Dr Corbett deserves 6/5 stars! I cannot begin to thank him enough for how much he's helped me. I have been struggling with something for the past 13 years and been dismissed by endless doctors and made to cope with my symptoms. After 1 consultation with Dr Corbett he believed he knew what could be causing my symptoms and gave me a very effective treatment. I am now able to live my life again and I am so incredibly grateful! He is so caring, knowledgeable, makes you feel heard, and is simply one of the best doctors I have ever come into contact with. Thank you again Dr Corbett.

I first met Dr Corbett in March 2024; he told me that there would need to be a process to diagnose the root cause of my issue the result of the process & dealing with Dr Corbett has been truly life changing. Background to the issue, for around 10 years I had been suffering from increasingly bad symptoms of IBS, this was the diagnosis from a number of medical specialists, who advised it was my diet & advised the FODMAP diet, which I followed unfortunately no improvement seen. As a job I travelled extensively for work, so flights, trains, cars journeys were a real nightmare, as constantly needing to be aware of locations of bathrooms/toilets etc. Meals out / family trips to cinema etc were also a very challenging experience, as no matter what I ate all had the same result, therefore life was incredibly miserable. I then decided to do research for another Gastro Consultant for another opinion, finding Dr Corbett was like finding diamonds & gold. From my first consultation I explained what I had been through and what effects my condition was having with my life, I knew he was going to help as he was the first person who really listened to me & appeared to understand what I was going through. He explained that we would be going through a process to identify the root cause of my condition and what can be done to either cure or manage it. I went through several tests at Nuffield Hospital Cambridge, all of which were carried out in a timely manner, however despite these tests, they showed nothing material of why I was having the issues. After rectal bleeding, inflammation markers and bad stomach pains, Dr Gareth Corbett saw me within days and then carried out a colonoscopy a week later. Not only was my care done so quickly, it was done with a caring and attentive manner. Diverticular disease was found. Adjacent to this, my 18 year old daughter saw Mr Corbett from Dec 24 to Feb 25. My daughter had felt very down and not believed with her many symptoms in the last year, but Dr Corbett was knowledgeable, listened attentively, empathised and was very thorough. His bedside manner was lovely. Due to my concern, he saw her on a weekend appointment, 3 days before Christmas! He didn't rush her at all. He due diligently requested a pelvic MRI as well as bowel, which identified a separate gynaecological issue. He also directed her to the iron infusion specialist Dr Andrew Klein after suffering with anemia for the last year. This iron infusion has helped her immensely in her energy levels. Dr Klein was lovely too. If you need to see a gastro specialist, Dr Corbett is your man.
