I recently visited Professor Banerjee for an assessment at UCLH after a Holter Monitor showed areas worthy of further discussion. I was reassured by his knowledge of my history and why I was there - ie he had thoroughly read my notes, and then wanted to hear my recollection of what had happened - and asked questions throughout to gain a full picture. His explanations were thorough and he made sure I understood what everything meant - the medical terms and then what these mean in layman terms. I not only felt that he was extremely knowledgeable and professional - but also that he cared. I went in, apprehensive. I left feeling very reassured that whatever the result, I was being looked after by the best person. A minor but not insignificant point is that I was sat in the waiting room as he arrived in the morning. He greeted the team warmly. He then went to get coffee, not before having a friendly chat again with the reception team, asking if he could bring them coffee also. A very nice touch. My feedback relating to this meeting with Professor Banerjee is 100% positive, thank you.

Due to the wait on the NHS, I researched some private alternatives. From my very first call to enquire, I felt listened to, understood, and guided towards Mr Wassim Hassan. From our initial consultation through to reviewing my NHS results and discussing the treatment options available, I felt completely at ease. Mr Hassan explained my case clearly and helped me understand each step of the proposed hysterectomy plan. Within just two months, I underwent my surgery; which I’ve since learned was quite a complicated! Throughout the entire process I felt exceptionally well cared for. I cannot thank Mr Hassan enough, his expertise, professionalism, reassurance, and care made what could have been a daunting experience a truly positive one. A future HRT plan is in place and explained thoroughly the medications recommended and follow up appointments scheduled. It has been an absolute pleasure being under the care of Mr Hassan.

I was called into his room by the nurse. He entered from the adjacent room and greeted me with a smile. He asked me how I was feeling after knee replacement which was two months after the surgery. He looked at the operated knee and told me to move it straight as much as I can. And than the other knee. He was very happy with the movement and was happy as I had done all the exercises regularly. He was happy to discharge me . He told me I will be contacted by a nurse in six months. He shook my hand and smiling I left the room. In his presence I was very comfortable. Very caring and professional.

I would not choose Spire as a private patient. The nursing staff were fabulous but the overall experience was poor. I feel that since they now take 80% nhs patients then the overall standards have dropped. After my operation I ordered an evening meal that didn’t materialise and after starving for over 24 hours was able to get a chicken sandwich eventually. The breakfast was quite simply atrocious. Cold scrambled egg, awful tea, toast inedible due to being soggy. I recently had emergency surgery at Taunton NHS hospital and they were far superior to this hospital.

The spinal specialist I’ve been under is outstanding. He was very positive yesterday about my condition at two weeks after spinal stenosis surgery: I was walking more upright. It was hard to note that I was only two weeks post-op.. That was very encouraging to me. He said I could begin physios next week, earlier than I had anticipated. But he stressed recovery would take several months.. He will do a further review before. Christmas. Overall I am very pleased at the way things are going and hugely grateful to the surgeon and clinic.

I would advise any menopausal women who may need help to come to the Cora menopausal clinic. Emily was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked into her room and till when I left. I had a gastroscopy at St Joseph's and was extremely nervous due to a bad experience at another hospital some years ago. Dr Czajkowski and team were absolutely amazing, reassuring me and helping to put me at ease as soon as I arrived. I need not have worried as the procedure was carried out so professionally with minimal discomfort. I won't hesitate to recommend St Joseph's to anyone I know needing that procedure, or similar.

Highly recommend the advice and treatment provided by Miss Thompson. As a runner I was suffering from persistent ankle pain for which rest and physio made no difference. Miss Thompson recommended an ankle arthroscopy at which she found scar tissue and was able to surgically remove on the day. Always sceptical if surgery is the right option however a correct diagnosis and skilful treatment has seen a huge improvement
