Newmedica Leeds. 5* Care from start to finish. My optician at Specsavers suggested it was time to consider cataract surgery and I was offered an NHS referral to my choice of providers. I chose Newmedica Leeds and just over 2-3 weeks later had an initial consultation at Newmedica. Unfortunately my high blood pressure caused some problems and delayed the first cataract operation to my left eye, after 4-5 weeks weeks I had surgery on my first eye and 5-6 weeks later my second eye was done. Without exception all of the staff I met at Newmedica were friendly, helpful, and very caring. The consultant who carried out the procedure on both eyes (Mr. Kamran Khan) took the time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. During the procedures he was reassuring and calmly explained what was happening. Both procedures were carried out successfully and my sight is so much better now. I would like to give a big thank you to Mr Kamran Khan and his team and my Optometrist Summer Elyoussfi and her team for all the care and attention I received. I have no hesitation in recommending Newmedica Leeds.

All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

Miss Jain is extremely welcoming, thorough in diagnosing and informative regarding procedure. Lisa, Miss Jain’s secretary and Miss Jain maintain regular communication via phone calls and photo messaging, their aftercare communication is very comforting and frequent. The procedure I had bilateral upper blepharoplasty and opening the tear ducts which has relieved my frequent watery eyes and reduced puffiness through taking fat away from under the eyes, alongside taking excess skin from the top lids. I received very good treatment at St John and St Elizabeth ST Johns Wood, all nursing staff were very helpful.
