanner for 15-20 minutes. When I came out I was told my results would be sent to my doctor in about 2 weeks and then advised I was free to go home. I have no complaints and don’t think you could improve on the service. Very well done to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bernie.

Nobody knew how I would receive the X Ray results. The radiologist asked if I was seeing a consultant at the clinic - I wasn’t scheduled to see one. The guy on the first floor desk didn’t know how images could be shared with me and suggested I talk to the reception desk on the ground floor to get a CD burnt - I wanted images to be sent as I don’t have a CD reader. The ground floor desk confused too until a senior person stepped in to let me know about the app. I was told that I would receive images via the app but I cannot see appointments or images in the app. The experience was very confusing. Suggest more staff training on the app

It was a really welcoming and professsional. Ms Ray was very friendly and welcoming. She put my daughter as ease. There was a slight confusion with the xray as my daughter didn’t realise she was meant to drop the form round to the x Ray department so we were waiting in the main reception for a while before I asked how long it would be. However it was quick to get the xray and bloods. My only issue was the parking. There were so many areas for consultants, disabled, oncology, staff, which is understandable but it meant we had to drive around 3 times to find a space.

As per usual every part of my visit is very professional and all the communication is prompt and informative, it is good to receive a copy of the progress. My last visit was on Saturday 6th December and it was a review of the laser treatment on my left eye - I was delighted when the review confirmed that the pressure on my eye had fallen to normal - this was a 50% reduction. I only had to put one eye drop at night. This was very professional and I have a six monthly review in my diary for 2026. I would have no problems at all in recommending Cathedral Eye Clinic.

All staff, including the doctor we saw, we're very friendly, made us feel at ease, and the procedure appears to have been carried out smoothly. The only thing I'd fault is the communication before the appointment, particularly the emails. They include a misleading price, the suggestion that a follow-up would not be required (when we understand that is completely normal) and we'd understood that we could/should be in the room when the procedure was taking place, which was then quite strongly advised against.

I have been seeing Dr Newman for about five years following a diagnosis of MGUS which needs to be monitored regularly because it can develop into Myeloma. Following my blood tests, I see Dr Newman at the Brighton Nuffield Hospital and he carefully explains what everything means. I will continue to see him every six months and have no hesitation in recommending him. I must also mention that his long-standing private secretary, Jude, is amazing - she is so helpful and kind and calm at all times.
