During my recent experience at Cleveland Clinic London, I was under the care of Professor James Teo and Dr. Dipesh Patel for my diagnosis of myelitis. I’d like to share a review of the care, diagnosis, and treatment I received during my short inpatient stay and subsequent outpatient follow-up. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. They took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, listen attentively to my symptoms, and conduct a series of comprehensive tests. The diagnostic process was meticulous, involving advanced imaging and laboratory analyses, all explained clearly, which left me feeling confident about my care. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. The modern hospital environment and top-notch facilities contributed to a positive experience. The nursing staff was attentive and highly trained, providing outstanding care around the clock. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Daily visits from Professor Teo and Dr. Patel allowed me to discuss my progress and any concerns I had, reinforcing my sense of being valued and cared for. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. The clinic’s proactive communication, including test results, appointment reminders and prompt responses to my queries, has greatly supported my journey. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London, particularly under the care of Professor Teo and Dr. Patel, has been exemplary. Their dedication to providing personalized and compassionate care, paired with their expertise, has made a significant difference in my ongoing recovery journey. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Dr James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine for his ongoing efforts in diagnosing a long-standing misdiagnosed knee injury following several unsuccessful procedures. Dr Noake identified relevant pathology on imaging that, unfortunately, had been missed by several other private consultants elsewhere. He then carefully administered a diagnostic injection, taking considerable time to ensure pinpoint precision through a cyst and a very small joint space. Dr Noake is clearly a very busy and sought-after clinician, yet he ensured I received an extensive first face-to-face consultation, with ample time in clinic to explore the problem thoroughly using ultrasound. He also went above and beyond by reviewing both previous and updated MRI scans, speaking to me at short notice via Zoom call during the festive period in order to review images and discuss options. I found this attention to detail and direct liaison to be exceptional as more than once I have had to wait 6-weeks between appointments at other private clinics or hospitals. Dr Noake is clearly dedicated to his craft and approaches his work with diligence, precision, and honesty. From the first point of contact, he inspired confidence through his willingness to answer questions, think critically beyond the obvious, and work collaboratively to reach informed decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Noake to anyone seeking help with complex, long-standing, or less common knee or nerve-related injuries.

Mr Anupam Dixit

From my initial consultation with Dr Dixit right through to my post surgery check up the service I received was fantastic. I could not have asked for any better. Dr. Dixit confirmed I had a small inguinal hernia. He explained the severity, which was quite minor in my case, and clearly explained the two ways to fix it. I opted for keyhole having a quicker recovery time. On the day of surgery, I was first on the list which was music to my ears. I was in theatre for 0830 and I was coming to from the anaesthetic by 10:40. I was on my way home by 13:30 that same day. Very little pain on the first day the next two days following I took the prescribed pain medication, by the fourth day no medication was required. Relatively pain-free after that. I couldn’t recommend Dr Dixit enough to perform this procedure. He answered any questions and explained in great depth what he was going to do, and any of the risks that may occur, fortunately Dr Dixit is extremely professional and he performed an outstanding surgery, four weeks later and I am back in the gym beginning to make up for lost time. Whilst time waiting to see Mr Khan was very quick , if I'd arrived any later I wouldn't have completed my check in and, I arrived more than the recommended 15 mins early more staff on reception required plus I don't think self checking in on tablets helps , whilst fine for me others clearly needed help.After seeing Mr Khan I needed follow up appointments for a scan and,blood/urine tests . Having waited at 1 reception for 15 minutes area to make an appointment for the tests to be brusquely told to go and make my scan appointment as it "Would save time" .When I'm 2 away from the desk don't think it was about saving my time.Then wait at the radiology department reception for another 15 minutes as only 1 person on reception, told they'll need to check with the radiologist and, would call me today as yet they haven't. Return to main outpatient reception to book tests and, amazingly I've now got 6 people in front of me ...finally get to the desk to be told can't do blood test as no one there to do them .Now had there been but because of time wasted there no longer was ? Not impressed by The Spire on this occasion, Mr Khan yes , but everything else no .

Main reception lovely and consultant was great. Imaging receptionist was blunt and frankly dismissive. Now paying invoice for consultation the original price was quoted on phone I found it’s £20 more which isn’t much but when you are self funding every £20 counts! When I complained I was directed to the fees as outlined on my original appointment letter which state it would not exceed £150 which it obviously doesn't but it wasn’t explained that the figure quoted on phone was only an estimate. Pricing should be communicated more clearly for those who don’t have insurance. So far, apart from consultant, a disappointment.

I had recent knee surgery carried out by Mr Shankar , every bit of the process was clearly explained by himself from my 1st consultation up to the final check up. His professionalism is above and beyond. On the day of the surgery he came to see me and again went through the procedure, after I came out of surgery and come around I could straight away feel the difference, 4 weeks on and I feel like a new person. It has gave me back freedom to carry out every day activities. I would like to thank Mr Shankar and his team.

I highly recommend Dr Sandra Hlaing who I decided to seek help with regarding my menopause struggles. She was amazing and explained everything to me in great detail. She was professional but friendly and put me at ease with my situation. I came away with a huge sigh of relief as I was listened to and given a plan which I desperately needed.
