Last year, I decided to see Mr Holland after experiencing several years of severe symptoms of what I thought the time was endometriosis or PCOS. I was quickly put ease when Mr. Holland was talking through various symptoms and next step plans, including a helpful referral for a urologist and scans. I didn’t feel pushed to go through a certain route and was carefully provided with all the risks that came with surgery - I was also listened to and that made me feel seen considering my symptoms. However, my surgery experience with Mr Holland and his team was absolutely exemplary from start to finish before my operation. I had various tests and one test came back. That wasn’t completely accurate so they encouraged me to come in and sort this out rather than leave it, on the day of surgery I always carefully walked through what was going to happen I had nurse advice and the care at the hospital that I received was 10 out of 10. Post surgery I wasn’t pushed out the door and was encouraged to begin my rehab firewalking and the nurse was close to be monitoring me. I wasn’t just left and following up I was I had regular checks and even post three months after surgery I had a consultation and was advised of appropriate next steps. I appreciate how scary this situation can be for young women, but I was always put it ease and no requests or question was too silly or small, now almost 8 months per surgery I feel like I totally new woman and that is all thanks to Mr Holland.

Mr Darmarajah Veeramootoo

General Surgeon

Mr Veeramootoo was the surgeon for my procedure to fix an inguinal hernia. The procedure was carried out at Spire Clare Park Hospital in mid-December 2025. I met with Mr Veeramootoo for a consultation in October and then again on the morning of my procedure. During these meetings he clearly explained what would happen during the procedure and he answered all my questions. Mr Veeramootoo visited me once more, when I had recovered from the general anaesthetic and confirmed that the procedure had gone smoothly. I was able to return home the same day. In the first week following the procedure, I was fortunate in experiencing very little real pain and the general discomfort in the area of the procedure had largely gone by the end of the second week. I regained my mobility very quickly and was able to walk multiple miles without discomfort by the end of the first week. Now, four weeks after the procedure, I feel largely back to normal, my body providing only occasional reminders that I shouldn't be doing anything too strenuous. Overall, I have a very positive view of the care I received. I wish to extend my thanks to Mr. Veeramootoo and to all of the staff who were involved in my treatment and care.

I was very impressed with my consultant but the hospital care was terrible. I had a 2 night stay and it wasn’t until the day I was leaving that I managed to have a shower and get out of the surgical gown into my own nightdress. I felt that the anaesthesiologist was very rushed with her consultation and did not listen to my concerns and as a result I had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic. After leaving the hospital I has 2 weeks of feeling very dizzy and sick then a rash appeared all over my body. My initial consultation was very positive and everything was explained well but the hospital experience and the aftercare were not so good.

After seeing several gynecologists, Mr Raza was at last the most reassuring and straight forward in explaining why having a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy would be the best way forward for me. Every person is different of course but he is so knowledgeable, kind and professional. Mr. Bell performed a micro discectomy after I had suffered chronic pain for a significant time. At a consultation prior to the procedure, he gave a clear and helpful explanation of what would happen and how I was likely to feel post op. Due to the nature of the procedure, I was pain free almost immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Bell, whose professionalism and obvious experience inspires confidence. He is also friendly and approachable and genuinely interested in his patients. The care I received at HCA London Bridge Hospital was also second to none.

My surgeon Mr David O’Reilly was absolutely brilliant talked me through everything what could happen, the procedure and didn’t leave no details out which made me calm and confident I was in safe hands. My surgeon came to see me before the operation checked I was ok and also came to see me after the operation which I was very grateful for as he talked me through everything that he had done. I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing the surgery I had done.

I am extremely happy with Mr. Ho's professionalism and the results of my cataract procedures. Mr. Ho is an excellent communicator with a very calm (and calming) demeanor, and helped me decide on which lenses to opt for, what goals to aim for, and what to expect based on a variety of options. Throughout the procedures he communicated with me and made sure they were as stressless as possible. Everything was good but the house keeper was rude . when i came to the building i don’t know which button to press and there was board (if you have any issue you can contact house keeper . I press that button and i told him i have medical appointment he was like do you appointment with me ,he was so rude . He could simply say that press number 15 thats it . But my experience with doctors and other staff was excellent.

My GP sent referral for RTN in January 2025. According to their announcement on the ADHD website, the waiting time was 8-9 weeks. Unfortunately, I was waiting couple of months. My assessment was done in October and on my outcome appointment, which was a year after, the 3rd doctor was involved a d decided to do one more assessment. Without prior arrangement or agreement. Poor customer service, dishonest administration.

After failing to get an appointment with my GP, my Daughter made an appointment for me at WLC , within a couple of hours of phoning I was seen by the lovely Dr. York. She identified me having a chest infection, and reduced power in my lungs . Collected prescription from chemist. At 82 , I think I would have ended up in hospital had it not seen this Doctor. Amazing service Now a day later feeling much better. 😎

I was seen in a couple of days and got advice on medication which made me much more confident for the second (successful) hospital visit. I was lucky to see again Mr Christian Ulbricht who in the past has operated on me and also carried out a superbly skilled and successful operation to repair a broken neck for my wife following a horse riding accident. He is certainly a surgeon par excellence. The receptionist also deserves a mention for his excellent people skills. All in all a very good experience.
