I have been under the care of Professor Faiz for approximately 18 months, during which I underwent major and complex surgery performed by Professor Faiz himself. This followed almost two decades of severe inflammation in the bowels, which had resulted in a very aggressive disease with numerous complications. When I first met Professor Faiz, it quickly became clear that he had an exceptional understanding of the progressive nature of my condition, as well as its many intricacies and complications—far beyond any other consultant or surgeon I had previously spoken to. Professor Faiz was extremely thorough in conducting tests and assessments to gain a complete picture of my situation. He then developed a clear surgical plan, carefully considering the best approach while prioritising the elimination of all possible risks. Professor Faiz also collaborates with highly skilled and experienced colleagues, whom he involved at the appropriate stages of my care without hesitation. His secretary has likewise been outstanding and extremely helpful. On several occasions after surgery, I was able to contact her and receive a prompt response from Professor Faiz, which greatly helped to alleviate my concerns. In addition to being exceptionally talented in his field, Professor Faiz is also deeply caring. He understands the human aspect of living with complex conditions and the profound impact they can have on people’s lives. In summary, Professor Faiz is a highly experienced and skilled surgeon who prioritises minimising risk and achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. He is supported by an excellent team. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have met Professor Faiz during what was a very challenging and worrying time, and I could not have asked for better care.

It would be helpful to add the following to your briefing: after surgery - we will offer to help you to a taxi or to the taxi rank, if you do not have a person to accompany you Worth considering clear plastic, wrap around glasses for walking/cycling in windy areas/or where likely to be grit in the air Clear some space in your fridge for the eye drops which will need to be refrigerated If you are travelling invest in a portable coolbag, with icepack to keep eye drops at the required temperature no eye make up on the day or for a month post op / swimming hair washing will be tricky for a few days, so consider dry shampoo explain to people what is normal in terms of recovery day by day over the subsequent days post surgery explain to people what to do, if despite taking the drops, there is a feeling of grit in eyes explain to people - if it is normal or not to see halos or to see with a soft focus - perhaps have images, which are shown ahead of time provide youtube video with how to insert drops - have practise drop session on a pre visit, with non irritant drops, to enable the technique to be mastered The person who provided the medicines did not go through the 'knuckle technique' which is on the document provided, trying to master this when your eye sight is recovering is not straightforward Suggest that patients have ibrufen 200 and or paracetemol at the ready suggest setting alarm on phone at regular intervals for drop taking suggest that surgeon creates faqs to answer frequent questions on the various options of lens, implications

After my atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis, I booked an appointment with Dr Davies at the Park Hospital. He explained the treatment options: medication, a cardioversion (an electrical reset of the heart), or an ablation. His manner and experience are second to none. He helped me understand the options and I decided upon the RF ablation using the new state of the art facility at the Park. Dr Davies and his brilliant team carried out the procedure and the ITU aftercare team were equally impressive. I’m very pleased to say it went well and heart is now back in normal sinus rhythm, and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Davies and everyone at the Park Hospital.

Zachary the audiologist was new to me, but every bit as likeable, knowledgable and engaged as every other audiologist I've had the pleasure to consult with at Harley St Hearing. He really listened to, and answered clearly and thoroughly to every question. He found a less mainstream solution ("Frequency Lowering or compression "), to a nuanced hearing issue I have, which he suggested we tried, and delighted to say it worked extremely well in my case. I can't recommend this practice enough!

I understand went a procedure at Kingsbridge hospital Ballykelly. From my first appointment I was treated with care and respect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My appointment prompt and quick. All question and queries I had where answered in a matter I could understand. On the morning of my procedure the room I was given was clean and bright. Staff were very attentive and made me feel at ease. After the op try he staff where always near taking vitals and super attentive. The staff and doctors made my stay comfortable and mostly pain free.

Before my consultation, I had sent over a couple of recent echocardiogram reports as well as some blood and urine test results. This helped form the basis of my consultation. Professor Rajani has an easy-going manner and gave me his professional advice regarding his observations on the reports. I felt very reassured by our discussion and there is no need for me to have a follow-up appointment at this time.

Dr Austin was very professional as well as being friendly and open and easy to engage with. He took a thorough history and did a full examination before discussing his diagnosis and proposed treatment plan with me. I was confident of his medical expertise and really appreciated his manner. It was only a 15 minute consultation but at no stage did I feel rushed or that more time was needed. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience and would thoroughly recommend.
