Mr Bosco is a lovely man and explains everything to you, about the operation and very thorough. Excellent work.

Good plan is clear service is very good

Pre operation information was good but not really appropriate for the procedure I was having but only found this out on the morning of admission so the level of anxiety reduced when I was given the correct information.

Unprofessional on one of his ward rounds where he openly criticised my partner/patient advocate.

I always felt i was in very qualified hands with Mr Bosco. I was pleased to see him a couple of times on the ward checking on recovery progress.

I am very grateful to Mr. Bosco because I'm quite sure he saved my life. During our consultation he recognised the seriousness of my condition and was able to get an urgent appointment for my surgery which took place just two weeks after being seen by Mr Bosco.

Mr Bosco is clearly a very talented surgeon, but he is also very clear with explanations and shows real empathy and interest in his patients. Pre op everything was clearly explained including the op not being straightforward and carrying material risks even for a patient like me in good health. Post op I was surprised how often Mr Bosco visited, which from memory was every day during my stay in hospital. He was clear in explaining expected recovery timeline and the outcome of tests, eg the ECO and x-ray, as well as being happy to take questions and chat more generally. That was really impressive for me and demonstrated a genuine interest in understanding how I was coping with the post op recovery.

Treatment very good...but...6 hour wait in a very small basic room (just chairs) with others for admission...food ok but if you have requirements such as you cannot tolerate spicy food be aware that the staff taking food orders do not know whether food being supplied is spicy... recovery ward very noisy at night

The team were very professional. I didn’t do well on the general ward because I couldn’t eat or sleep. This hampered my recovery. Now home I’m doing well. The immediate post-op hallucinations were traumatic. I think these were drug induced. I found these very disturbing.
