The administrative processes are not always easy to naviagate but the staff at the hospital are professional and helpful. Staff on reception seem well briefed on what information is needed from patients. Clinical staff - both on the wards and in the CT scanning teams were professional and reassuring. It would be useful - for people accompanying a patient for a procedure - to have some information about facilities available to them. I was at the hospital for 12 hours and the only way to get something to eat was to go out of the hopsital to buy it. It would have been helpful to have some catering available on site - if only by machine.

Dr Oliver was absolutely wonderful. From the moment he arrived, he was friendly, calm and incredibly reassuring. He took the time to listen properly, explained everything clearly, and made what could have been a stressful situation feel very manageable. I waited longer than usual for my appointment but Mr Sharma was very apologetic. He examined and more importantly listened to me about my concerns. The follow up letter arrived promptly so action could be taken. He gave me a referral for an appointment to have steroid injection which I obtained within 24 hrs. Sadly the referral letter had a couple of mistakes but these were rectified very quickly. Very impressed with the process and we are all individuals so mistakes can happen.

He is a very good listener and willing to explain in detail and very openly test results (Zio patch), causes of symptoms and options available to either medically manage or use evasive methods to investigate or cure a problem. He also respects the patient's decision on the approach of resolving a problem.

Prof Quraishi is a fantastic doctor and technically gifted surgeon . I had a sacro-iliac joint injury many years ago which was fixed in Bristol . Suffered with pain for over 10 years and saw a vast number of specialists . It was only when I saw Prof Quraishi that I knew he could fix me . He did - placed bolts across my SIJ bypassing the previous metalwork. I have had an excellent outcome and he has changed my life !
