I have been under the care of Professor Faiz for approximately 18 months, during which I underwent major and complex surgery performed by Professor Faiz himself. This followed almost two decades of severe inflammation in the bowels, which had resulted in a very aggressive disease with numerous complications. When I first met Professor Faiz, it quickly became clear that he had an exceptional understanding of the progressive nature of my condition, as well as its many intricacies and complications—far beyond any other consultant or surgeon I had previously spoken to. Professor Faiz was extremely thorough in conducting tests and assessments to gain a complete picture of my situation. He then developed a clear surgical plan, carefully considering the best approach while prioritising the elimination of all possible risks. Professor Faiz also collaborates with highly skilled and experienced colleagues, whom he involved at the appropriate stages of my care without hesitation. His secretary has likewise been outstanding and extremely helpful. On several occasions after surgery, I was able to contact her and receive a prompt response from Professor Faiz, which greatly helped to alleviate my concerns. In addition to being exceptionally talented in his field, Professor Faiz is also deeply caring. He understands the human aspect of living with complex conditions and the profound impact they can have on people’s lives. In summary, Professor Faiz is a highly experienced and skilled surgeon who prioritises minimising risk and achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. He is supported by an excellent team. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have met Professor Faiz during what was a very challenging and worrying time, and I could not have asked for better care.

I was informed in the email sent for my first appointment that the consultation would take approx one to one and a half hrs maybe more if I was having tests. I saw the consultant and had the tests, this took no more than 10-15 minutes. In my experience of having private consultation I don’t think this was a consultation, I was told someone will call me and give me details of the treatment, I was not given a time or day when this phone call would take place. I tried to ask questions about the treatment but was told they would explain all to me in the phone call. I called next day as I had other commitments the following days and weeks and may have missed their call. I was given the information about the treatment on the phone, I asked if I was paying for this phone call and was told that I would not be charged. I was charged and paid for the tests on the day, after the phone call I later received an invoice for the consultation of £300, so basically I was charged for a phone consultation as I don’t believe I got a consultation on the day that warranted this amount of money. I am really disappointed with this kind of service, I believe if I’m paying for a private consultation I should be given the time face to face so that I can ask questions and understand the treatment that I will be paying for. This was not NHS where you are only allocated a small amount of time, which is why I am so disappointed with this service and the costs which is unwarranted.

Nicola Hood has been a diamond in a coal mine for me personally. She opened my mind so gently that I never even felt it happen. Her manor is so calming and her abilities to shine light and logic onto what for me was the unexplained has taken me to a place where i can begin to regain control of a very important aspect of my life. Nicola seems to have a very natural talent of getting to the route of things without a feeling of invasion into your private feelings. I was embarrassed about the way i was feeling when i first spoke with Nicola and I am still amazed how easy she was to talk to and how quickly she understood and clarified things for me. Thanks to Nicola I am on a new path, with a different mind set going forward and with all the tools she presented to me I am now determined to honor her invested passion and emotional input by successfully conquering my fears and challenges. I can honestly say that alone i would have not been able to get back to where i want to be but Nicola has opened this door for me and shown me that it is achievable. My future now seems clearer and hopefully by me holding up my end of the commitment I shall be riding my motorcycle again and i look forward to the spring of 2026 where I can thank Nicola from behind my motorcycle handlebars. I had my fifth planned C-section with Dr. Sotiris Nicholas, and understandably I was quite stressed going into it. From the very beginning, however, he did everything possible to put me at ease and truly made the experience positive and reassuring. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful—for example, he avoided me having to endure a double needle prick when the lady came to collect the baby’s cord blood. Throughout the procedure, he explained every step clearly, letting me know exactly what he was doing and what to expect, which helped me feel calm and in control. As a lovely bonus, he also took beautiful photos for us in the operating theatre, which we will treasure. I am extremely grateful for his care, professionalism, and kindness, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for such an important moment.

Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

We were lucky enough to get into the appointment before our allotted time. Mr Mohammad seemed like a very nice person, but I felt very rushed, I wasn’t shown the MRI scan, The situation was not explained to us in depth,just offered options of an injection or surgery involving “metal work” which scared me somewhat. So I chose the injection as seemed a less scary choice to start with. We were told this would be put forward, then we left , all taking about five minutes, not really very reassuring. Hopefully I may get another chance for someone to explain what the operation with the “ metal work” would involve. So I would feel more confident with what needs to be done

Dr Abdalla grasped the seriousness of my gallbladder problem within minutes and explained why I needed urgent surgery in a clear, calm and compassionate manner. I felt confident in her diagnosis and was so grateful to her and her secretary, Maya, for taking care of all the necessary arrangements. My situation was complex and the three hour procedure challenging, but I felt I was in safe hands throughout. Dr Abdalla is an extremely competent physician and surgeon with a very human touch. She and Maya have been supportive all the way through to my discharge. I cannot praise Dr Abdalla and her team highly enough.

Dr. Theodora Kalentzi put me at ease and made me feel able to talk about my menopause symptoms without any judgement or embarrassment. I was able to discuss my symptoms on how they were affecting me and my life. For the first time in ages I had hope for getting my life back with the help of HRT. Dr. Kalentzi provided me with all the information and options with clear advice and care. My first visit was a number of years ago now and I regularly visit for follow up appointments to discuss any issues. I have my sanity and my life back thanks to Dr. Kalentzi for compassion and caring.

as ever, the administration has let your business down. i had an MRI scan at Cleveland Victoria at 1000hrs and the outcome should have been given to Neurologist Dr Richard Perry. Having had more than 35 minutes consultation, i asked about the MRI scan and it had not been sent to him. as a result, we had to have a lunch around the corner and had to return an hour later to continue the consultation. I have complained a number of times about the poor administartion. this is yet another.

Mr Sedra is an amazing surgeon. He looked after my father very well. He is a surgeon with Ethics and he has excellent bedside manners and very empathic. From day 1 until my father was discharged he was updating us regularly about his progress and his recovery. He didn’t even charge us and waived his fees because I am a doctor and this is very rare and not many people do that. I can’t thank him more than that and he is a real gentleman and a great surgeon.
