Mr Paolo Bosco

After being diagnosed at St Thomas hospital attended the following week to have a triple heart bypass. Mr Bosco and his team were excellent, the operation went well and was monitored very carefully over the following week. 5 days after the operation I was allowed home to recuperate. Forever grateful that he got to me before I had a heart attack.

From admission to discharge, I found everyone kind, helpful and considerate. I found nothing to complain about.

My surgery for a mitral valve repair was successful. Thank you Mr Bosco and team for taking good care of me before and after surgery. Despite developing complication with my heart's natural pace maker Mr Bosco's cheerful and reassuring manner help me through this very traumatic time.

My experience led me to believe I was an important patient because of the attention I received. Everything was explained very well the procedure and any questions I asked. It was so good to meet the team who made time to see me who would be accompanying me in the theatre with Mr Paolo Bosco, a nice personal touch. They were all so nice and caring.

From our first meeting, Mr Bosco was very friendly, professional and put us( my wife and I) at ease. He explained all of the test results to us and how he would approach this with surgery. He also explained what the risks were, along with after care. He has an empathetic manner and covered all the 4 aspects of my surgery. The surgery itself went very well and ALL staff that I came in contact with , were very kind and I was looked after with great care and attention. He and his immediate team came to see me daily to ensure I was recovering well. I would like to add that at no stage did I feel apprehensive about my surgery as I felt totally at ease under his care.

How to take the medications after the discharge should be stated clearly as patients are still in shock and under some anaesthetic dizziness

I wish I had taken a family member to my first consultation but Mr Bosco was so very kind he re explained all at a later consultation.

My care and the procedure I was in hospital for was carried out very professionally, the procedure had been explained to me by Mr Bosco very clearly, the anesthetists were clear in explaining their procedures and checking on me. In recovery the nurses couldn’t have been more attentive.
