Moorfields truly deserves its reputation as the best eye hospital in the world. Mr Pal is an exceptional surgeon,highly knowledgeable, calm, polite, and genuinely caring. I have been living with diabetic retinopathy for a long time, and the fear of losing my sight has been constant. Thanks to Mr Pal’s expertise and treatment, my vision is now stable, and I feel reassured that my eyesight is safe. I am also deeply grateful to the entire team who supported me throughout this journey. Mr Pal’s secretary was wonderful, and the lady I spoke to on the phone took the time to explain every step clearly and patiently. She followed up with a detailed yet easy-to-understand email outlining the treatment and costs, which made a very daunting situation much easier to manage. The nursing staff were equally outstanding—kind, attentive, and reassuring at every stage. While the treatment is expensive, it is absolutely worth it when it comes to preserving your eyesight. After living in fear for so long, this care has given me peace of mind and hope again. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Mr Pal. I discovered him purely by chance through an acquaintance, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Moorfields Eye Hospital and Mr Pal to anyone. Mr Christopher Brew

Mr Brew came in to see me on the morning of surgery. I also saw him briefly in the anti room before going into theatre, and then again in my room, post surgery. He said all had gone well and that he would pop in to see me the following day. The physio came to see me several times the next day, so I was up and about with the physio and using the walking aid. Mr Brew popped in again early evening to see how I was, and said he would come and see me the following day. My physio came the next morning and we had more intensive exercises throughout the day. By late afternoon, I was doing well with the exercises and the physio said she was more than happy to discharge me if I would like to go home. So I didn’t see Mr Brew again until Friday this week, when he confirmed that he was happy with the way my knee was looking, then we looked at the X-rays with him and everything looked good. In actual fact, I was just recovering from a migraine on the day of my appointment, and wasn’t confident in asking the questions I had written down. My fault of course, but it is my intention to phone Mr Brews secretary and ask her if she would be kind enough to ask them on my behalf, and let me know the answers. He did say he would arrange to see me again at the end of the year.

I was operated on by Mez and her team on the 16th of September 2025. I can honestly say that the whole experience has changed my life for the better. You asked about 'bedside manner', I can only say that this made all the difference to what, of course, is a stressful and anxiety-driven moment. Maz called me the Sunday before the operation and introduced herself. I knew instantly that I was going to be in good hands. She listened with intent, she asked the right questions, and quickly understood my predicament. She did not overpromise, she didn't assume or discourage, instead she advised and reassured. The circumstance, I hope, is an unusual one (although, sadly, I think that I might be incorrect). I am a 55-year-old woman who has had gynae complications since I was 20 years of age. Only recently being diagnosed with adeimiosis, I have been in chronic pain for years. Mez instantly understood this challenging journey and empathised with my story. I cannot thank her enough. Prior to, during and after her care and attention to patient care was exemplary. Thank you, Mez!

I started TRT last July at a point when I was struggling significantly with fatigue, anxiety, and poor sleep. Since beginning treatment, all of those areas have improved dramatically, and the difference in my overall wellbeing has been genuinely life changing. A large part of that is down to Chris and the environment he has created at Urban TRT. Throughout the process he has monitored my progress closely, explaining results clearly and adjusting treatment thoughtfully where needed. I went privately for a hip replacement. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I was met in reception by a lovely man who took my bag for me an led me to my room. I was admitted by staff who each came to introduce themselves and explain what they would be doing. The room was lovely with a view onto the woodland just outside where a herd of small deer ran past one morning. The food was excellent and the staff were plentiful and friendly. If I had not been there for surgery, I would still have been happy to stay in that room! The surgery was fine and the aftercare was very efficiently handled by all concerned. When I did need to press my buzzer for attention, someone responded promptly and fetched the relevant staff members to help me. I felt safe and well cared for. It was the first time I have had surgery and I was apprehensive but the staff were all calm and reassuring.

I normally don’t write reviews, I’m someone who feels that if you do your job well, there is no need. However I have just been been signed off for my second eye cataract surgery and would like to thank all those involved in bringing this about. It was a long haul as my second eye was so bad after an accident back in my teens that a lens had to be made specially to correct my vision. It took about six weeks to make, but I was kept informed of progress regularly. I have nothing but praise for the people who saw me throughout. From the security guys, reception and medical team, to the optometrists, the surgeon and of course Hannah. As my point of contact, Hannah was there to answer my questions and kept me up to date with progress. Once again thanks one and all. In the nicest possible way, I hope I don’t see you again for a long, long time.

Professor Khalaf gave us the confidence and reassurance to try again, and I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second child. We will be forever grateful to this wonderful Doctor for giving us everything we dreamed of, and we could not recommend him enough!

I had an initial consultation for varicose vein treatment (following a flyer in the post) and following further investigations/diagnosis I went ahead and had an operation. The whole experience from beginning to end was first class. Everything was fully explained to me and all my questions were answered before deciding on the most appropriate treatment. The operation (under local anaesthetic) went well with a nurse talking to me all the time and explaining everything which was happening as as well as distracting me! My recovery went as planned - and as explained - and a follow up visit to see the consultant was very reassuring. All in all I was very pleased with everything and would not hesitate in recommending Shepton Mallet Hospital.

I received a PRP injection - the team and Mr. Panose were kind and professional and the condition I have been suffering for years has vastly improved. The follow up report was delivered promptly - 5 star service. Previous appointments were at the Southampton Spire, this appointment at the Chandlers Ford Nuffield was better in all respects. This was a Saturday appointment, parking may be more difficult on a weekday.
