There was a lot of waiting for drops to take effect as part of the treatment but the fact that everytime one of the staff passed they acknowledged you so you didn't feel you had been forgotten, a big plus in my book. There were many times when my DOB and name were checked. This made me feel secure as I think it made me feel that any mix up was very unlikely, another plus in my book. During the set up for the operation I was asked to look into the very bright light. Not a problem for the eye being operated on but keeping my other eye open as requested was difficult for me. Perhaps some form of shading for the other eye could be provided so that the natural instinct to close that eye could be eliminated and thus the natural effect of doing that affecting the eye being operated on. During the operation the surgeon needed to speak to me at times. I am hard of hearing and didn't have my hearing aids in. At times it was hard to hear the surgeon. The issue was worse when the "pump" noise was going. Some of this was the fact that she was a lady with a higher pitch voice, whereas I could easily hear the male voice in the room. I have the same issue hearing my wife for the same reason (I claim!). Perhaps it would be good if the surgeon established if there is a hearing problem and if there is, the voice volume could be raised. I realise that this is my problem but I cannot be unique in this case given the age profile of you patients. This visit was my second eye so I knew what was happening. However, thinking back to my first visit perhaps a slightly better introduction could be given to new patients as to what to expect with the intervals between patient staff interactions to help limit any anxiety they may feel. Also a bit more information regarding the after effects of the operation could help and anxiety at that time. I realise you will wince at this but I found a YouTube video of american origin that went through the after effects step by step and this relieved me as I realised what was happening to me was normal. Overall I was very pleased with the atitude of all the staff I met and the service they provided. Thank you very much.

I have just had private cataract surgery at Newmedica Norwich, it was an exemplary experience, the staff were so welcoming and the surgeon, Mr Anas Injarie fully explained the procedure and delivered an amazing result. I no longer need contact lens, which I have been wearing for 50 years. Two months earlier Newmedica removed the cataract in my other eye under the NHS. That was a wonderful experience , going private for my remaining eye gave me the flexibility of appointment dates and a premium lens for the best possible vision. I now regret delaying the surgery, I now have two new eyes.

Prof Chris Eden was all that I had been led to believe, understanding and sympathetic but wholly focused and professional. He explained the process and outlined the risks of the proposed surgery in clear layman's language that I could understand.. He did not sugar the pill! He carefully reviewed my medical history and identified several issues upon which he has requested additional investigation. I came away totally confident not only in his personal ability but also in the decisions that I have now made regarding my treatment plan. First impressions are very good.

The hospital staff on the ward, were absolutely brilliant. Everyone who were involved in my care, were very kind and very efficient. I couldn't have wished for anything better. Mr Davidson is a brilliant surgeon and I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me and my well being. I'm hoping to have my left hip replaced in the near future and I only want Mr Davidson to do the operation,he has my full trust. A very dedicated surgeon. Thank you Spire hospital.

Disappointed I had to wait 20 minutes for an appointment first thing in the morning, however everything else was positive. Waiting area and treatment room were both tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and professional. Some additional work required and dentist took me through options for treatment and resulting cost. Dental work was very good and pain free(!). Payment all completed to my satisfaction. Overall, a positive experience

He spoke comprehensively about my area of concern and took the time to ease my concerns and provide a detailed explanation with compassion and empathy. He also provided clear next steps, and again spoke with compassion and kindness about what that will entail. I am very grateful to Mr Alan Osborne for his expert assessment, kindness and compassion - thank you very much.

Professor Griffin pointed out potential problems with my hip replacement on my last visit and recommended a spect scan. The scan revealed that there was no loosening of my replacement hip and we agreed that no intervention is necessary, at least for the time being. Everything was well explained and my questions were answered in a way I could understand. A perfect experience for me as a patient.

Apprehensive about a possible root canal - antibiotics first but they indicated I did need a root canal. Excellent treatment - didn’t feel the anaesthetic or any pain regardless of all that was ‘going on’ in my mouth. Dentist and dental nurse were very kind throughout the hours treatment re relaxing jaw. Returning for stage two but not apprehensive about it. Highly recommend.

1 attended Welbeck Clinic for a Transoesophageal Cardiography completed by Dr Kanaganayagam. The doctor was friendly, helpful and professional and made the whole procedure very straightforward. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Kanaganayagam and Welbeck Clinic to other patients. Postoperative care was excellent with good communication and results.

From initial clinical preliminary diagnosis to start of medication each step was explained to you with care and respect. Future tests were also explained which form part of recovery and correct treatment. Done so in a way which exemplifies good patient practice rare these days. A kind and caring doctor who did not make you feel rushed or just a number.

This is the following morning I have had a letter confirming the above and a copy has gone to my Doctor in Brightlingsea

I had never had acupuncture treatment before. Dr. Bordbar clearly explained the treatment to me. I have had six sessions of acupuncture and it has helped the condition with my legs. The clinic always has quiet piano music in the background which is very relaxing. Dr Bordbar is a very pleasant fellow and I would recommend him to anybody.
